I'm not sure who was driving but it definitely was not a student...an older gentleman with a beard. I was driving home from work and this guy who had Norm's School of Driving plastered all over the vehicle cut me off on Jacksonville Road and failed to use his turn signal when changing lanes. I would not use this service to pass any drivers test. Very unsafe and considerably inconsiderate to other drivers on the road. Why aren't you teaching the safe and responsible way to drive? My lessons with Ryan were informative and foolproof. He was very professional and taught me all the correct techniques I need to know for the road. His technique for parallel parking was both easy to learn and very effective. By the end of the first lesson I was positive I had made the right decision going to Norm's driving school. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Ryan at Norm's driving school to others. Read Less

Disappointing and aggravatingI taught my daughter to drive and spent a lot of time driving with her. However, I needed someone else to teach her how to parallel park. Also, I hoped a driving instructor would be better able to prepare her for the driving test. Three people we knew had used Norm and no problems had been reported. The first two lessons went OK. We set up times by phone and he picked my daughter up when he said he would and dropped her off again two hours later. He did teach her to parallel park. That's all I can say he did for sure. From there it went downhill. He always has another driver in the car and once my daughter had to drive someone home all the way to Northeast Philly, past the boulevard. She was 1 1/2 hours late coming back!At that same lesson, a mom saw him at the Huntingdon Valley site and asked if he could give her son some time because he was about to take his test again. He was a former Norm student. Norm said he could give her 10 minutes. So my daughter, who had been driving, had to turn the car over to this kid who proceed to ignore all of Norm's advice and later flunked his test again anyway. I was really irritated about this incident but at this point I felt like I was stuck with this guy.Her test was in 2 1/2 weeks. Her test was scheduled for Dublin. At her very first lesson he said he didn't want her to take the test at Dublin because it was a harder test and so many people failed.  Frankly, I think he prefers HV because it is convenient for him. He only took her to the Dublin test site once, because he kept saying he was going to change the test to Huntingdon Valley. So, he had her practicing at Huntingdon Valley. We had already agreed he would take her to her test so I was reluctant to re-schedule it myself for fear I would choose a time he could not be there. He said he would schedule the test himself. Ha! If I had only known what I know now. Scheduling is a joke with Norm. How does scheduling work with Norm? He writes each student on an index card and "files" them in his car's visor. Despite his assurances that he knew my daughter's test date and was prepared to have her take the test in his car (our cars are both big) I never felt secure. So I called to check in with him. I'd say my name and my daughter's name and her test date and ask if we were we on the schedule for him to take her for the test? Oh yeah, yeah yeah, he'd say. Never gave me any details. I called 3 separate times in the weeks leading up to the test. Then two days before, I asked what was the plan? When would he take her out if the test was at 1:30? Would he want her early in the am or just before the test? He tells me he lost my daughter's card. He asks me when her test is and where. I give him all her information. He tells me everything is OK and he is going to MOVE HER TEST TO HUNTINGDON VALLEY. And stupidly, I believe him.The next day I expect to hear from him. No call. Instead he calls my daughter on her cell phone. (I guess he found her card because I did not give him that number). He tells her he will call the morning of the test at 11 - 11:30. We assume that means he will come and pick up at least by noon and go to her test.DAY OF THE TEST 11 am No call. I call him. He asks us to meet him at Huntingdon Valley. I remind him the test is at Dublin. He says he knows . It's OK he says I'm going to take her up. We get to HV and he has another student with him and he's 4th in line to take the test! It will be an hour at least! He tells us "Bob" is going to take her to Dublin for her test! Bob! Who's Bob? So again we are stuck. We drive straight to Dublin. We get to Dublin at 1:11. Her test is at 1:30 so no time for Bob to go over the test route with her. No time for her to practice the course. All Bob did was have her parallel park 3 times. What am I paying them for today? Just to borrow the car? So end of story, she failed. Missed a "Stop here" sign by about a couple inches per her estimate.I called Norm to tell him how very disappointed I was. And angry. I felt he let my daughter down. I said I have been calling you for weeks and we show up and you have another student scheduled for the same time as her test? At another test site? How could you do that? He said he was sorry. He said he would "rip up the check". Since he has let us down so much I am doubtful of this. When I think about how much money I wasted. And what do we do now?       I wanted her to take the test in a driving school car. Read Less
