Ray was the instructor for the class I attended. I liked how he reviewed the points and went over things quickly and throughly. The class did not feel as long as it was. It was engaging and I liked how he asked questions after each video to keep us awake and active. I also like how the videos were very informative. I did learn new things in the class that I did not previously know, like how for interstate highways the numbers for north nd south are odd while east and west are even. The class also has a section on how to deal with aggressive drivers. I believe this is very important since we live in Houston. :) Thanks for reading. Read Less

I did the online course offered on their Web site and although convenient it had some technical issues. This course took me more than twice the stated time due to problems with videos and pages not loading or glitches in play back requiring me to reload. Before you blame my connection know we have high speed Internet and I regularly stream video and audio from a variety of sources with no problems to the device used for the course. In addition twice I answered questions correctly and received a please click the next button only to find the next button had not loaded, when I refreshed the page I was told I had to watch the video again. Several times I watched the complete video and clicked next but was told I had not been on the page long enough and I ended up having to rerun the entire video before it would allow to move on. Thankfully I had plenty of time to work through these problems. I also noticed my end of course survey review stating the exact same thing doesn't appear with the other surveys from the same day. If you are taking this course why not make it enjoyable? Not my first time with Jim as the instructor and he knows how to make the 6 hour course both entertaining and informative. Although the online course is not really that funny. I truly appreciate the quickness of their service. I finished my course on Monday and received my Certificate on Wednesday without paying anything extra. Its good to know this company unlike some others wont just slack off just because you live in Houston and send you the paperwork just before their deadline. Ray was our instruction and was funny and very witty. He did an amazing job and made a boring class enjoyable. I will go back if I get a ticket-hopefully won't have to. The videos made you swear to never text and drive. Would recommend it . Ray is very funny. Read Less

On the whole, Ray was very good and explained the material well. However, when he wasn't instructing he really wasn't very friendly nor approachable. I don't know whether he was having a bad day, but he seemed like he "phoned it in" in that he was essentially reciting the material with his eyes closed and was on auto-pilot. Aside from a little kidding around with people about their names and why they had to take the class, he wasn't really that funny. Honestly, it felt to me as if he was in need of a vacation and if you're smart you'll let him recharge because he is a very good instructor and taught me things I hadn't known before. Comedy Driving is a great place to complete your defensive driving course. Variety of classes offered to suit any schedule: 2-day classes or one-day, 6-hour class with breaks. I went for the Monday 6-hour class, and was able to get home in time to start my afternoon of piano lessons (half hour away). Dwight, my instructor, covered everything and then some, in an easy to understand manner. He reviewed key points to make sure we would not forget. Brought up some interesting situations and clarified laws both old and new. Class comments, questions, and discussion were welcomed, yet he did a great job keeping us timely and on target. Having to take a 6 hour class because of a careless decision of speeding is frustrating. I mean that is 6 hours wasted that could of been used for other productive task. Although I could of done an online class, I decided to take the class with Comedy Driving because I didn't trust myself with procrastinating. I have to say, it was the best decision I made because I not only received an educational lesson but I got a good laugh out of it. My professor, Dwight, was hilarious and very informational. He was great when it came to reviewing the material for the test at the end. I definitely recommend taking this class if you're in need of a defensive driving class.
