Truck Driver Institute is a full service Class A Commercial Drivers License school operating 12 campuses in 8 states. TDI provides classroom, driving range and road instruction, CDL examination (where allowed) and full time job placement services. We train men, women, couples and teams in all the skills they need to drive big rigs and get employed by one of the twenty plus national trucking companies with which we work.

I was a NC student. This was a 5 hour drive for me, but let me tell you it was well worth it. They provide lodging so don't worry. The instructors are very easy to work with. I should have done this a long time ago. Highly recommended School from me.

Upon coming to TDI, I knew absolutely nothing about trucks or the trucking industry. I have now successfully completed the course and am fully confident that I will do great in my future endeavors, thanks to the highly qualified instructors that took their time to show/teach me the ins and outs of the trucking industry. I just got done with T.D.I. and I disagree with the other comment on this page. They teach you everything you need to know to obtain your permit and they spend time with each driver when it came to the range. When it came to the on the road portion,they helped very much on any part that the student didn't get. The war stories only were done when class was boiling down for the day and their happen to be veterans in the class. The only yelling that took place was when an indiv...idual did not listen to the instructor and was about to damage property or cause harm to their own selves. No one can fix stupid but yelling can help. It's a great school for anyone wanting to get into the industry . But ,don't be one of the ppl that come to the school thinking they will just hand it to you Cuz you paid. You have to study and actually try... it's alot in just 3 weeks. See More

I didn't go there myself but I heard it was very unprofessional. All the teacher did was cuss and tell war stories. If people are paying that much to be educated they ought to get quality instead they're cussed at all day and even sexual references made in the classroom with women in there. Very very unprofessional. This industry does not need places like this. Theirs more but this should be enough to get someone's attention.

I just got done with T.D.I. and I disagree with the other comment on this page. They teach you everything you need to know to obtain your permit and they spend time with each driver when it came to the range. I didn't go there myself but I heard it was very unprofessional. All the teacher did was cuss and tell war stories. If people are paying that much to be educated they ought to get quality instead they're cussed at all day and even sexual references made in the classroom with women in there. Very very unprofessional. This industry does not need places like this. Theirs more but this should be enough to get someone's attention.
