VERY POOR SERVICE. Bought their Test Course and 6 hours of driving. First warning was when they could not schedule the driving lessons with the same person... did not show up for first lesson and was late for 2 out of 3 times. On last lesson and just prior to my wife taking the driving test, the instructor realized he didn't have the proof of insurance in the car and spent the lesson racing to get it. My wife was a wreck and failed the test. When I complained about the poor service, the south side manager called and promised she would make it right... but failed to show up when the next driving test was scheduled. Save your money or find another school. Read Less

I joined the driving school in August. I had an overseas driving experience but not in US. So, when i joined the class i was fearful and new to the driving rules. My instructor Mr. Don was very nice and friendly. He was very patient, helpful and never got irritated nor yelled at me. I had very nice driving experience with him. He never let me feel that i was new in driving. He taught me all aspects of driving like backing, turning, lane change etc. I will try to do it on my own car after i complete my lessons and if i feel taking more classes i will do it with Mr.Don. So i recommend everyone who wants a nice helpful and accommodating instructor go for Mr. Don. (Apex drivind School, Sharpstown) Read Less

I took a chance on Apex Driving School and left a message to find out about adult driving lessons. I received a call back a few days later (I thought they had forgotten me) and decided to sign up because the instructor (Mr. Garcia) was SO personable and friendly. Well this was no front, Mr. Garcia was (and still is - I'm still a student) an AWESOME instructor. I know so much more than I could have ever imagined about driving, streets, roads, highways, driving etiquette/awareness, accident avoidance...YOU NAME IT! I covered everything in detail (parallel parking, u-turns, turning, backing up, parking, lane changes, stopping smoothly, etc.) and I will be learning freeway driving during my next lesson. He put me at ease while driving and NEVER treated me badly or yelled at me. I can't speak for any of the other staff at Apex, but Mr. Garcia is the BEST! He is very accommodating and helpful, and he did his job with a genuine smile on his face. If you want to learn how to drive correctly, safely, and efficiently, he's the instructor to ask for. I feel that I am very prepared for my DPS driving examination. Read Less

This driving school is just meant to mint money on the behind the wheel training. They have a package of 3 sessions each of 2 hours. Assume that you are new to driving, the 1st day they will be nice and friendly and then make you feel like you have achieved something. They will teach you how to turn on 1st day. 2nd and 3rd day they will just demoralize you, find your mistakes and the session will never end beyond learning to make a turn. Never during this package you will get to learn reversing, parellel parking, etc which is essential before you go for a test. Even if you extend you training to some more sessions, that wil be of no help. Its better if you find friend or someone who can teach driving, rather than throwing money on training schools. The prices are great and they are patient and friendly. In addition to being very nice they pick-up their adult students and that was very difficult to find in houston.
