Passed my test with Bryan Jack. I'm glad I picked Top Gear as they were helpful and had excellent communication. I had a bad experience with a previous instructor which made me feel like I couldn't drive. Bryan was patient and helped me gain confidence on the road. He is supportive and easy going which makes the lessons enjoyable to improve my driving skills and knowledge about safety on the road that I will need in the future when I am out in my own. The teaching methods are straight to the point and understandable. Great driving school! Top Gear Driving School is the best! And many thank to Bryan Jack! Can't recommended Bryan Jack and Top Gear Driving School enough! Thankfully though I'm a bit better at driving now thanks to Bryan Jack, and to top it off I've managed to pass my test! He was able to skilfully identify my weak points and focus on them to bring them up to standard. During the driving experience, it was very fun to drive with Bryan Jack, his very very patient to his pupil and very passion for his job every single moment. I am so thankful i found this driving instructor as a bad experience with a previous instructor caused me to waste alot of money, raised my anxiety & shot my confidence completley. I am not a born driver & gave up hope but my own & family health made learning to drive an essential. Johnny has been a god send. He is professional in his skill but relaxed & funny with his manner. This combination put me at ease but also constantly focussed & learning. Avoid!! Very unprofessional company, and instructors. John Fergie shouldn't be allowed to 'teach' anyone, and complaining to the owner Johnny, is a complete waste of time. Save yourself a LOT of money and time, get recommendations from friends and family, don't rely on these overly 'wonderful' reviews below, like I did. Edit: I was told by Johnny that he didn't have any instructors named 'John' working for him now, clearly a lie after reading more recent reviews. I recently passed my test thanks to Lisa at Topgear! I needed to pass within a strict timeframe because I work abroad and was only back in the U.K. for a little over 2 months. Other driving schools had let me down by promising me they could provide the hours I needed and then couldn't deliver. Topgear saved the day by booking me in straight away, they assured me I'd get the tution I needed to pass and they didn't disappoint. Great tuition. I hadn't taken a lesson in eight years, and after a short assessment lesson, he was able to recommend an appropriate course for me. After only a 10 hour intensive course over two days, and one final hour before my test, I passed first time with two minors! I just passed with Top Gear after trying and failing to make progress with two other major driving schools. I had resigned myself to the fact that maybe driving wasn't for me, and going to Top Gear was my last ditch attempt to learn. What a complete difference to my experience with other schools. I felt I was making progress all the time, which really improved my confidence. Johnny is a brilliant instructor, patient, explains things clearly, and always up for a bit of banter, which really helps put you at ease. If I can learn with Top Gear anyone can. Just passed my test thanks to Bryan on my second attempt(But over two years apart). Bryan was great at getting me comfortable in the vehicle and if I had any issues I got them dealt with and cleared up straight away. He has a great sense of humour which makes learning to drive so much easier and relaxing while learning. I had a very unprofessional and undependable driving instructor. After disputing with me that they had waited a few minutes too long on this one occasion they decided that the whole arrangement wasn't working for them!!! and knowing that i had my driving test in a few weeks time decided to stop tutoring me and left me with extremely short notice to find a new instructor,  spend MORE MONEY!! to simply show  someone else what i already know! and get test ready within a couple of weeks!!. Unbelievable and shocking over reaction i think for the first time having to wait a few mins on me going out to the car - which could have easily been taken off my hour anyway since it was that big an issue for them!. Although i bet most of the tutors are actually good, one instructor has shown me a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Read Less
