Figs came highly recommended by close friends of mine. Jennifer was a great driving instructor with a wealth of knowledge to give to her students. After doing 5 lessons I can now say I'm a better and much more confident driver thanks to this great driving school. I also passed my road test for the first time. I would recommend Figs to anyone looking to improve their driving skills . Read Less

Figs driving school is the best school I've ever been to. He gives great tips and teaches you everything you need to know to be a good driver and pass your driving test. I took one of his driving things like 10 years ago and I still have those tips and tricks stuck in my head from that silly old guy. He may have a poor sence of humor but it's all in an attempt to ingrain his important tips and tricks into you head and pass that test. Like I said I still remember his stuff ten years later. If you find the class offensive or uninformative your being a baby about it. You should go in the corner and cry to your daddy. They purposely try to rattle you a little bit because in the real world you're going to have your music blasting and your friends yacking up a storm and distractions are a part of driving and they prepare you for things like this. If you can't handle this school you shouldn't be driving in the first place. Take a few years to mature and grow up a little and then take the test. And please don't drive a car because you people who've had such terrible time passing the driving test seem like total idiots and actually scare me. It scares me that such ignorant people are our future drivers. Best school ever Read Less

First off they barely pick up the phone when you call. The owner from when I saw him was nice. It's very unprofessional here. I wouldn't recommend it. They messed up my appointment and tried to blame me for it. But the older woman who works there is NASTY. She's very condescending, nasty, moody, and overall acts like she hates life. Very quick to put you down. She is the instructor I'm stuck with. She arrives early which is cool with me. But she refuses to say anything or get out of the car unless you drive. Doesn't even call or ring the bell to let you know she's outside after a while. She just leaves nasty voice mails. I understand it's nerve wracking to be in a car with someone who doesn't know how to drive. Let alone with someone who has an attitude problem you never met before. Don't make me feel bad when I do something wrong like trying to remember how to do K turns AFTER the first time. I am a new driver. I understand that I am driving a car that can seriously hurt someone or myself. First time we were out. Went to stop at a stop sign right? Tip of the car was just at the right spot to stop in front of the stop sign. So I came to a gradual, slow stop. She literally started yelling "You just hit the kid!!" Panicking I frantically looked around terrified. She later quipped "That's what could have happened. Now pay attention." For the entire hour I just wanted to go home. It was painful and very awkward. She does not talk to you at all unless, YES! That's right you do something wrong.Today I went out again with her. I wasn't allowed to adjust the mirrors so I could see until she yelled at me. We were doing K turns. And she kept making me nervous, so I kept going a step ahead to turn the wheel. Then I realized my mistake right after. Well I took too long and she AGAIN yelled "See! And that would have failed you on your road test! Now turn around. I'll tell you where to go next." She keeps saying this too ALOT. Followed by don't be nervous. She tells you to go WAY under the speed limit. Which normally under bad driving conditions, road work, weather, etc is fine. But going very below it also puts the other drivers at risk sometimes. I'm not saying you HAVE to be a speed demon. But I am saying going to far below, or too far above can get you a ticket. THEN when I kept having to dodge the parked cars, and mail boxes. And I admit the first few times I was close to the cars while driving by. But we had enough room to move around without hitting them. After she said "Your trying to wreck my car?! I'd like to keep my windows!" Followed later by:Can't you see the curb?!" (As she rolled her eyes.) "How many times do I have to tell you this? Can't you grasp this concept? Your not listening." "Look at the dash board. Do you even know what the dash board is? This is a dashboard." (The car is some old, but clean, POS. It's very odd to drive.) "Well plenty of lessons are needed before you can get that road test of yours!" (No kidding Sherlock.)"What're doing! Do you even know what your doing??" No I really don't. That's why my family pays YOU excellent money to TEACH me. You get my point. They don't take calls on the weekend. And canceling is such a pain. The female driving instructor barely teaches you anything. And is honestly a "lovely" person. It's one of the few places that drives to your house though at $50 a lesson. Read Less

I had a similar experience. I will not be going to Fig's for lessons in the future. First he came up my driveway shouting and when I got into the car and explained I've never driven before, he made some really rude jokes about getting into an accident and getting us killed and it just made me even more nervous. He didn't give me a moment to figure out the car or anything despite that I've never sat in that seat let alone had any driving experience. He just told me "we're in trouble" and yelled at me to go so and yelled at me at every stop sign to stop literally two blocks up from the stop sign. I got yelled at with every turn and he made jokes of me running us into a ditch because I couldn't stay -on- the yellow line. And most of the roads he had me drive on weren't even marked so that made it worse. And he kept telling me to give the car more gas even though I was going the speed limit and I just felt overall unsafe. Then when I thought it couldn't get any worse, he stared at his watch the entire time sighing audibly and fidgeting like he was annoyed. Then he sat there and was making calls on his cellphone while I was already panicking from being screamed at the whole time... And I had no idea where we were supposed to be going and he didn't tell me which way we were turning until I was stopped at the corner so I couldn't even signal. And he'd gesture with his arm like I was supposed to know. This experience was awful. Horrible. And the worst 50 dollars I have ever spent for a lesson. I already have a phobia of driving and this just made it ten times worse. Never going back. Never ever. Read Less
