I failed my fisrt attempt at the driver's test and the DMV. I failed the parallel parking. I found this driving school online. I paid $25 to have a parallel parking lesson with Terry. The lesson was great and I was finally able to parallel park. I decided to take the driver's test there too, for $75. I was very relaxed and confident. I passed. Great experience with both lessons and taking the test. Andy was a fantastic teacher, really down to earth and taught me fantastically in a way easy to understand. Lyn was my examiner and made sure I felt comfortable while taking the test and helped to ease my nerves. We had a great experience in Exton location. The tester was patient. My son forgot his permit at home and the staff waited for about an hour after their closing time. I can't thank Defensive Driving Academy in Newtown square PA enough, I signed up for 6 hour course with Amanda. Im 42 and had almost given up on trying to get my license, but after my first lesson with Amanda who reassured me that it was possible i knew i had a chance. She gave me great tips that i incorporate in my everyday driving, she's the sweetest & such a great teacher... I took my driving test today and my coach was Brenda, she took me out on the roads before my test made which me feel more confident, she taught me a super easy technique in how to parallel park. My daughter went here yesterday and took the express parallel parking course and also tested the same day. Lynn was the VERY NICE lady who did the EPP course with her and also took her on her street test and she was absolutely the nicest person ever! She put my daughters nerves at ease just by being so calm and friendly. The whole office was extremely friendly. All the employees that I came in contact with greeted me with a hello and a smile. Taking driving lessons here is 110% worth it! It lowered my insurance rate and it taught me everything I need to be a safe driver. I paid for 3 two hour lessons out of my own pocket and I don't regret it at all. My coaches were extremely helpful and I definitely recommend using this place. It seems pricey but it's going to save you money in the long run and it will help you learn how to avoid accidents. My driving coaches were Brian, Anthony and Sandy (I'm not sure if that was her name but I think she had red hair and she was very nice!! My son Jake had Ashley Lawler as his instructor. She was calm and professional. She taught him everything he needed to pass his test on the first try. My daughter took the express parallel parking lesson (I'm sorry I can't recall the very nice lady's name) and was road tested here. The parallel parking lesson was great, gave her some excellent tips. Being able to practice right at the testing site helped a lot. Her tester John was so nice and friendly, it helped her with the nerves quite a bit. After two unsuccessful attempts at the DMV, she passed! Very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend. Pickup was 30 minutes late, and testers were strict/take points off undeservingly. Got points off for 'sudden braking/accelerating' even though I've been driving almost everyday in Malaysia for 2 years. Also there was a red light turn that the instructor told me to wait till it was red before turning, however the tester took points off because I waited till it was red.Huge waste of money and time. My husband and I were referred to DDA by family and friends and we could not have been happier! Teaching triplets to drive was an extremely daunting task but not with the experts at this fine institution. The driving teachers were professional and timely, giving all three of our girls an excellent experience on side roads, highways and with parallel parking. The driving test was scheduled by the staff in Broomall (NEW TESTING SITE) so no waking up at wee hours of the morning to schedule a test date in Frazer six months in advance or driving to Penn State to take a test at a more convenient time. I had lessons from DDA was I was trying to get my license at age 27. I was very nervous and anxious about it, and I wouldn't say the lessons were a fun experience, but after 3 regular lessons (plus a parallel parking lesson) and some practice, I passed my exam on the first try. Read Less

The "award winning customer service" is not true. They "don't play phone tag" which just means they take two to three days to respond to a request. I was under the impression that they serviced all of philadelphia, which they do not.I asked for a refund like 12 days ago which I am still waiting for and I think that is ridiculous considering  how fast they snatch the money out of your account.Overall I was not impressed and will going with Confident driving school. Now here it is 15 days later and they JUST processed my refund on 10/28. I paid for the class on 10/05. This school is a rip and I found a much cheaper school charging only 70 dollars for a 2 hour lesson and they actually answer their phone.Google Safe driving school in Philly.
