A few standout negatives but overall really positive experience!! Classroom portion was easy and comprehensive. Had many good drive times that I honestly looked foreword too (mostly because it was way less stressful than driving with my parents). Had a couple of drive time instructors that were less than satisfactory. One was break happy, told me in very blunt language the several things that would “get you killed” on the roads (habits that i weren’t practicing, by the way) and mentioned several people that had gotten killed that way. The other was on my practice test and from the moment I stepped in the car she treated me rudely and like i was ignorant. Admonished me for being TOO safe. She would have rather me turned and risked getting hit than forfeit my right of way, which in the real world not everyone follows. Gave me a 72 on my practice test and 2 days later with no additional practice I received a 92 on my final test, quite a discrepancy. My final test experience was wonderful! I purposely scheduled the times where I was told the woman I had for my practice test did not administer as my friends had negative experiences with her as well. My test admin was courteous and fair and gave me solid reasons for every point deduction. Would overall recommend Read Less

One of the worst driving schools I have ever come across. After scheduling my student for his drive time, I took him for his first lesson and he was sent back because he did not have his permit. I am now charged $35.00 for something I was never informed about, student must have permit before scheduling drive times. I called the school to discuss the issue with someone and was told when signing up the student for the driving school the paperwork I signed "should have" all the information on it. Not only did the employee not know for sure, but then the website used to sign up for drive times (schedule2drive) does not have this information listed anywhere at all. You would think instead of giving all this information to kids and expecting them to notify their parents/guardians, the school would directly rely the information, whether in form of a text/email/letter. Being a single parent I signed my child up for this driving school, thinking it would be the most convenient option for me, instead it has been one of the biggest and the most complicated processes I have had to deal with related to driving. I have 2 older son's who went to Sears Driving School in the Parks Mall, all I had to do for them was sign them up and drop them off. Nothing less, nothing more. Not only was it hassle-free, but it was also cheaper then this place. I will not be returning to Mansfield Driving Academy for my 2 remaining children. Read Less

Terrible customer service starting from the front desk all the way to the instructors. Every one has a very bad attitude. I had the opportunity to speak to several students who were unfortunate enough to choose this particular driving school. Most if not all students and parents were dissatisfied. If you HAVE to take the course/test i encourage you to choose Mr. Legler. Mrs. Luther will do whatever it takes to fail someone. Response to the owner. I was never a student at your school. I am a parent of a prospective student but decided to take my business elsewhere due to the apalling customer service from the staff. I then asked other parents and students that were unfortunate enough to have wasted their time and money at your school about their experiences. Most customers do not appreciate feeling attacked by your responses therefore they do not leave a review. I, however, would like parents to know the truth. Read Less

EDIT: Yes, I made an illegal maneuver BECAUSE she had an attitude, acted impatient and then TOLD me to go around the car after saying she was not going to try to trick me or fail me. I waited behind the car and planned to stay there, I would've never went around it, but then I was told to. I didn't understand why she told me to do it but I thought if I didn't listen I'd fail. If only 7% really fail, what percentage failed that same day and specifically with Ms. Luther? I know there aren't many other negative reviews regarding the test but I personally know people who went to this driving school and took Ms. Luther's driving lesson once and decided never to again because of her attitude and bad teaching. I just took a test here yesterday and I was fully aware of what I was doing. I would not be angry if I actually did something wrong. If I made even one of the mistakes I was told I did, I would 100% accept my failure. That said, I'll get into what happened. I was told I didn't make full stops at all of the stop signs. I know for a fact I did. My stops were smooth, not rolling stops, but because I stopped smoothly and did not shake the car, she probably thought I didn't stop all the way. I was also told I made a wide turn which is also an automatic disqualification. Again, if I actually did this I would not be mad about my failure. I could see where my tires were and they did not touch the yellow lines as she said they did. Maybe she couldn't see that because she was sitting in the passenger seat, with the seat really far back and from there it appeared to be a little wide even though I couldn't make a more narrow turn or my tire would've fallen into the ditch. Lastly, I was waiting patiently, stopped behind a car that was trying to change lanes when I was TOLD to go around it, of course I am expected to do as the driving instructor says, who also in the beginning told me she was NOT going to try to trick me or fail me. Later, I was told that it was illegal, which I suspected but every car behind me still did the same and they all had to pass their license test. Overall, this was a horrible experience, as I saw everyone before me also fail. Not sure if the instructor was having a bad day but I could sense a strong attitude from her. This was definitely not worth the 45 dollars. I regret taking the test here and wish I listened to the bad reviews and just took the test elsewhere with an honest instructor. My practices with my previous instructor here always went great even though I was a worse driver then and am now more aware, paying closer attention to the rules. I really do not even want to give them one star. Read Less

My daughter took her driving test here even though she did not take lessons here. We signed up online and were able to get an appointment the following week. The DPS only had appointments in three months time. The location is easy to find and the office staff are friendly and helpful. Ms. Luther did my daughter's road test. She was professional and kind and put my daughter at ease. My daughter did pass her test and Ms. Luther still took time to give her feedback, point out where she could have done better and let her know what she still needed to work on. The entire experience was easy and painless. I would highly recommend this location. It is well worth paying a liitle more and not having to deal with the DPS. Read Less

They only have 2 cars for students to drive. They keep saying one car is in the shop. That is not the customer's problem. We paid the money and are not receiving the services agreed to. The sign up to get a drive time is a like a lottery making it nearly impossible. My son just turned 16 but it will be at least 2-3 months before he can get all his required drive times in and therefore get his license. This place is scamming kids and parents out of money. I would not recommend. It's a joke. Read Less

By the way, I didn't see this until they left, but his cousin was a wife female, and he was a black kid. This kid was probably trying to get his license without his parents knowing.
