So when I first got to Class A CDL, I was very skeptical, the place looked very run down and the trucks looked old and rugged. But as they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. I walked into the office and the ladies were immediately helpful and very friendly. They handed me all the paperwork that I needed to study (yes the PowerPoint wasn’t the best, but it worked). We did the pre trip class and Roland was awesome. He was very descriptive and told you word for word what you need to tell the DPS in order to pass, he also pointed everything and told us to make notes on the PowerPoint of the items that weren’t there, which were quite a few, so I recommend taking detailed notes. I was only able to do one drive time with Roland, but he was very helpfully and encouraging. Upon my test day yesterday, Tommy got there an hour early and sat with me answering any last minute questions that I’d had. He was very polite and very honest. I passed on the first try, and it’s because of them. They give you the tools you need, it’s up to you in order to study and make the most of it. As long as you take notes and say what they tell you to say, you will pass. I’d definitely recommend them to someone else in the future.

If you sign up for there services ask for a written contract with there rules and regulations, if they tell you the receipt is there contract do not sign it that is false and they can and will drop you at any moment if you make the rude owner Tommy angry at any point all the false reviews of good ratings have all been lies, been going since August and have witnessed and experienced the rudeness of the owner Tommy. There's a reason this site has alot of 1 star reviews be smart and ask for a written contract of there rules and regulations I can not stress that enough and hope that you do not get screwed over as I have for 650$ down the drain.

I passed the test the first try! If you will go to the classes, open your mind to the fact that you do not know everything,(even if you have a 100 years exp.), Pay attention to what is being said and do as you are instructed you will get the knowledge and skills that you need from this place. I would recommend it to anyone that has an honest intention of obtaining their licenses or even just endorsements. The people here are friendly and knowledgeable and will provide you with the tools that you need to pass the very first time. But they are no means a baby sitting service, they are there to help people who want to succeed and they do a great job of it.

Pretty much like all the other reviews. I got along with the lady inside, but Tommy is very rude! The other instructor did do a very thourgh class of pre-trip inspections, but that's about all I learned there. (We own a mobile repair service, so I knew all the parts, god help someone that doesn't know anything!) I got to drive once in the 4 or so weeks I took the class. When I went to take my test, I passed the pre-trip and air brakes no problem (because they do that twice a week in the class) but when it came to the skills test I failed! I actually had to rent a truck from another company (AAA CDL) in order to take the test again because class A didn't have a truck available for the date my second test was scheduled. If I would've waited for them to have a truck available, my CLP would've been expired. So I had to take the next available test date and rent a truck. Basically I wasted my money here, and then turned around and spent the same amount to rent a truck elsewhere. I do have to say the instructor from AAA CDL that brought my rental to the DPS (David) was awesome. Very nice and encouraging. Didn't make me feel like a stupid p.o.s. like they did at class A.

By far the worst place out there. GO ELSEWHERE AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They don't have near enough trucks or man power to teach the amount of people they sign up. Lucky to get 45 minutes of driving a week. When you do get to drive, the "instructor" is on his phone texting and talking the entire time. They expect you to know how to drive and get mad at you when you mess up. They literally just want your money and don't give a damn if you pass your test or not. The study sheets they give you are way outdated. I can not stress enough how bad this place is.

You don't yell at a paying customer! Very abruptly went "bye" and hung up. This is what prompted me to review. Prior to this call, my husband had a few bad experiences in a new and unfamiliar rig where the trainer decided to yell at him. Is that how your treat customers?... I've skimmed the other comments and have read about their 26 years of business. That number doesn't speak to the quality of service being given. I would take any positive comments with a grain of salt, maybe they're friends, maybe they paid more but all it sounds like is a money hungry couple who maybe struggling financially or with their marriage taking it out on their customers. I have dealt in customer service as has my husband, we don't believe the customer is always right but certainly no customer deserves to be yelled at. See More

I could hear the owner yelling at my husband through the phone that he gave the wrong time even though he calmly and clearly said the time that was emailed to him. You don't yell at a paying customer! Very abruptly went "bye" and hung up.
This is what prompted me to review.
Prior to this call, my husband had a few bad experiences in a new and unfamiliar rig where the trainer decided to yell at him. Is that how your treat customers?
I've skimmed the other comments and have read about their 26 years of business. That number doesn't speak to the quality of service being given. I would take any positive comments with a grain of salt, maybe they're friends, maybe they paid more but all it sounds like is a money hungry couple who maybe struggling financially or with their marriage taking it out on their customers.
I have dealt in customer service as has my husband, we don't believe the customer is always right but certainly no customer deserves to be yelled at.

Don't think they are just messing with you about coming to the Pre-trip sessions, you will need them to pass, also TAKE NOTES or you will not pass. Lastly study chapter 11 in the TX CDL Handbook. I did all these and took Tommy's advice and passed first time easily. Listen to Tommy and you will pass. Go your own way and fail. Do it as he says. You gotta put in the studying to pass, they don't give those licenses away.

Customer service needs serious improvement. The owner is a total jerk. If I were him, I would be grateful that someone chose his company to give their business to. The supply does not meet the demand....
Customer service needs serious improvement. The owner is a total jerk. If I were him, I would be grateful that someone chose his company to give their business to. The supply does not meet the demand. Meaning that there are too many students/customers and not enough trucks to allow for proper practice time. The questions and answers they give you are 30% accurate to the ones at the DPS. With all the money they charge, you would think that they would invest I'm cleaning and washing the trucks. Don't go there! There are plenty of other places to choose from.

WORST COMPANY EVER! No way they received 5 stars! Look at yelp and google all horrible reviews. They just want your money. The owner is rude and smug. You sign a contract which doesn't mean a damn thing in the end! Overheard the company is going into the ground which explains why he didn't reschedule the test until he got another 475. Which he demanded! The contract clearly states 180 days you have to pass. "Try as many times as needed" they said but after 3 decided that was to many. They schedule your tests months apart to try and get past the 180 days. Taught nothing useful. Why is this company still even opened?!?! There are WAAAYYY better companies around. Leave this company to drown itself. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. This owner is a THIEF. He will rob you!!!!

I wouldn't go to this school even if it was free.

If your like me hold a full time job with limited available time and your only available time to practice driving is saturdays and you need to just get it over with than this is the place all other cdl driving school companies wount even open to practice on saturdays.I'm gonna make it simple pay the money get your airbrake test sheet memorize it by your driving test date. When you wana practice driving just email the the email link given on their website the lady's name is Debra I never actually met her but she was very helpful. THIS NEXT PART IS VERY IMPORTANT SO PAY ATTENTION. When requesting time to practice driving make sure you email Debra and request to practice with Roland and only with Roland if he's not available than reschedule for when he becomes available. Listen to everything he tells you and you will pass with ease.Good luck!

Horrible attitude and yelled the whole time as I was driving. Plus I was only given 20 min of driving time practice. Was promised more but like previous post said, they were always busy. I paid $400!!!And yup, showed up late to my DPS appointment!!! They just take advantage of people. Por favor no toman sus clase para su CDL aqui!!! Muy mal negocio y grito en ves de ayudar me a manejar. No me enseno nada. Y cobra muncho $400. Ay ortos lugares que no mas son 300 para todo. Buscan otro lado!! Don't waste your time with this company. They are very friendly and make it sound like you will receive A+++ service, however once they swipe your credit card the attitude changes. You are given very poor information with LOTS of holes in the information, plus a VERY rude attitude and a belittling of you for not knowing how to drive the trucks. I thought maybe it was just me they had an issue with, but on the day of the drive at the DMV while meeting with several others who were also enrolled in the class I soon discovered that we ALL had the same experience and got the same attitude once we paid. Also, the "drive all you want till your ready" statement.... Yeah right, they are in such a hurry to push you through that even if you tell them you don't feel ready, they say well your good enough and force you to take the driving exam. I would strongly suggest spending your money elsewhere and study the DMV's CDL booklet well because that is the only real way you are going to pass the exam as the booklets this company gives out with the information only cover about 1/4 of the info you need to pass the exam. You will feel cheated and not nearly ready or safe to be on the road going with this company.

The trucks may be older, but they run good, It not the age, but the condition you keep them in. To the whiners & complainer if you want to go 1st class & pay thousands of dollars go to Houston Community College!!!

So when I first got to Class A CDL, I was very skeptical, the place looked very run down and the trucks looked old and rugged. But as they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. I walked into the office and the ladies were immediately helpful and very friendly. They handed me all the paperwork that I needed to study (yes the PowerPoint wasn’t the best, but it worked). We did the pre trip class and Roland was awesome. He was very descriptive and told you word for word what you need to tell the DPS in order to pass, he also pointed everything and told us to make notes on the PowerPoint of the items that weren’t there, which were quite a few, so I recommend taking detailed notes. I was only able to do one drive time with Roland, but he was very helpfully and encouraging. Upon my test day yesterday, Tommy got there an hour early and sat with me answering any last minute questions that I’d had. He was very polite and very honest. Pretty much like all the other reviews. I got along with the lady inside, but Tommy is very rude! WORST COMPANY EVER! No way they received 5 stars! Look at yelp and google all horrible reviews. They just want your money. The owner is rude and smug. You sign a contract which doesn't mean a damn thing in the end! Overheard the company is going into the ground which explains why he didn't reschedule the test until he got another 475. Which he demanded! The contract clearly states 180 days you have to pass. "Try as many times as needed" they said but after 3 decided that was to many. They schedule your tests months apart to try and get past the 180 days. Taught nothing useful. Why is this company still even opened?!?! There are WAAAYYY better companies around. Leave this company to drown itself. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. This owner is a THIEF. He will rob you!!!!

I did not attend this class. But I called to see what it was about because I'm trying to get my CDL. I have to say the gentleman that I spoke with has to be one of the rudest non caring people I have ever spoke with. he could not have cared less that he was off the phone with me. I wouldn't go to this school even if it was free.

If your like me hold a full time job with limited available time and your only available time to practice driving is saturdays and you need to just get it over with than this is the place all other cdl driving school companies wount even open to practice on saturdays.I'm gonna make it simple pay the money get your airbrake test sheet memorize it by your driving test date. When you wana practice driving just email the the email link given on their website the lady's name is Debra I never actually met her but she was very helpful. THIS NEXT PART IS VERY IMPORTANT SO PAY ATTENTION. When requesting time to practice driving make sure you email Debra and request to practice with Roland and only with Roland if he's not available than reschedule for when he becomes available. Listen to everything he tells you and you will pass with ease.Good luck!

Stay away!!! Horrible customer service. Actually no service at all. Should've read previous post before giving them my money. They just show you a video and don't teach you anything. Horrible attitude and yelled the whole time as I was driving. Plus I was only given 20 min of driving time practice. Was promised more but like previous post said, they were always busy. I paid $400!!!And yup, showed up late to my DPS appointment!!! They just take advantage of people. Por favor no toman sus clase para su CDL aqui!!! Muy mal negocio y grito en ves de ayudar me a manejar. No me enseno nada. Y cobra muncho $400. Ay ortos lugares que no mas son 300 para todo. Buscan otro lado!! Y tambien llego tarde a me sita para manejar. Horrible!!!

Horrible instructors! Said the service was unlimited hrs but thats a fat lie. They're always "busy" according to them! And to top it off the instructor got to my dps appointment late!

Don't waste your time with this company. They are very friendly and make it sound like you will receive A+++ service, however once they swipe your credit card the attitude changes. You are given very poor information with LOTS of holes in the information, plus a VERY rude attitude and a belittling of you for not knowing how to drive the trucks. I thought maybe it was just me they had an issue with, but on the day of the drive at the DMV while meeting with several others who were also enrolled in the class I soon discovered that we ALL had the same experience and got the same attitude once we paid. Also, the "drive all you want till your ready" statement.... Yeah right, they are in such a hurry to push you through that even if you tell them you don't feel ready, they say well your good enough and force you to take the driving exam. I would strongly suggest spending your money elsewhere and study the DMV's CDL booklet well because that is the only real way you are going to pass the exam as the booklets this company gives out with the information only cover about 1/4 of the info you need to pass the exam. You will feel cheated and not nearly ready or safe to be on the road going with this company.

The trucks may be older, but they run good, It not the age, but the condition you keep them in. To the whiners & complainer if you want to go 1st class & pay thousands of dollars go to Houston Community College!!!
