I highly recommend Accredited Driving School- Chuck instructed my son two years ago and I have hired him again to work with my daughter who is now 15. I initially chose to go with Accredited Driving School because I liked that they used hybrid car for all that driving, and I liked that parents were encouraged to ride along during behind- the-wheel training. That gave me the opportunity to learn what my son was learning (and I did learn some things I hadn't known/remembered!) so that I could reinforce them when I was the one supervising his driving. I liked Chuck's friendly, supportive manner, knowledge about what to expect, as well as his flexibility and willingness to work with our schedule for arranging sessions. We were very happy with our choice, and as mentioned, ready to call Chuck again for my daughter.My daughter has not started her behind-the-wheel training yet, so I will write an updated review after we have completed our current driver training. However, we procrastinated in completing the online driver's ed portion so were in a rush to get the certificate. I called Chuck on Friday to find out if there was any way that it could be expedited- we were scheduled for written exam on Sat.- and he drove to our house on Sat morning to deliver the certificate so that we did not have to cancel our appt at the DMV! This company is awesome.  Integrity and quality instruction is #1 with Chuck and his company.  All of my kids have been through his program and all passed their driving test the first time.  Chuck is honest, reliable, and very easy to work with.  He encouraged me to ride along with my first child to put me at ease with how the instruction would go.  All of my kids liked Chuck and his kind and calm instruction. OK.. Here is my review- I called accredited driving school to inquire about driving school for my soon to be 16 year old son. The gentleman (Charles) on the phone asked me where I was located... we live in Carlsbad, I told him... he asked me again... where you, I mean are right now... I said I am currently working in Sorrento valley... he said I will come to you now, show you the car get some papers signed and you can just call to set up the times whenever you're ready.. I told him on the phone... I am not sure I want to sign just yet, I just have questions on the whole procedure since this is my first teenager...he again, said let me come to you and we can talk... I told him "I am in Sorrento valley, but can I just ask you a few questions and we can go from there. He said, no I would like to meet you... kind of creepy... but whatever... (MY BAD!) I wanted to know how this process works and where I need to start (I was excited!)... Anyway... he comes to meet me in Sorrento valley, and I ask away with my questions, how many hours does he need, what happens after that...then I go on to tell him that my son has been sick, and he has to be off meds for three solid months before I even let him behind the wheel... doctors' orders.. (Acute menders disease) causes severe dizziness... ok... anyway... he assured me... if I just gave him a deposit... something to hold he would be open to begin anytime the doctor allowed. I said I am not comfortable with that... since this condition is ongoing... I would like the doctors' orders first... then I will just pay you in full... again... persistent salesman... said... just give me a deposit and worst case, and they don't let him drive... I will give you the money back... lolls... I was like right!! No way... then he said... I will write you an invoice, put my name on it, phone number amount your giving... and you just give me a yes or no when you're ready and I will either begin training your son, or give you back your deposit.. The idea of my son driving... is exciting in itself, I buckled and paid him.Sad to say... my son won't be driving for some time... I have held off on calling him for my deposit back... hoping that with all this testing we would get a good word back and my son would be allowed to drive... Not the case... he still can't until further notice, and just isn't healthy now at all... And turning 18 :( nothing like I had expected...I called Charles after waiting almost a year (praying this whole time... the situation would change for the better).. Also, I had been giving updates to his wife Joellen during this year... she seemed really patient to me and really sweet, take your time... she said... no hurry... today; when I called... she had no recollection of who I was... I finally got the word, he will not be able to drive maybe for another whole year... post op... And I am very sad... and sad for him too... it's the holidays... I let Charles know I kept the note he gave me, and the situation had gotten worse... he was like practically yelling at me, READ OUR WEBPAGE, WE DONT DO REFUNDS!, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SPENT THAT DAY DRIVING TO YOU!!, ITS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE THAT TRANSACTION TOOK PLACE... it was like the conversation we had was irrelevant. Needless to say... as a business they have NO ADMIRABLE BUSINESS ETHICS...  and for that reason alone, I think you should really consider using ABC Driving school- I volunteered at local homeless shelter with them, they are kindhearted and real... North County School of Driving also has served many of my sons friends in the Carlsbad area as well... and they passed their test... YELP REVIEWS FOR ACCREDITED DRIVING SCHOOL HAS A VERY LOW PASSING TURNOVER... SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER... NOT JUST BECAUSE I AM MAD... BECAUSE THESE GUYS ARE SCANDELOUS. Read Less
