I had an excellent experience driving with Superior Driving School. They stay on top of things with scheduling driving lessons, road tests, etc. The 5 hour class really opened my eyes to a lot of driving errors people make on the road everyday and how important it is to always abide by the rules. My driving instructor was Kent and he knew how to keep a professional relationship with me. He knew how to be completely honest with me on terms of driving technique and habits I shouldn't have. Adolfo is a great teacher, and the staff are helpful. I took 2 short lessons with Superior driving school. I realized that choosing an instructor who listens well and who has your best interest in mind would be the best choice in picking what driving school to choose from. This is because even though an instructor can be from the same driving school, the rapport (nor interest to teach), might not be there; and you will definitely regret paying that money. I was a part of the 5 hour class this Saturday and I am VERY impressed with the instructor's teaching method. He is very passionate about the material and incorporated real life experience. He kept the class's attention and was very humble and down to earth. I could tell that he loves doing this and it's not just for the money. I have taken a 5 hour class in the past and let the certificate expire I paid 35 dollars more than I did in this class and I did not even hear the instructor speak once during the 5 hours. I would recommend this class to any and everyone looking for a 5 hour class. But I would most definitely recommend it to young drivers! Young people need wisdom and this instructor has ALOT of it! I have zero experience in driving. After reading the reviews for this school and knowing a couple of people who have went here, I decided to give it a try! The school was very welcoming and has great instructors. I learned so much from Oscar and Alonso. They are so patient, give amazing advice and work their best to help you perfect any trouble you may have with driving. Plus they are so fun!! Poor customer service. Called on a Friday to see when I could pick up a reissue of my 5hrclass certificate and was told to drop by anytime during office hours, I even have my name and date I took the class. I come on a sat late morning and was told by a receptionist if I had an appointment?? I told her exactly what was discussed on The phone with me. Said she couldn't get to the certificates because the file cabinet was in the classroom which was currently in session and I would need to wait. It's 11:30 and she said it would probably break at noon for 15 mins, the class didn't break til 1230. I would think the receptionists should be able to inform visitors of any delay or what time would be best to drop by . I then had to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to scramble to reissue the certificate. On top of wasting 1+ hrs of my life, still had to pay for the $15 reissued certificate. I felt there was No accountability for poor customer service and they did not even offer any credit or some way to make up for THEIR ERROR. Do not waste your time Read Less

I don t recomment I had a very bad experience making the worse mistake ever...Maybe some of the instructor are nice i don t know i can t talk in general...but one of them with the name eddie the wrong choice.I had a very bad experience .first of all the office always give you good information etc etc...but you will realize that you are paying a lot of money for nothing, they charge you 400 and somenthing for 11 classes 45 minutes...if you are begginer wrong mistake....don t pay that..I had my 5th lesson with that person called eddie very ignorant person..coming late and rushing you while he is teaching ...and very bad educated...treating you like you already know how to drive perfectly..no manners...of course i told him..you know what he did?  Disgusting situation he got mad saying that i dont know what i just did...he said that he is the owner of the company he asked to get off the car yealling traying to minimizing me...saying inappropriate  words like he is not in the mood and has no time to deal with people like me bla bla bla .and also saying that he doesnt care if after that i complain about that beacuse he was the owner...I complaing to the office of course they appologize...the next day they confirmed they said that person had a very bad family day..Lol I am not suppose to know and care about it.the professional are they not me...So i don t recoment to people who want to learn driving paying a lot of money...to get your liscence you just have to pay your certificate 40 dollars..that s it...rent a car with somebody who has licence...go away and practice all day without pressure instead of paying 39 dollars per 45 minutes pluss you don t know what king of instructor would be.The Dmv want just the certifacate(5hours) your learnen permit.and the car for your test...You can learn and practice....don t let people treat you badly.and cheat you.I thought they follow a standard how to teach but they don t ..each of them have their own style.they just look like they want the time go fast to finish the class. "NOT RECOMMENDED" I choosed this driving school after reading all the good reviews. This people charge way more than any other driving schools. They tell you first you gonna get picked up and drop off however, they lie. Always offering double lesson per day saying you can spend more time getting comfortable on the car. Then, on the day of test they change the car without informing you also the instructor changed in my case. On the day of my test, I got on the car and it took me 3 minute adjusting the seat. So I failed and was told to be more comfortable with the car. I was so disappointed they didn't refund me obviously all they said was "sorry for the inconvenience." Read Less

I decided to go with Superior Driving School after reviewing many places around the area. I took the 16 lesson package, because I had no previous driving knowledge whatsoever. My instructor, Oublal, was the best. He was very patient, explained things in very concise and clear manner. And to top it with sprinkles, he was very fun. I looked forward my lessons with him every week. I passed my test in my first try, after being very nervous about it. My instructor was very reassuring, and that help a lot.If you're looking to learn some good driving skills, please look no further. You can't beat their price and the quality of their employees. I had my AMAZING 5 hour class last night with Mr. Abdul. He was informative, funny, entertaining, a bit eccentric but overall he was GREAT! The receptionist was very kind and helpful with setting up my appointment. The school is near the 7 and R trains and was about an hour and fifteen minutes away from my location in Brooklyn. The receptionist was very friendly and was managing multiple phone lines while trying to assist me with any inquiries all by herself. The office is not that big but it's still clean and fresh.They had 3 packages averaging prices from 270, 450, 550. Each package comes with more or less lessons depending on the price, 5-hour pre lisencing class and road test/car rental.I had my 5 hour class the day of my registration, in a group of 8 other students we were educated by Abdul who was very educational, informative, and definitely passionate about safe and defensive driving.You can really tell he waa genuine about the safety of our driving to better the future.+1 star after I pass road test! This place is definitely a hidden gem! I usually rely on yelp to guide me to great establishments and this one is definitely one of them! I am in my 30s and thought driving just wasn't for me. I hit an early mid life crises  and thought... why not! I first had the bug to drive last year and took a five hour course (somewhere else)... end result of that.. I didn't go back. This year,  I forced myself to go in because of all of these great reviews and with the help of Stephanie who works the front , I booked a package and it was smooth sailing ever since. I got over my nerves with the help of Adolfo ( yes he really is the best)and passed my road test on my first try. Literally, I went from zero experience to getting my license within a month. Adolfo was very informative. He did have those famous matchbox cars along with various reading materials. I did spook him a couple of times with my horrible mistakes but he remained as cool as a cucumber lol. This place must be family owned because everyone who works there was super nice and they actually CARED about their clients which is hard to find. The wait for lessons with Adolfo varies but I hear all of the instructors are just as good so i'd advise to book the classes as close together as possible with whomever is available. Came in today and brought one of the package deals. First step is to have the 5 hour certificate course; the man teaching the class was great and really did care about safe driving. Unlike other places, he spoke to us and made the class participate, which was great. I'm only giving the place 4 stars because so far I've only had the class, I still need to see how the driving lessons go and how competent the instructor is.Adolfo is amazing! he patient and has the best tips and advise. Really great driving school. As far as service goes, you get a lot for what you pay for. The receptionists are great; they will work with you to schedule your appointments, and they call you the day before your lesson to remind you of your lesson. I bought the 16 classes + 5 hour + road test package.The five hour is probably one of the better five hour classes you can take. The instructor was incredibly insightful and entertaining throughout the class. This was my second time taking a five hour, and I was impressed that the instructor was able to fill most of the time speaking and engaging students. We didn't watch videos the entire time, which was very different (and better) than the five hour I took in Albany, NY.The driving lessons were great. Adolfo was my instructor and he went above and beyond my expectations. He was always on time, always in a great mood and maintained a positive attitude throughout the lesson. Before I started at Superior, I had less than one hour of driving experience. I was really pleased that I passed the road test my first try. Before I started taking classes, I was really nervous about things like parallel parking and doing broken U-turns, but Adolfo has everything down to a science. He made me try parallel parking my very first lesson and I nailed it because of his formula. Ignore the bad reviews. This place was horrible. I showed up at the defensive driving class and the class was cancelled because something happened to the instructor. In the meantime,  I heard the receptionist said on the phone that the instructor will show if one more person comes. So they just cancelled the class because not enough people were there. This business was misleading because they told me over the phone that classes are held Tuesday and Wednesday evening but in reality that only happens when they have enough people. I was really annoyed with them because I arrange for someone to baby sit my daughter thinking I was going to take this class. I will not go back to them. Read Less

Firstly, Adolfo is THE best. He was so patient with me and made sure to point out all of the areas where I needed work on with my driving. During my lessons Adolfo had toy cars to visually instruct me on how to parallel park, do a 3 point turn, etc., and it really helped. I took my road test today and PASSED!I just happened to stumble upon this little diamond in the rough when I was looking through yelp and definitely recommend this driving school hands down. Do you realize what happens when a business spends less on rent? It passes the savings to the customer. I loved taking lessons with Adolfo, you need to work with him as he's working with you. I passed my test on my first try, the pre-test practices definitely help. If you're upset about anything with this place, it's because you're upset you didn't pass your exam. I have driven for about a year with my permit, but I needed a brush up with my parallel parking and I needed to take the 5 hour class. Superior Driving was near where I live and I knew people who took lessons here, so I signed up for a 5 hour class at first. I thought it would just consist of videos and be very boring since I had a 5pm to 10pm class, but it totally was not. The class was interactive, and the instructor was very, very funny! He added stories to the class, and it didn't feel like 5 hours at all.So, to the actual driving lessons. The instructor would pick me up right in front of my house at the exact time. They were really patient and funny! They taught me short cuts for the test and were extremely helpful. Also, they would call my phone to remind me about my driving test and if I would have a different instructor for my lesson for the next day.I had 4 driving lessons and I passed the road test on my first try! Wow.. Disregard the bad reviews! I worked with so many instructors here due to my crazy schedule, and each of them are very insightful and experienced in different ways. My best friend had Adolfo and she said he's super patient and offers many techniques to see which one you're more comfortable with. I took most of my classes with Oublal and he's awesome! He's really descriptive and will drill your weaknesses in until they become strengths. Thanks again Oublal !! Also Janet, their receptionist is the sweetest aunt-like figure in the office.
