Mr. Rinko was extremely sexist, and I could not believe it. He repeatedly asked one girl if she had a boyfriend, or if she was married, and called her "a tall glass of water". It was very inappropriate, and made everyone uncomfortable. He said girls shouldn't get in car accidents, because it would mess up there pretty faces, and no man would want them. He was very rude, and got too personal. He basically gave his whole life sorry, and told us about how his parents would beat him. It was not appropriate at all. There was an older Korean man in my class, and Mr. Rinko would just call him "Korea". He didn't even ask him his name, he just called him "Korea". I was astonished at how racist and rude he was. There were two Chinese students in the class, and he asked them if they could speak English. It was so nasty of him, and they were obviously uncomfortable. I didn't learn anything of importance, and it was a complete waste of my time. It is not okay for Mr. Rinko to be so outwardly sexist and racist. I was astonished at the things he said, and I was so disgusted. He is so sexist, and does not deserve to be teaching. Read Less

I attended the five-hour driving class with Mr. Rinko. I have not met anyone, especially in the field of education, as sexist as he was. He referred to the other young woman and I in the class as distractions to boys and reasons they crash. At one point when talking about this, he asked the other high-school-aged woman and me if we had boyfriends. That is a very inappropriate question from an unfamiliar grown man to two 17-year-old girls. I wish I was making this up. At one point, I was asking the important question of how to handle a simple fender-bender, and he said "girls" should stay in the car and call 911. I assumed he was joking, but I was incorrect. Without the course I know that is not how to handle a minor collision; 911 is for emergencies. I had caught on so I asked what he would recommend if there were a male student in the fender-bender. He finally answered my original, very simple question. He also said if it were dark he wouldn't let the "girls" leave without a chaperone because it is "dangerous" in downtown Saratoga. I would not recommend your child, especially your daughter, to attend one of his classes. For most of the class I felt uncomfortable. I am beyond disappointed. Read Less
