We hired Brad to put the finishing touches on driving lessons for our daughter.  He provided great mentorship in a casual, comfortable way that kept my daughter relaxed throughout.  Brad was flexible with our crazy schedule and was able to get the most important lessons done before her scheduled test.  We finished the last two lessons after her test (passed, 97%!).  Weird, I know, but it worked great.  Brad is a good communicator and let us know if he was running a few minutes late with the previous driver, or if we could come early.  I would definitely recommend Advantage Driving Academy. Words can't describe how highly I recommend Brad as a driving instructor for anyone (EVERYONE!) in need of driving instruction.  As an adult who had never driven before, I was very nervous about driving, but my worries were immediately put to ease by Brad who was the perfect balance of guidance, patience and motivation when teaching me to drive on the road.  Because of Brad, I no longer feel afraid of driving and am now a proudly licensed driver after passing my very first driving test!  I purchased the Safe Driving Package which included 6 themed lessons covering all aspects of driving: reference points, neighborhood driving, Beaverton downtown driving, driving on hills and steep roads, freeway, and parking.  The last lesson is a very helpful practice drive in which he tells you what to expect for the test and simulates drive test conditions.  In between each lesson, I practiced driving with my boyfriend and clocked in close to 50 hours of practice time before I felt ready to take the test.  All in all, I cannot recommend Brad highly enough as a driving instructor--the quality of instruction and affordability of his rates seriously brings him to the top of the list, you don't need to look elsewhere!  He is very in demand though, so be sure to schedule in advance (I scheduled about a month in advance of my first lesson with him).  If you want to learn from the Yoda of driving, Brad is the one! We had a great experience with Advantage Driving Academy.  My son was very nervous about driving and we didn't have any success teaching him ourselves.  Brad did a great job.  He was so accomodating and even fit my son into a last minute lesson before his test.  We had a dramatic few tests--first one, my son used my  mother's car and there was a turning light out so he automatically failed before he even got behind the wheel.  Second time, we went to a private place (I don't recommend doing that) and he had to use the car they had and he touched a curb on a turn and failed.  But the good news is that he passed the third time and he wasn't too freaked out about trying again.  He's driving just fine now!!!!    We highly recommend Advantage Driving Academy.  Thanks, Brad! We had an excellent experience with Brad preparing my teen son for his DEQ drive test. We were under the gun trying to fit in lessons during a condensed period of time around many other activities and Brad really worked with us to meet our schedule.We checked with our insurance provider in advance and were able to obtain a discount on those crazy new teen driver insurance rates so it was well worth the cost of private instruction. After many hours driving with my teen on the road, I was happy to have him finish his training with a professional who had a great demeanor that my son responded to well. The last part of the Safe Driving Package course is a simulated DMV drive test which I think helped provide an extra boost of confidence prior to his official test.The only reason this isn't five stars is that we had a few 'bumps in the road' delaying two scheduled lessons. The car used for the lessons was in the shop for an unexpected amount of time which required rescheduling at the last minute. Other than that, everything else was excellent.Teen parent tip: I had no idea how far out you have to schedule a DMV drive test. I thought you just showed up with your paperwork. In many cases, the wait time is 6 - 8 weeks. So I recommend you secure an appointment as soon as you set up your drivers training so those dates are in sync. Read Less

Brad was the best! My teenaged son and 22 year old daughter benefited tremendously from his teaching. He is patient and very clear with his instructions . We were able to fit the private lessons in with my son's busy schedule - it made a lot more sense for us than going to the longer sessions at the community college. I used Advantage Driving Academy as I wanted a few brush-up lessons before a driving test. I've been driving in the UK for years, but I wanted to make sure I was test ready and there were no nasty surprises. Brad suggested three lessons, which was the perfect amount. He tailored each lesson to where I needed improvement and confidence - for me, it's highway driving!
