My experience with Roadmaster regarding the scam: First I called Roadmaster in August than checked three other driver schools or companies before I have chosen Roadmaster. All of those have their own policies: if you take their course but don’t drive a significant length of time, you will owe the full cost of your training and hotel plus the interest. That was never lower than 9K. Roadmaster even has a refund policy, during the first five days of your training you can walk away and you get a full refund. People making a comment before shearing they ended up with 10 K in depth may speak English but surly they don’t understand it. My Roadmaster “scam” experience in numbers. The 7K tuition for student who finance themselves is 2K less, if they choose one of Roadmaster’s partner companies. … There was some misunderstanding during my admission to the school and I was charged $5054. Later, when I told them I have chosen my company already which is not a partner company and I would rather pay the 2K extra than break my words, Roadmaster told me not to pay the extra. Roadmaster’s policy: “If you fail, we fail. If you pass, we pass. We are gona train you as long as we see you are making progress”. These are not just nice words written on the wall, this is how they operate. About the exam. Actually, there are some mistakes which are easy to avoid but still easy to “commit” under pressure. This is how I had passed the third times meanwhile my final score was 94 %. Roadmaster has it’s own policy about required training when you fail an exam. I got 31 days training, much more than they promised and they let me take the exam 3 times, without the extra charge of even a penny. Whether this is a scam I would let everybody make his/her own judgment. Being at Roadmaster was a hard time of my life but it is something what it is gonna be great to remember for. Last day after my exam I was really happy, but as I was walking tough the yard and saw the tractor trailers maneuvering, making offset and 90 degree backup, I felt bad knowing, I am not the part of it anymore. I was nervous to be behind that steering wheel, inside of those enormous vehicles, and when I'd have troubles, the instructor was ALWAYS there. When I'd doubt myself, they'd walk me through one and make me do the next one on my own, prove that I knew what I was doing. It's intimidating, a girl like me entering a man's world, but they made it not so bad. They taught me to drive the trailer, not the truck, and I am actually more comfortable than I thought I could ever be, since that first straight line backing. I would tell to everybody my expirience with Roadmasters. I came with DL and had little bit expirience with Trucks. I took just 4 hours training all together for CDL and right now I have it. What I want say to everybody... if you want your CDL, go to Roadmasters! I leave 90 Miles away but I would say thanks to Rick (Manager for Drivig School for your Appointments), and Oscar! This is a greatest guy for Driving and exam which you can find! He is not just examinar! He is a guy who understand you and speak with you how you have to drive the truck anyway! Roadmaster is a great school and I am Truly thankful that I was able to attend this location and receive my CDL in 4weeks! Thank you to ALL the instructors, (Tim, Kelly, Ken, Neal, Ike, Will, Oscar, John, and also the office staff John and Dusty) THANK YOU ALL for helping me learn the skills needed to get my cdl. I would also like to thank my recruiter Terry D she was great! I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested obtaining their CDL. If you are having trouble with the standard truck you can train on an automatic truck. The best part about this location is that you take your cdl test right at the site so you don't have to go to the dmv. It was amazing to see the instructors get so excited to see each student pass their test some even got teary-eyed lol ;) thanks again Roadmaster I look foward to coming back in a couple of yrs to talk to students about my experience!!!Read Less
