Please avoid this school — I wish someone had warned me
I booked with Tashman Driving School just two days before my test. The price was $350 — $50 via bank transfer to secure the booking, then $300 cash on the day. He texted me three times just to remind me to bring cash, which already felt like a red flag.
My test was scheduled for 1:45 PM at Bondi Junction, and we agreed to do a 1-hour warm-up lesson at 12:45 PM. I arrived early and messaged him — no response. When I finally called, he casually said he was in Chatswood, thinking the test was there. I had clearly told him multiple times it was in Bondi Junction. He remembered the money — but not the location.
He showed up 30 minutes late, and there was no time left for any lesson. He just said, “Go do the test.” On top of that, I had to rush home for 26 minutes to grab my international license (my mistake), so I went into the test stressed and completely unprepared — and failed.
After all that, he offered to rebook at the exact same full price again, with no apology and no ownership of what happened. He even claimed that my trip home counted as the lesson, and offered $50 off for being late — as if that made it okay.
It honestly felt like he didn’t care whether I passed or failed. He just wanted to get paid and move on. The entire experience felt disorganized, stressful, and more like a cash grab than a real driving school.
Looking back, a lot of the 5-star reviews seem fake — they don’t reflect what I went through at all.
If you're thinking of booking this school for a last-minute test, think twice. You're not getting real support or proper instruction — you're just rolling the dice.
There are much better, more professional schools out there.
