The Customer Service is one of the worst I have ever seen. If you order an online class, expect to start about a couple months after you order it. I personally ordered the Top Driver online classes in September of 2016, it is now February of 2017 and I have still not been able to access the online classes. The build-up of "Technical Difficulties" and the delays makes me wonder if it is just one person running the entire branch. If you try to get a hold of them, you will not get a response for another week. I am shocked at how poorly this business is being run. Read Less

This place is really just a mess all the way around.  We opted for the online course for our son and it was buggy and required at least weekly if not multi-weekly calls to get things fixed.   Now we are onto scheduling or should I say trying to schedule in car's and they have way too few instructors so when slots open they fill in less than 48 hours and then you are back onto a month long wait or longer.  There aren't many choices in Ohio but the alternatives can't be any worse.     In car scheduling is almost impossible, when we finally get one scheduled they cancel for 2/15/2017 and tell us it will be April before they can reschedule.  What a joke. If you want your child to get their drivers license quickly then DO NOT use this school. They will take your money and sign you up for the classroom portion pronto. However they are so short handed in driving instructors it will take almost the full 6 months to get in all 4 of those in car sessions. They are allowed to do this by the contract with the state. I think it is shady but it is legal.If I could get a chance to do this over I would use another school.  You as the consumer hopefully will ask someone else to teach your kids to drive. Read Less

My daughter just finished her lesson with Vito, one of the instructors of the Top Driver classes in Worthington.  Having gone through similar experiences with her two siblings who took driving classes at other schools, I am very impressed with the services we have received.   I almost didn't enroll her because of all of the negative reviews but I'm glad that we decided to give them a chance.  I have not had any trouble reaching anyone when I call the 1-800 number and each time the person answering has been extremely helpful.  Also, Vito is probably the first driving instructor who has been very open, honest and thorough in his feedback with me about opportunities for growth and strength areas. I can't speak to others' experiences and I have heard several horror stories about "Scary Mary" who is an instructor at Thomas Worthington.  I also wish that they would either get more instructors or limit the number of students so that the in-car slots aren't always full.  But I also think they offer better services than other customers have given them credit for. We also had terrible service from Top Driver.  My son had to take the online classes twice because the system somehow lost his records of completion.  He was fine with it because he considered it a review.  He tried calling the company a few times to confirm his schedule for in car training and never received a call back.  I called and spoke to a woman who said he had never called (despite me being next to him when he did).  We were told that he had all of his paperwork completed for the in car sessions only to find out that they could not find them on the day of his first in-car.   The owner called me and said that if I was not able to produce them within 15 minutes that he would be charged $40. I explained that I was across town and had to return home to get our copies.  We ended up getting reimbursed for the in car sessions because of the poor service and my son had to schedule the in car sessions elsewhere.   Save yourself the hassle and go someplace else. I went to Top Driver because they were the first to offer online driving classes in Ohio. It seemed like everyone I knew went to Top Driver because it was the most convenient and could pick me up from school. All I needed to do my in car was complete 2 hours of the online driving course. The problem was they never sent me my username and password to use the site! After numerous phone calls and 10+ emails I still don't have my username and password. The women I spoke to on the phone was incredibly short with me and quite rude. Now I have to change my first in car a SECOND time because these people will not do something as simple as sending me an email that I should have gotten in the first place. My family paid way too much money to be having any problems and I highly suggest you avoid the stress and just take your business else where. We are on the verge of demanding a refund and going somewhere else. Read Less

I paid a lot of money to sign up  for the online classes that Top driver offers. I need my license fairly quickly and I figured that an online class would get me there the fastest. In order to start the mandatory 8 hours of in car courses I needed to complete at least 2 hours of the online course to learn the basics of driving before I could get into a car. Fair enough. The only problem is, they never sent me my username and password required to start my online classes!I have called the company 4 times and emailed a head manager 10+ times trying to get this silly problem resolved. I still don't have my username and password. I have had to reschedule my first in car twice due to the fact I cannot log on to complete my first 2 hours.  When I call the women I spoke too were rude and short with me, promised my problem would be handled by someone else, though it was never resolved. I'm tired of dealing with this company. Their customer service is terrible and I still waiting on an email I should have gotten in the first place.Save your money and your time and please take your business elsewhere. Read Less

Our child is stuck waiting to get onroad training.  The classroom training went well and I was pleased with the instructors.  Our child completed the classroom work 4 weeks ago and there have been no road classes available.  We are told to keep calling and checking online but there are never any choices to select.  I would make sure before I put any cash into a driving school that I have the classroom and onroad work reserved before I pay.  We're stuck waiting months to get into a car and it may be many months after our child has turned 16 that they get their license.My 14 year old will be taking drivers education elsewhere. My son attended Top driver training in Feb 2013.   There was a sub teacher there for a few of the classes and this sub teacher was way off topic primarily on the last night but primarily she made ultra-conservative comments about very controversial topics such as abortion and religion and stated that most rapes are just girls changing their mind.  The worst came when she said someone should kill the president of the U.S. She backed up later in the night and said she didn't really wish "death upon the man" but wouldn't be too upset if someone did shoot him.  She made these statements to 15 year old students who couldn't leave her class or risk not being able to drive a car. I contacted Top Driver mgmt and they said they talked to this teacher and let her know this kind of talk was inappropriate but let her stay teaching regularly in a classroom. Read Less

Good driving instructor, but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! My daughter had a good instructor, but the customer service of this organization is awful.  They rescheduled her classes for later than we originally scheduled them - over 3 weeks later!  So that delayed her ability to get her license.  Then they have not sent her certificate 3 weeks after she finished the class.  And to top it all off the customer service person was EXTREMELY SNOTTY, UNCARING AND RUDE on the phone.  Go somewhere else for your driving classes, these people don't deserve your business.  I am making it my business to discourage people from using them!!!  And I've never done a negative online review for any business previously.  I am a consultant and if I did business like they do I wouldn't have any. The Customer Service is one of the worst I have ever seen. If you order an online class, expect to start about a couple months after you order it. If you want your child to get their drivers license quickly then DO NOT use this school. They will take your money and sign you up for the classroom portion pronto. My daughter just finished her lesson with Vito, one of the instructors of the Top Driver classes in Worthington.  Having gone through similar experiences with her two siblings who took driving classes at other schools, I am very impressed with the services we have received.   I almost didn't enroll her because of all of the negative reviews but I'm glad that we decided to give them a chance.  I have not had any trouble reaching anyone when I call the 1-800 number and each time the person answering has been extremely helpful.  Also, Vito is probably the first driving instructor who has been very open, honest and thorough in his feedback with me about opportunities for growth and strength areas. Good driving instructor, but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
