If you don't have at least 8 - 9 months on a bike, don't waste your money. They will kick you out of class on the 2nd day cause you're "holding up the class" and you will not get a refund. Took the basic rider course over a Saturday/Sunday. I had never seen a motorcycle up close, nor had I ever driven a manual vehicle before. The instructor, William, was awesome. I went into the course with the goals of learning how to ride the safe way, while still wanting a little fun for the weekend as well. He did an absolutely great job of explaining things to someone like me, who was a bit timid and didn't have frankly any knowledge on the topic and even threw in some comedy as well. On the range, he really pushed a few topics (if you take/took the course, you know what I'm talking about) over and over so that it became engrained as a skill. He was also realistic and honest about the course. Skill comes with time and he said that the real test was out on the road, so he could only cover the bare basics in the time provided. I essentially went into the course expecting some safe knowledge and some fun and came out with a lot of fun and knowing what else to look into and practice before going on more risky roads than others.
