Did not enroll as a student, just signed my child up to take the road test. SO glad that they offer this service. DPS is a disaster, but Vista Ridge made the road test portion of getting a driver's license simple and convenient. Online signup, on-time appointment, quick and easy. They were also really friendly and helpful, and took a few minutes to explain the process. Now, if we could only convince the DPS to follow their model of customer service... sigh. Read Less

I told myself before I took the road test at this location, I would leave a review rating their service. I just recently finished the test and I would give the experience 4 stars out of 5. The location was small. The waiting room is small and has 7 seats, which was not enough for everyone who was waiting. They had a small room for the receptionists. I'm guessing they had one room for teaching kids down the hall, along with one unisex restroom. The staff acted professional and I think each person was well suited for their position. The desk staff was friendly, kind, and welcoming. The driving instructor didn't get any emotions or bias into their scoring. The main reason for my deduction of points is the wait. I had to wait about 50 minutes after my appointed schedule time to take my road test. If it was 10-20 minutes, that would be a bit more understanding, but 50 minutes sounds a bit much! To add a bit to it, there was only one person ahead of me waiting. I don't blame them too much for the wait though because it's not entirely in their control. It partially depends on the drivers being tested. My test took about 13 to 15 minutes, starting from when I left the building to when I walked back in. Their rating on my driving seemed fair. Everything my instructor told me, I understood and agreed with. They definitely take an emphasis on safety, which is a bonus because I can do these small fixes to further perfect my driving. Overall, I would say this is a good location to go to for completing your road test. It's quite open for appointments. Just make sure you ask how long the wait is and bring something to entertain yourself with, in case there is a wait! Read Less

I had great experience with vista ridge. I had Jana as my teacher and Roger for almost all of my drive times. Jana is a really great teacher and shows a lot of helpful videos. Roger was really helpful and taught me a lot on my drive times. After finishing all the drive times and classes I felt totally comfortable behind the wheel. The teacher never addressed her self. All I can say is that she is very appalling. This lady walks in the room about 15 minutes after class has started. She just makes you get clipboards, old chewed up pencils w/o erasers, and the Texas drivers ed book( which most of them don't have the cover). You usually get 5 sheets of paper to do. Which is quite difficult to do when you don't have a desk. All you have is the chair you are sitting on. And this lady will keep nagging that you mustn't lean on your chair because they will break and we are going to pay for it. After that she leaves the "class room" and goes to her office and chats away with this older man that word there, and another female. I would never recommend anyone to attend this drivers ed course. The whole staff has been wonderful! My student was really reluctant to drive at first, but they really came through with helping him and easing any tension. Well worth the $399 we paid. They do stress practice and safety. I've had 3 kids come through this school and this child has been tough one (mainly scared to drive). All of Flower Mound and surrounding areas should be coming here. I will definitely recommend to others in the community! Read Less
