I would highly recommend Advance Driving School. My daughter had 3, 2 hour lessons with Alan and that more than prepared her for her driving exam. He taught her how to parallel park, merge onto a highway and even took her to area where the she would be taking her driving test. She took the exam using his car and she passed! I am so pleased with Advanced driving school. I called two days before my grandsons road test. We were able to get a driving lesson for the day before and the day of. I needed to learn stick shift for a job opportunity. I contacted Advance several times. First it was $240 for 2 hours, then they were willing to work with me for $130 for 2 hours instead. After a week, due to finances I contacted to schedule my lesson and was told the"special" was not offered any longer. I followed up with a reply stating that I felt that was really a poor way to conduct business at which point I received a response apologizing for not sitting behind a desk all day waiting for emails. Very unprofessional, very unhelpful, absolutely would not recommend. If this is the way they treat customers before the lesson, they are definitely not people I need teaching me stick shift. Our Non-Profit Organization tried to speak with this "Driving Education School" in regards to providing them our Distracted Driving Curriculum. The owner of the company called me back after missing our call, and upon hearing that we weren't interested in scheduling a driving class, immediately hung up on us. This is completely unprofessional and shows the lack of concern for his student's safety. I would advise parents to steer clear of an organization that won't even take the 2 minutes to speak with a non-profit about distracted driving safety, given that the #1 cause of death for teens is distraction-related accidents. As a side note, every other driving school in Lehigh Valley has adopted our safety curriculum, so check out the proactive schools that actually care about student safety! Read Less

I needed some extra practice before I take my test on Friday. Since I was in the area and couldn't get any driving lessons in New York City where I will be eventually taking the test, I decided to go to the only people that responded in the Bethlehem area. At 200 dollars for 3 hours I thought they were expensive but decided to give it a go. An older gentleman Alan and his wife run this private business. Have a decent sized brand new car for driving lessons. He was punctual and had an amazing amount of patience with me. He first gauged my weakness in driving. Which while I knew was a problem. But I didn't know how to get over it. He slowly but surely helped me get over it. I don't know how the three hours went by. But I know I am a much better driver today. It was an interesting experience as he is quite pushy and when you finally get there it feels like a great victory. I just had to let people know that  I had a very good experience and if they need driving lessons here, they should definitely consider Mr. Alan. Read Less
