This driving school offers same day behind the wheel testing! Due to my hectic work schedule and my daughter's unending extra curricular activities, the availability of same day testing was a win for us. The instructor that helped us was very nice and informative. She explained the process and was very thorough with the steps we needed to follow. She was patient and took her time to make sure my daughter was comfortable and ready to test. During testing a few points were deducted but my daughter ended up passing! The instructor explained the points that were deducted, and the importance of each. All in all, I was impressed and satisfied. This driving school is awesome. I had an appointment for road test with DPS but my brake light was out, so I couldn't do the test and the next available appointment is in 5 weeks. I couldn't wait that long. I called Pflugerville driving school to see if they can let me do the road test with them. And YES! They do same day road test. And it is located very close to Pflugerville DPS. I was very happy with the service they provided. My experience with Liz (owner) was great. She was very nice and told me everything I needed to know step by step before hitting the road. After a very disappointing experience at the DPS, and up to a five week wait time to go to their driving test, I decided to look for another driving school. I called, and the woman on the line was incredibly helpful. She helped me book an exam the same day. DPS also failed to mention what I would need to do prior to the test, like watching the Impact Drivers video. The staff was incredibly kind, and let me stay while I took the course on my phone. The driving test took about 20 minutes, and the woman who administered the test made the instructions very clear, offering to repeat them if necessary. I am so grateful to have gotten this level of service, and so quickly. Please do yourselves a favor and stop booking with DPS. Come to the Pflugerville Driving School instead! Ms. Liz is extremely courteous, a true professional and a delight to talk to. Moving to Texas from the east coast, my son (a minor) had to transfer his drivers license over to which Texas DPS issued a learners permit until he took the Texas state road test. After calling several locations provided by DPS, all were enlisting us to have him take a minimum of 14 hour drivers training and then test for an average of $300. Then we called Ms. Liz. Excellent customer service.  My nephew took his driving test yesterday and passed.  The exam was fair and educational for him.  He is 21 and felt like he was an excellent driver, but the test humbled him.  Understanding that young drivers truly require time behind the wheel to understand completely what instructors are teaching them, the school sits down with the young driver after the exam and walks through each area of concern as well what positives they accomplished.  Thank you again for your time and patience with our nephew.  Ricky B Read Less

I got a same day driving test which was awesome. I called the other three companies that were on the DPS' list and this was the only one that did same day tests.Helen was super nice and made the experience painless. Their office is located 7 min from the Pflugerville DPS mega center, so I made an appointment online for after my driving test and a few minutes later walked out with my TX license.Way better than waiting 6-8 weeks for a driving test at the DPS and well worth $150. I recently relocated from California and needed to go through the process again.  After reviewing the DPS site and realizing it could take almost a month to take the test, I did a search to determine if there were any alternatives.  Luckily, I came across this site and they were able to take me same day.  Long story short, I called, the phone was picked up immediately, went for my driving test, received the necessary documentation to take back to DMV and was able to get my license in the same day!!! We took our daughter over to Pflugerville Driving School, which was recommended by another friend of ours.  We were looking to not have to spend 4 hours at the DPS to do something we could schedule without any wait.  We drop 45 minutes to go to this school and we were in and out within 40 minutes including paperwork.  I was please with the owner and the staff.  Ms. Liz and Ms. Darlene we professional, friendly and made our daughter comfortable.  They explained everything to Savanna and then preceded to the test which took about 25 minutes or so.  They took time to tell Savanna things she did really well and then proceeded to tell her things she could have done better.  Savanna passes Ms. Liz and Ms. Darlene gave her a sweet treat.  Savanna was very comfortable and relaxed because of the fantastic communication.  Thank you so much ladies.David & Kelly and Savanna Thate Read Less

Pros and cons:Scheduled a road test for my son because this company is an approved third-party by DPS. The Cons - the business is in a shopping center. Hard to find. The parallel parking portion of the road test was administered in the shopping center parking lot using the upright poles along side the tiny, stand-alone ice-shed building in the shopping center parking lot. Hard to describe but suffice to say, difficult for a new driver to adjust to. Rest of road test was administered on public roads in the area; some were quiet side streets, some were busy thoroughfares. Scheduling the test at the DPS site in Pflugerville would be a much more comfortable experience for the new driver. The owner failed my son for "rolling" through a intersection (which he says is debatable) and she immediately offered to retest him for an additional fee. I felt suspicious when I was instructed to wait in the office and not join them in the car. I believe DPS will let you ride along.The Pros - we paid the additional fee. He retook the test and passed. Whether or not the retake charge was valid, we saved a ton of time not going through DPS and their on line scheduler. The owner is very pleasant and gives good, clear feedback to the new driver. Pflugerville Driving School was an awesome experience from start to finish.  After dealing with many frustrations trying to get a time for my son's driving test at DMV, I was lucky enough to find Liz and Pflugerville Driving School.  I called around 7:00 pm one evening and received a call back from her the very next morning at 8:00 am.  She was able to immediately schedule the test and was very thorough letting us know exactly what documents we needed to bring with us.  Once there, we were greeted by Liz who is not only very professional, but extremely kind and patient.  She immediately put my son at ease which really helps for new young drivers.  Once they finished the test and he passed, she also gave him extra words of wisdom which I am so grateful for.  I can tell this is a woman who is making a difference one kid at a time.  Thank you Liz & Pflugerville Driving School. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with an organization. Liz the owner has an IQ of 60. She cannot use a computer to organize files or appointments. For starters, this school sucks! It's next to impossible to get anyone to answer the phone, schedule a drive time, finish the course on a timely schedule or get the final driving certificate. My daughter finished the course on October 21st and they mailed the certificate on November 14th and my daughters driving appointment was scheduled for November 16th. As you may have guessed, this screwed everything up. She wasn't able to get her license because the driving school told her she didn't need the certificate, when in fact she did.My advice, take your kid and money to Austin Driving School. *Hendrickson Parents BEWARE* ---It's convenient to have the driver Ed classes at Hendrickson H.S. BUT it's NOT worth the frustration of trying to schedule your child's driving times, after. It's a full-time job trying to chase her down and it's NOT worth it.Here's a summary of my experience: This all started in January of 2017. I called, left a message stating I wanted to learn more about the school. Liz called me back within 10 minutes. She was very friendly over the phone. I registered my son and made full payment immediately over the phone. My son finished the classroom portion on February 7, 2017. She told the children they could schedule their driving times online. BUT, the scheduling portion within her website doesn't work.I have sent her emails and left messages for 8 months and she NEVER (NOT ONCE) called me back. Since February, my husband and I have called and driven to her office, regularly trying to reach her. Finally, in late June my husband caught her at her office and scheduled our son's first driving time for July 29, 2017. It took another month of all of us calling her before she called my husband back to finally schedule our son's second driving time (for August 26, 2017).  They called to cancel due to the storm.  At that time, he scheduled two driving times one as a make-up (rescheduled for September 2nd) and an additional time for September 9th. They called my son to cancel September 2, 2017 but didn't reschedule. At his September 9th driving time he was told he had to call to schedule another time.My son has been trying to contact her to schedule his make-up and additional times, without success. She finally answered the phone on September 13, 2017 and stated she would call him right back with a day and time BUT she NEVER called him back. She was very rude and snapped at him on the phone. I overheard her from a distance, as I walked towards my son to speak to her, she hung up. Again, I have been calling and leaving messages and she NEVER calls me back. It's now September 23, 2017 and my son hasn't completed his driving portion to receive his certificate of completion. * She screens all phone calls and only calls people back, if their new customers* She never replies to her emails* Her website hasn't worked in the last 9 months * She's very pleasant to new customers onlyBuyer/consumer BEWARE. I never had this experience with other driving schools. My two older children had wonderful experiences and completed all their training in a timely matter, BUT we lived in a different state. Friendly on the phone, easy to schedule tests, but the test fees were more than double what we were first quoted. Bait and switch.The tester required retesting, which is $60 extra, for going through a yellow light. Fully on the yellow is legal. So this was just a ploy to jack up the fees.Then the tester said that another student's test was failed for another reason, but it was not illegal either. Another $60 charged, ka-ching, are you starting to get the picture?So finally, instead of paying $85 like their website says, we paid $185. $40 extra "because it's Friday" and $60 extra for a yellow light.Go be a customer elsewhere. Had a driving test scheduled w/the DMV in pflugrville and had to wait a month and a half to get an appointment just to drive. when we showed up for the driving test they asked for the impact driving certificate which I had overlooked and he had not done. Needless to say we did not get to drive that day. I asked if we could reschedule the driving test and the lady would not reschedule because it had not been done. The impact video and certificate only took about two hours to complete yet she still would not reschedule. After complaining enough we were given a list of driving schools that would would do the driving test (for a nominal fee) w/ a shorter waiting period. I was wanting to get this done asap and after calling several of the schools listed and getting the run around, I called Liz at PFLUGRRVILLE DRIVING SCHOOL. She was actually out of the office at the time being it was after 5:00 pm, but asked if she could call me back within the hour. She returned my call promptly and was able to schedule the driving test the next afternoon. She was very professional and courteous and comes very highly recommended. Read Less

paid over $300.00 for driving lessons for my child and realized that was worst thing I've ever done, their not organized, late to student drive time and most of all they're rude, and not only to you over the phone but to the student driver. My daughter just got her first drive time/lesson after the class portion was completed since last November, and they ask for another $100 to get her license faster verses driving for next 6 months. This is the most unprofessional and disorganized driving school I have ever seen!! Liz, the owner, doesn't even have the information about students on computers, she writes information on little pieces of paper that she can't keep up with. They were happy to take my money to teach my daughter to drive but when it came to classroom learning, they would turn on YouTube videos and then go outside and talk on the phone. When the video was over, it would roll over to the next video which wasn't always age appropriate and had nothing to do with learning to drive. When it came to actual drive time, you have to call to schedule the drive time and are ALWAYS told they will call you back. They may or may not get you on the schedule, you are at the mercy of whether or not they can find the piece of paper they wrote the note on with your name and phone number. It's been two weeks now and we still haven't received a phone call back. I called again today and was told that when they get her on the schedule, they will call me back. At this point, I don't expect to hear from them again and am filing a complaint with the state. Even the two times my daughter did get drive time, the driver talked to her about inappropriate things and another parent had shown up at the time they were given so their child could drive and no one was there to drive with him. I was in kind of a rush to get my driver's license. I had very little experience driving and to be quite honest, driving in Texas is daunting. I explained my situation to Liz (who runs the school) and she was more than accommodating and we had a bunch of classes lined up. She did warn me that I will have to put in a lot of my own legwork because I was in such a rush. That made sense and I just practiced every single day after that.She told me that she was leaving town and had to schedule a lesson before she left and thankfully, I was able to make it! She made me drive on Wells Branch Parkway and in the neighborhood in Pflugerville and even took me to the DPS to teach me to parallel park. The basic technique that she taught me that day will remain with me all my life. That parallel parking is not a big deal at all is the biggest lesson she gave me. I was not intimidated by it during my test at all. She made me feel like driving itself is a very simple skill to master, even if I thought it was quite scary.Liz is quite awesome! She will learn everything about her students so that she can use their story to motivate them to be a better driver. For example, I have a baby at home and she kept gently reminding me to drive safely so that I can go home safe to my baby. This may not work for everyone, but it sure did motivate me. I wasn't nervous, I just wanted to do better and drive safe so I could go home safe. She is firm with her teachings and very patient. She may come off as a strict teacher but we all need a firm hand when learning to drive on the big bad roads of Texas.I should add that I wasn't able to take all my scheduled classes because Liz had some personal business on her end that she had to take care of, plus I was in a rush to get my license. She was very sweet and issued me a refund for the classes I couldn't take. But whatever Liz taught me, it was good enough for me to pass my behind the wheel test in my first attempt. Pflugerville is a very nice place to find great driver's education! Liz the manager really cares about her students and shows it. She always brings snacks to students and is very patient and attentive when providing drive times unlike other instructors in other schools. They also use an online registration and drive time scheduling system which makes behind the wheel driving easy to coordinate. This place does nor deliver as quoted in the mission statement, the owner does not promptly return customer calls and concerns. We have to leave numerous messages before she finally calls then are only given broken promises. Our son started this program 5 months ago. He's been waiting to drive since December!
