Michael and Motor Palm Driving School really came through for my son. Michael was able to pick up/drop off my son from home for his driving lessons, which was very convenient considering the driving school is in Salem and we live in Monmouth. After a few months of driving lessons, my son has gone from almost zero driving skills to being a safe, skilled and confident driver. Before contacting Motor Palm, I was extremely nervous and had trouble getting in a car and learning how to drive. But after calling Mike and taking both at home lessons on reviewing text book information and on the road lessons, I got the knowledge and skill in order to get my license before starting my first term at Chemeketa Community College. Mike is a very patient teacher who doesn’t get frustrated or angery if you mess up or have trouble following directions. His constant reassurance helped me to gain more confidence behind the wheel. He’s always available if you need extra lessons wether it’s during the day, at night, or in bad weather, he’s willing to put in the time to help teach you how to be a good and safe driver. He’s a big help especially around the time you’re going to take your drivers test as he gives you tips on what to do/not to do, and shows you the route you will most likely take. Best driving school around! Mike comes to the clients place to pick them up for lessons and also teaches class room driving studies right in your own home! I called other driving schools and there isn't any in the area that is 24/7 and you have to go to where they are located and at their times. Mike will go to different cities and schedule driving time upon the clients preferences. I don't have time to teach my daughter how to drive before she starts college and I hired Motor Palm Driving School. Best decision ever and my daughter is very happy with Mike teaching her!!! Anyone who is looking for a driving instructor to help them with driving issues, needs experience behind the wheel or whatever your need is to be a better driver, Michael Phelps is who you want to help you achieve your goal. In my first review he helped my daughter in achieving her goal in getting her drivers license and to be a good driver. Goal achieved! The reason I am writing this second review is, how Michael helped her beyond her goal. My daughter had confident issues driving by herself to Chemeketa Community College and due to my work schedule I wasn't able to drive with her every day. I called Michael and told him what the issue was. Michael came to my house a couple of days out of the week, my daughter drove our car to Chemeketa in the morning, after dropping off my daughter at the College, Michael drove our car back to my house, and would come back to my house in the afternoon, pick up my car and drove it to Chemeketa College so my daughter could drive it back home with Michael sitting passenger and assisting her each time until she gained enough confidence to drive by herself. Michael went above and beyond any what any driving instructor would do! My daughter now has the confidence to drive on her own and it is because of Michael as an instructor! Michael works around clients schedules, works with many different driving challenges, friendly, patient and there is no driving instructor here in the Willamette Valley or beyond like Him!! I am so happy to have chosen Motor Palm Driving School and will be calling Michael in just a couple of years to teach my Grandson to drive.
