Great experience! The instructors are always helpful; if you don't understand something, they will correct you and make you repeat it until you are confident in your ability to complete that part of the road test. I especially enjoyed my last drive. My instructor, Mr. Charles Carter, not only made sure I knew how to do everything, but he also made the drive fun with his positive attitude. I must say, this is an absolutely wonderful school. The driving instructors are incredible. They sit next to you and chat with you like you are a friend, and this makes you feel very very relaxed when driving - it's very important to feel comfortable when driving. What you practice is what you get on the road test, so there really are no surprises. I really enjoyed these few sessions and would definitely recommend this school to anyone seeking driving lessons. Had a good experience for my daughter.  She just obtained her license.  I purchased the five lessons with the one day class. I also had her do the test at the school which cost a fee as well. She had two different instructors which worked fine. They were both great.  They were tough but that is necessary.  This is a life or death situation if it doesn't work out.  She drove for me every where we went. You can't expect a few driving lessons to be all a new driver needs. It is about experience.  I would definitely recommend them. Will use for the next teenager as well. Read Less

Sent my son there a year ago, Terrible experience here. Different instructor each time, different car each time, tons of paperwork and they don't pick up or drop off at your house like their competition. Of the four he drove with, only one was a great instructor capable of turning off "police mode" and deal with him like an instructor. My daughter just completed an eight hour class & three two hour driving sessions at this school located in Brickyard Plantation Strip Mall. I registered her on line & paid the fee. Expensive for sure but I feel like she acquired a great foundation & was able to practice the skills taught in the eight hour class. This school is run by police officers who were extremely professional courteous and interested in her achieving the utmost in training, safety and education while here. She feels like she really benefited from the class.  It's busy for sure, but all of the sessions can be booked on line and then they email with cancellation vacancies for the two hour drives which works out very well. She has the option of taking her test with them ($60.00) or taking it at DMV. Her choice. Prior to and after each session, the parent/guardian must meet with the instructor to go over the plan & discuss issues/concerns with the instructor. Personally I feel like it was a very positive informative experience & would highly recommend for the young teen driver. You should check it out. Read Less

Disappointed. My experience makes me feel like their greater concern is NOT the student, but their pockets.I live in North Charleston, so I was looking to enroll my daughter into the Goose Creek school. I called one Tuesday to get some information and was automatically transferred to the Mt P school because the GC school isn't open on Tuesdays. I spoke to a very nice lady who answered my questions and mentioned the next Goose Creek classroom day was August 8th. She also mentioned how she wasn't sure if that location would have any other classes scheduled after that one because typically things slow down. Once my daughter passed her knowledge test, I logged onto their website and signed her up for the Goose Creek August 8th class. On Monday August 3rd I received a voicemail from the Mt Pleasant school that the Goose Creek location would be unexpectedly closing down so I could either transfer my daughter to the Mt P school, or get a refund. If I transferred her, I would have to pay an additional $80 because the Mt Pleasant school charges more. I called back and explained how I live in N Charleston, so already to transfer would cost me more (gas money back & forth to Mt P), and wanted to know if they'd be willing to honor the Goose Creek price, especially considering the GC sign up was available just the week prior. The woman I spoke with said she'd see the owner later and would speak with him. She called me back Tuesday to let me know that no, he was not willing to honor that price. I opted for a refund and will enroll her in Lord Ashley (I received 3 personal recommendations for LA after this hiccup). I'm disappointed that 911 Driving School wasn't willing to work with me when I did everything right, paid in full and it would cost me more regardless to switch locations. Zero interest in working with customers clearly indicates to me the owner only cares about the bottom dollar. Darn shame. They earned 1 star because although the owner deserves zero stars in my book, the woman from the Mt Pleasant school was always super kind, and very helpful. She was wonderful and I hope they treat her well! Read Less

Recently I enrolled my son for the driving class to prepare him for his DMV road test. From the initial phone call to the last scheduled driving session, I could not have been happier with the service that I recieved from 911 Driving School, Mt. Pleasant. The office manager was informative and very easy to work with. The police officers who work with these kids were great, even the eight hour class was made intresting. It helps with this important time in a young adults life to know that they are being taught by people who are truely concerened with their well being.
