I was always anxious of driving.. never wanted to learn but due to circumstances I really had to push myself to do it. I decided that an automatic was a way forward . Mark has been a very patient instructor(needed to be with me!), encouraging, flexible and professional. After a few lessons in i was more at ease. 7 years ago I failed 3 manual driving tests and sort of gave up. A few months ago I decided to try out an automatic instead and I decided that I was going to keep it relatively to myself to avoid the added pressure (I didn't even tell my family!). 2 weeks ago I took an automatic test and failed with only 2 faults but today... I passed! I have always struggled hugely with confidence when it comes to driving and just before a test I crumble, driving tests for me are worse than job interviews. I am absolutely over the moon and would like to thank Mark immensely for being such a wonderful instructor and all round great guy! I would recommend him to anyone. I hadn't driven for 17 years I needed a refresher course in an automatic car after going on the internet I spotted Rutland Driving School thought i'd give it a go what a complete difference in my driving I feel a lot more confident and positive. Mark is so easy to talk to he's getting me doing manovers I never would of expected myself to do. Thanks to Mark i'm doing 3 point turns, reversing round corners and parking. Definetly one to consider if it's driving you want to do whether it's an automatic or manual car he has both. Read Less

Mark has a very high standard of teaching, and this, combined with his patience and relaxed conversation, meant I was easily able to build up experience and confidence behind the wheel.I found that the relaxed atmosphere, with no pressure to hurry into any tests and lessons tailored to my needs, enabled me to learn and practice at my own pace- which was very reassuring. I took the test when I felt ready, helping me to pass first time. Continuing onto the Pass Plus course with Mark was also great- with the continued laughs and support, the course, that only lasted a few days, was highly enjoyable, and the fact that it was free was an added bonus!All-in-all a great success!
