It’s 9:20am just got off the phone with a short and snapping women. I have no reason to give a customer or potential customer a attitude. I had asked about obtaining hardcopy drivers handbook, I didn’t know that’s wasn’t possible. could have been nicer, and told that information in a more polite way. Look we all get busy but learn some manners on the phone, it’s embarrassing to your company!

Let me start by saying that I had been struggling to get my license for about two years for a number of reasons. The person I had been learning from previous to seeking a such driving school wasn't the best teacher.Once their car didn't pass inspection. We were late once. Tried to get a rental once but I couldn't drive it. My work got in the way once. It felt like the universe was against me. ((((*｡_｡)_
Anyway I decided to just find a driving school to rent a vehicle from. I called around and it seemed like no one was in that business. I was hopeless until someone suggested Austin Driving School. ( ﾟ∀(・－・)
I called them up and they gave me a quote. They gave me a day to think about it. I really appreciated that. I called back the next day, paid over the phone, and discussed the details of my road test appointment.
The day of the test the instructor arrived exactly when they said they would. We had a 45 minute lesson. They took me almost the exact route I went during the test. They went over all the key maneuvers including parallel parking, which is something that I've never done successfully before. They encouraged me a lot.

The whole time they were very patient with me and attentive. The whole process was pretty much stress free. I do have one gripe. The phone number for that location in Google Maps goes to the main office in Austin rather than the office here. ｢(ﾟo ﾟ)
So, in conclusion, it was well worth it. And, I am a very satisfied customer. Oh yeah, I did pass the test. (／_^)／ . I can't say they taught me everything, but the devil is in the details they say.

If you do not want to be in a car wreck while learning, call me, at Rhodes Driving School. Need verification/proof of my identity? Ask both of the people who gave a good review on this page who their instructor was. I also have very good reviews on other sites as well.

I signed up for the adult driving classes with Austin driving school just recently and my experience was excellent......my driving instructor Mrs.Esther was great she went out of her way to make sure I passed my driving test and indeed I did....so I recommend her as a instructor and this driving school.

If there was a minis rating i would give minis 5 to them. The manager Ester is not only difficult to deal with but also rude. and when ever i called for my appointment she didn't have time slot available and when i called during her office she refused to talk as she was busy with something more IMPORTANT. During the lesson she didn't give the full time as she had a bunch of excuses. i took me two months just to finish 4 lessons of 1 hours 30 minutes each

I had such a great experience at Austin drivign school. The teachers like Mrs. Mendez were very nice and extremely helpfull, and the driving instructers like Mr. Reyna were very social and are very good at their job. I highly suggest Austin as a place to enroll.

Either this place is under new management or I got massively lucky because my experience was nothing like these other posts. I signed up for the six-hour adult behind-the-wheel lessons about three weeks ago. I took one lesson a week and used the fourth lesson to take my driving test yesterday. And I passed. And I was basically starting from scratch. They key for me was PRACTICING between lessons. I didn't have any problems with scheduling or smells or any of that. My instructor was friendly and gave solid advice and in the end, I passed after only three weeks of driving.

Glad to be done with them. Very unprofessional, dirty place, inside and out. Some drivers are smokers, and smell if it. Rhodes Driving school is down the block, at least the place looks better. All problems are handled by a little girl out of Austin, the owners daughter.

After several years of taking their defensive driving course, I will no longer recommend this driving school. I contacted their office on Wed to find out when next DD course would be. Told this Sat from 8:30 to 2:00. Cost $25 for both insurance discount & ticket dismissal. Asked if we need to pre-register & told no, just show up by 8:15. Husband & son took off from work so we could all attend. Get there & told to sign in on 2 different forms & fill out the 3rd form. Turns out there is no DD class & according to the instructor there hasn't been in years. She makes a call only to tell me again there is no DD class. My husband walks out & she makes a rude remark while I'm standing there. I ask her for the phone number & she tells me it's on the outside of the building. Just how hard would it have been for her to tell me the number. Did she apologize for their incompentency, NO! I call the driving school to be put on hold for 15 min & I have to call back as I'm on terminal hold. They have no clue why I was told there was a DD class this Sat. They have to have at least 3 people for a class which we were 3 people. They will call me Monday to see if they can hold a class next Sat. I am not holding my breath . Oh, the instructor did offer their video course at $42 each. That must be because the video is much more informative. I don't know why they even bother to advertise Defensive Driving. I rated this 1 star as I HAD to at least give it 1 star. I would not have even given them half a star.

If your child has no experience driving, this school is not the place for them. The driving instructor told my teenager she should already have been practicing at home with her driving. I paid these idiots over $400 for class and driving instruction. Also, you have to wait until it's convenient for the school to sign you up for driving. It's a 1st come 1st serve basis. To top it off the staff at Bandera Rd are very rude and unprofessional. One day, a staff member was being very rude to a student. I could go on and on with a list of complaints.

I went there when I was 16, and when we would do something wrong, like not look when crossing a intersection the/my instructor would smack me on the leg but I'm a guy, so i did not think of anything, but that was 4,1/2 years ago. before all the church dudes and Michael Jacksons got to look out for people like that. :(

I signed up for their Driver's Education course but decided to quit after two days. The quality of their classroom instruction was absolutely poor. They had a policy at the time, stating, "You have three days to quit a course for any reason, and we will refund your money in full." Well, I did exactly that; however, they didn't refund my money. They technically stole over $300 from me. That says a lot about their character. I will never send any of my children to learn to drive here. There are other schools in San Antonio which are much better and more honest. I was robbed out of over $300! Never will I recommend them to anyone ever again.

I went in to sign up driving school and the girl at the counter was very rude. I asked her questions about a certain class and her answer conflicted with what was on the website. I asked her why it conflicted and she said "Lady, I dont' have any idea, I have never seen the website, this is just how it is!" Meanwhile during this exchange there was a man at the desk having a loud phone converstion. He was stating over and over, "I didn't hit her, I would never do anything like that! I swear I didn't hit her" hmmmmm I don't know what that was about, but between him and the rude girl at the counter I took my business elsewhere!

It’s 9:20am just got off the phone with a short and snapping women. I have no reason to give a customer or potential customer a attitude. I had asked about obtaining hardcopy drivers handbook, I didn’t know that’s wasn’t possible. could have been nicer, and told that information in a more polite way. Let me start by saying that I had been struggling to get my license for about two years for a number of reasons. The person I had been learning from previous to seeking a such driving school wasn't the best teacher.Once their car didn't pass inspection. We were late once. I signed up for the adult driving classes with Austin driving school just recently and my experience was excellent......my driving instructor Mrs.Esther was great she went out of her way to make sure I passed my driving test and indeed I did....so I recommend her as a instructor and this driving school.

The manager Ester is not only difficult to deal with but also rude. and when ever i called for my appointment she didn't have time slot available and when i called during her office she refused to talk as she was busy with something more IMPORTANT. During the lesson she didn't give the full time as she had a bunch of excuses. i took me two months just to finish 4 lessons of 1 hours 30 minutes each

I had such a great experience at Austin drivign school. The teachers like Mrs. Mendez were very nice and extremely helpfull, and the driving instructers like Mr. Reyna were very social and are very good at their job. I highly suggest Austin as a place to enroll.

Either this place is under new management or I got massively lucky because my experience was nothing like these other posts. I signed up for the six-hour adult behind-the-wheel lessons about three weeks ago. I took one lesson a week and used the fourth lesson to take my driving test yesterday. And I passed. And I was basically starting from scratch. They key for me was PRACTICING between lessons. I didn't have any problems with scheduling or smells or any of that. My instructor was friendly and gave solid advice and in the end, I passed after only three weeks of driving.

If your child has no experience driving, this school is not the place for them. The driving instructor told my teenager she should already have been practicing at home with her driving. I went there when I was 16, and when we would do something wrong, like not look when crossing a intersection the/my instructor would smack me on the leg but I'm a guy, so i did not think of anything, but that was 4,1/2 years ago. before all the church dudes and Michael Jacksons got to look out for people like that. :(
