A buddy and I were fortunate enough to catch the special deal a couple years ago for the Iowa Speedway. I've been a gearhead all my life but never had a budget for real racing. Driving up to the infield gate, we both signed in as "Driver". Fist bump. Then we drove in and saw the paddock with the Cup cars prepped and gleaming in the morning sun. Fist bump. Around the other side of the paddock were the Formula cars. Fist bump. Then we got driver lanyards. Fist bump. The drivers... meeting was largely unnecessary for us, but no big deal. Finally we went outside, picked fire suits, suited up, and fist bumped. They asked who was together so groups could race together. We ended up being the last two on the track, just me and my buddy tearing it up. I couldn't tell if I was in first or second gear but it was irrelevant. We went fast enough. It was loud and violent and incredibly fun. I got the video too but my camera had a smudge right in the center of the lens, so make sure to ask them to clean it before you race because you can't go back out just for a re-shoot haha. Still the video was epic, and totally worth it. Loved the experience and we will both be back whenever we can. See more

They have no way to adjust the cars for people of different heights. At 5'11" I don't consider myself short but I couldn't reach the pedals and their solution was to stuff a rolled up driving suit beh...
They have no way to adjust the cars for people of different heights. At 5'11" I don't consider myself short but I couldn't reach the pedals and their solution was to stuff a rolled up driving suit behind me.

I had the privilege to do 12 laps at The Milwaukee Mile Sunday, July 10th. 12 laps, you ask? During the 45minute drivers school, they stressed if anything didn't 'feel right', to pull into the pits. I did that after 2 laps because my seatbelts weren't tight enough, one strap rolled over my shoulder & down my arm. They tightened me up & sent me back out. I wish I would've payed extra for the GoPro video of my run. I made at least 5 passes, and I was only on track with 2 other cars. I owe a Big 'Thank You', to my driver coach, who helped be the voice in my ears over the radio. And a Huge 'Thank You' to my Brother, Joe, for bringing his daughter, to record my experience and cheer me on with my Mom, and Dad. Overall, I give TheFormulaExperience Two Thumbs Up & a High Five.

I was really, really excited about doing this. All well and good until they cancel your plans at the last minute, and stop visiting the only track with a couple hundred miles of your location. This was a Father's Day gift for me, which ended up costing a few hundred dollars for something I cannot use, and because it was purchased through another site, they stated no refund is possible. They can point to the fine print on the Groupon/Living Social thing for the large wasted e...xpense, but I still never received my refund for the photo/video package I purchased during booking. I would never recommend this company. See more

Fantastic experience.... Loved every minute. Just a taste of getting up to speed on a straightaway then breaking down to 15 mph in second gear for hair pin.... I would do it again....
