I passed my driving test with Lucy Auto Driving School!! 10.24.17. This was a HUGE achievement for me b/c I am in my mid 30's, so it was a little more difficult for me. But with 10 lessons and practice on my own I did it! Scheduling was easy and Yvonna is very professional and always sends reminder calls for your next lesson. Prices are up front and straight to the point. Anterra is very patient and definitely tells you your mistakes and how to correct them. Lucy is very easy going and gives much encouragement and guidance on what you need to improve on. The only thing I can say is the upkeep of the cars maintenance need a little TLC ^_^ but other than that i would recommend Lucy's School to ANYONE especially older people like me! (1) Instructors are constantly on their phone texting or talking. When I asked her to stop, Lucy did not even apologize. I had to request a new instructor, who also spent time on her phone (at this point I gave up). (2) The school does not at all respect your appt times. Multiple times, I got a phone call half an hour to an hour before the scheduled road lesson with them trying to cancel/ change time. (3) The administration tries to charge you more money for their mistakes. ...For example, she called me to tell me I needed to pay more money since my road test was scheduled in White Plains as opposed to Yonkers, even though I scheduled the road test through Lucy Driving School. Also, she said she should've charged me more because I live in Bronxville, a fact I made clear from the beginning (it was the first thing she asked me, after all). (4) The fact that the instructors aren't exactly fluent in English impedes their ability to teach. "Nice and easy" is not a description of how to drive, but rather the ideal state. I had to watch YouTube videos to supplement. (5) They absolutely do not pay attention to what you're saying. I had multiple conversations that went like this: "You aren't going to be ready to take the road test" "I understand, but I need to leave for school on the 12th so I'm just going to take it. I know I'll probably fail but what do I have to lose?" "You aren't going pass" "I get it" "You aren't going to pass." It does feel like talking to a thick wall after the 5th conversation. You will not regret choosing Lucy Driviving school. They are phenomenal and very professional. Very good customer service. I did 10 lessons with Lucy and got my license on my first attempt doing the road test. The instructors were very patient with me, they took the time out to answer all my questions and guide me in the right direction. WOW! All i can say is WOW! I mean the service and professionalism is OUTSTANDING! I passed my test after only 5, 30 minute lessons! She was always on time, super friendly, and made me feel so comfortable while driving. She gave me great tips, that i applied while taking my road test which led to me passing. During the 5 hour class, she didn't just show us a video, she gave us life lessons and related it to real life experiences which made me feel like not only will I be driving for myself but also for others. I'm so glad I came to Lucy auto driving school. They have the best work ethic I ever seen. I took lessons with many driving schools in Yonkers but no one like Lucy have I came across by . they were on time , the prices are very affordable. She makes me understand how good I was because I was doubting my self. Today I have a driver license and my four friends because of them. I highly recommend them to anybody in yonkers! I passed my test the first time round after a few lessons with Lucy. Having an EU license, I was hesitant as to whether or not I could ever learn to drive on the opposite side of the road. Lucy made me feel so comfortable, calm and relaxed behind the wheel. She gave me the constructive criticism that I needed, while also complimenting me on what I was doing correctly (unlike other driving schools where they tend to pressure you into thinking you know nothing and have a lot to learn).
