I've recently moved to Plano and the first thing I wanted to do, to feel independent in the city, was to get a driving license. I got in touch with DFW Driving School and they assigned Susan as my instructor. Today I have my license only after 3 lessons and I feel very confident about driving. Susan is a great instructor and teaches each step of driving very well. She is meticulous and pushes the learner till you get it right. I felt like Susan was personally involved and very hands-on with the teaching. I am extremely impressed and touched with Susan and DFW Driving School. I recommend anyone who is preparing to get a license to go with DFW Driving School. My entire experience was excellent with instructor and the front office guy. Our family lives in Allen, however we had a friend refer us to DFW Driving School in Plano, so we took their advice and signed our son up for the drivers education course even though it was a bit further away from our house. It has only been a positive experience from day one! I HIGHLY recommend their driving course classes and the driving test as well. I wanted to get a car driver's license for my wife and my colleagues referred me to DFW driving school. We booked the learners permit classroom session online. I would rate this school a 0 if i could. My daughter was s student here, there are so many things wrong with this school. First of all the 2 hours classes that you have to attend teach nothing but common sense to these kids, all they show is videos after videos about drunk driving and texting while driving, I understand that this is something they should know but it's not something they should hear every time they go to class. These kiddos need to be taught how to drive, not what not to do! They are also taught to not text in drive in school and by their parents, I paid so that my daughter could be taught road rules. Also every single person that we encountered a drive time with was extremely rude, they are impatient and obviously expect the kids to already know how to drive. There was especially one older white lady that rolled her eyes at my daughter when she couldn't get parallel parking! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I'm paying you to teach her how to parallel park, excuse me if she can't get it on her first and second time perfectly, teach her! Also my child was driving with a kid that had special needs and the driving instructor they both had was more than rude. She would sigh super loud when the poor kid couldn't get the hang of things and she would roll her eyes at him, you need to have PATIENCE with these kids and if you don't have it then why are you working as a driving instructor?! It is also impossible to schedule any drive times here, and they make you pay extra so that they can schedule them for you so that you are guaranteed a spot? Its clear that all they care about here is your money. Overall the teachers here are extremely rude and have no patience to even be teaching to begin with, they expect the child to already know how to drive so their life is easier. Read Less

Perfect Place for a beginner. Jerri has the patience necessary to calm your nerves behind the wheel, especially considering Dallas busy streets, and never ending road construction. Will definitely take more classes for Winter Driving, Highway, and potentially Stick Shift in the future. Read Less

We were thrilled to find that DFW Driving School offered the drivers ed program to coincide with our daughter's Christmas school break. She was able to complete all the required classroom sessions over her break vs. attending evening classes after school was back in session, which was a huge relief for us.
