DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, I do not say “totally dishonest” lightly but that would be putting it mildly. In February my son took mandatory training from this company, as per agreed they needed to file it with the DMV. They did not, and my son who is away in college got his licence suspended. After repeated promises to call us back, which they never once did, the ‘School” Admitted fault and promised to resolve it the next day and call me back. She blamed in on a "computer glitch" that they already knew about. This marks the first of a never ending line of excuses. Off course they did nothing. Several UN returned calls latter I once again got a hold of Ms Hover. A woman who is truly not to be trusted. Going on May 1st I finally got a hold of her again this time she acted like this was my first time call, and she didn't know me. She asked to call me back as she had other lines ringing. (her typical way of getting off the phone) I refused as she has NEVER once kept her word and returned a call. She then gave me a new excuse (this would be the 4th after her sick kid excuse) never before used this entire time, a brand new one and that she “needed to talk to my son because he was the student” ALTHOUGH she has not made a single effort to contact him. I am certain this is because she felt it was now time to just give him a run around. To fix this I now need to spend another $175.00 with the DMV After I informed her she can deal with me she hung up. I called back, no answer Tomorrow I am filling a complaint with the county, small claims court and BBB. 5-3-18 just a quick update so far as we all expected no return call, no attempts of any kind to contact us and they still haven't done their job and filed it. We have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and are filling out the small claims court paper work now, will update later.

I took training on Stick Shift/Manual Transmission with John, and I'm glad I did. I've always wanted to learn stick, and John was a patient and informative instructor. I had never even touched a gear shifter before so I was nervous just getting started, but after 3 two-hour sessions, I felt confident enough to go and get myself a manual car.
The lessons were paced very well, and allowed me to build up confidence with a knowledgeable instructor. The first two lessons were in residential neighborhoods, and the third lesson took place on busier streets and the highway. By the end, we had methodically gone through every scenario I could imagine, from winding curvy roads, to starting up steep hills, to merging into highway traffic, and even little tricks like simulating how to start a car with a dead battery by rolling down a hill. I definitely recommend this driving school for learning stick.

I moved to the states not very long ago and was very nervous about learning to drive as i had no real prior driving experience. However John really helped me with this transition. He was very patient and professional in teaching me safe defensive driving techniques. There was no yelling whatsoever and i'd say that it has really helped me increase my confidence in driving. I would especially recommend this driving school to anyone who is relatively new to driving and is also anxious like me. Best of Luck. Happy Driving!..:)

I moved to the states not very long ago and was very nervous about learning to drive as i had no real prior driving experience. However John really helped me with this transition. He was very patient and professional in teaching me safe defensive driving techniques. There was no yelling whatsoever and i'd say that it has really helped me increase my confidence in driving. Finding a driving school to learn to drive stick-shift near Washington, DC proved to be a challenge. However, A2Z Driving Academy and my instructor, John made the trip out to Virginia worth it. John is an excellent and patient teacher.
He not only taught me the mechanical skills to drive, but with his tips, clear instructions and professional demeanor gave me the confidence to drive on the road and highways with ease.
John helps you run through different scenarios so that you don't panic when you car, inevitably, stalls as a beginner driver. With John's guidance, you will be able to drive safely and confidently here or abroad.

I registered for a 2-day manual shift program with John. Not only was he patient, but he also pointed out exactly what I needed to do in order to improve. By the second day, I was able to drive stick shift starting on a steep gradient hill and felt very comfortable driving on the highway. I also want it to be known that I attempted driving manual once....and that was 10 years ago. If you want the fastest way to learn how to how drive stick shift comfortably, John is the way to go!

This driving school was spectacular! I was 19 at the time and researched many different driving schools in the area before deciding on this one. I used to be a very anxious driver, as the instructor can attest to. I was a nervous wreck my first lesson, but after the second and third, his instruction really helped me improve my skills. By the end of the seven sessions, I was completely confident in my driving ability and passed the test at the DMV on the first attempt. I've grown increasingly comfortable with my driving and feel even safer behind the wheel after taking this course. My instructor, John, was very kind and never raised his voice at me. He stayed calm even when I was internally freaking out and really helped me become more comfortable. I would highly recommend this school for first-time drivers who are anxious and nervous about getting started on the road.

I took my Drivers Ed class with A2Z and it was enjoyable. It was comfortable and easy to understand. I also took my Behind the Wheel class with them. It was a generally calm atmosphere in the car. The key is to be confident, and not to rush yourself. Luckily, I was able to take a break and get more practice before returning for my final drivers test. The ladies at the office were really nice as well because they checked up with me and wanted to make sure I was ready before I took my test. Would recommend to someone who wants a thorough driving course that will prepare them for the dangers of the road.

I rarely ever give out one star. Well, it sucks to suck.I've heard good things about this driving school and decided to give the Behind the Wheel program a try. All seemed well until they never showed up at the appointed day and time for the lessons to start where we were to be picked up from home. We were told that we were going to get a confirmation e-mail a day or two before the actual Behind the Wheel program started and it never happened. So just to be sure, we called the company at around 9 AM on Saturday (the supposed day of the first time they'd pick us up) and we were told that they were unprepared and to call back in an hour or so. But wait? What's that? Do my eyes deceive me or does the opening time read 7 AM on Saturdays?Get your life together, A2Z. Additionally to that, when we did call back we were never responded to even when we told them to call us back. Multiple calls later in the day were still to no avail.We tried calling to cancel today but even then, that couldn't be done. Either they're ignoring us or zombies came to eat them.I'm 105% done. Bye.Also, the grammar/spelling on the website are horrendous.

I have emailed them several times and called and left messages and haven't received a response. The 1 time I got someone on the phone he told me I had to email them, then he hung up. Don't use these tools, ever.

Wish I could give a review of the instruction - but the instructor never showed up! Eleven days before the class was scheduled, I registered my daughter for the classroom Driver Improvement 8 hour class to be offered in Springfield, VA. Registration is done online from the school's website. The website never provided any indication that the class would not be held. We arrived 10 minutes before the start time, and waited about 25 minutes but no instructor never showed up and we didn't see any other students there either. I checked the website and there was no indication of a cancellation. Calling the main number got a recording. I'm willing to acknowledge that maybe the registration form submission wasn't received, but if there's an issue with web submissions, the website should indicate the need to follow up with a phone call. And someone should answer the main phone number in the hours close to the scheduled start time for a class even if it is on a Sunday. At least I didn't pay in advance! We'll be looking somewhere else for a driving class. Next stop for me is AAA.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, I do not say “totally dishonest” lightly but that would be putting it mildly. In February my son took mandatory training from this company, as per agreed they needed to file it with the DMV. They did not, and my son who is away in college got his licence suspended. Finding a driving school to learn to drive stick-shift near Washington, DC proved to be a challenge. However, A2Z Driving Academy and my instructor, John made the trip out to Virginia worth it. John is an excellent and patient teacher.

I registered for a 2-day manual shift program with John. Not only was he patient, but he also pointed out exactly what I needed to do in order to improve. By the second day, I was able to drive stick shift starting on a steep gradient hill and felt very comfortable driving on the highway. I also want it to be known that I attempted driving manual once....and that was 10 years ago. If you want the fastest way to learn how to how drive stick shift comfortably, John is the way to go!

This driving school was spectacular! I was 19 at the time and researched many different driving schools in the area before deciding on this one. I used to be a very anxious driver, as the instructor can attest to. I was a nervous wreck my first lesson, but after the second and third, his instruction really helped me improve my skills. By the end of the seven sessions, I was completely confident in my driving ability and passed the test at the DMV on the first attempt. I rarely ever give out one star. Well, it sucks to suck.I've heard good things about this driving school and decided to give the Behind the Wheel program a try.
