After having a break from driving due to some questionable lessons I had with a previous instructor, Etty's lessons were incredibly refreshing to have to reintroduce me back into driving. His lessons were always informative, personal, and specific to improving my confidence and driving ability, catching uncorrected habits in the first few hours of lessons and teaching correct methods. From the beginning he was always easy to get on with, making lessons relaxed and enjoyable to have, Etty himself easy to joke around with. He always made an effort in seeing my mistakes from my perspective, attempting to understand what my reasoning was before displaying the correct method and explaining what I did wrong. After 6 months of weekly lessons and a first time pass I highly recommend YDA - specifically Etty, as a professional, patient instructor who was able to laugh with me at my silly mistakes and genuinely took interest in what I had to say outside of driving. I previously had an instructor who was not really up to scratch in terms of being on time for lessons and the content we covered. However, Etty was miles apart from this, we got on like a house on fire from the first lesson and he made me feel so comfortable behind the wheel, meaning I passed my test first time with three minors today. I was never the most confident driver previously, but i can now honestly say I feel so much better behind the wheel and I owe it all to Etty. Where can I even start! This driving school is literally the best, most hardwordworking, and patient driving school there is out there for absolutely ANY learner. Having previous instructors that did not teach properly how to drive, becoming fed up and traumatised I eventually just gave up and stopped driving for a year. Joining YDA and my driving instructor who was Etty, picked out my weaknesses during my first driving assessment and there were so many regardless of me havin...g a year and a half of driving lessons. Now, I know that I am probably one of the most hardest and challenging learners to teach and to please and I didn't think there was anybody out there who could meet my expectations and be so patient with me. However, I was wrong, because Etty taught me so well and tirelessly to build my confidence and to work on my 'so many driving errors'. His lessons were always fun and full of enthusiasm! I literally cannot reccomend this driving Academy enough, again I reinforce it is the best driving school out there and I would tell anyone to invest their money, it is worth everyyy single penny! I passed first time with YDA. Started lessons in Oct/Nov 2016 and passed in Feb 2017. I did have some road experience from my motorbike to give me a head start. But YDA were very good at making confident in the car.Read Less

I could not be happier; I took my practical test today and passed first time! That would not have been achievable had I not received such a high standard of teaching from Etty at YDA. Could not thank YDA enough, specifically Raj for teaching me to drive, leading me to pass first time! There is not one bad thing I could say about the teaching I received. I was made to feel at ease and had some good conversations throughout , as well as being taught how to drive to a high standard of course! Being questioned on what I did wrong and why that may have happened really helped to tackle it so it wouldn't happen again. I passed my practical test with Etty first time 6 years ago and I want to thank him and say that I am eternally grateful. being able to drive and have the independence that I only dreamed of has changed my life. Etty recognised that I didn't have a lot of confidence and he made the whole experience enjoyable. instead of being nervous I found myself looking forward to my lessons and only being disappointed when they were over.
