I took my 5 hour course her the instructor went over things that we actually beneficial to driving not just words to stretch the class to make it 5 hours. I've had 2 lessons with Paul. Prior to my first lesson had not drove a car in 4 years i thought i was going to do horrible. Paul gave me the confidence i needed and taught me the proper ways to do things without making me feel stupid. my road test is next week and im more then confident that i will do fine thanks to Paul.. Registered for 5 hr class for Saturday during the week on the Monday April 10th prior. I received a conformation email saying I signed up for the class on Tuesday the 11th prior. I called on Wednesday the 12th to confirm that I was in fact confirmed for the class on Saturday the 15th. On Saturday, I arrived at 10:15. The office opens at 10 and the doors were still locked. I waited with 5 other students at the front door until our scheduled class at 10:30 am. I waited until 11 and then I left as nobody from the office arrived to unlock the door to give us our 5 hr lesson. They never bothered to contact any of us to let us know they were closed that day, and their voice mail said that they were closed for 'Easter weekend' and will open again on the 17th. Fail. These people... where do I begin? I took a prelicensing course here and they were supposed to schedule my road test which I couldn't make. I then had them reschedule it which they did not do. No big deal, I'll schedule it myself, but I lost my certificate as I moved. I've called them every day for the past four days and each time, they tell me the instructor is in, and all of the sudden he isn't, which is a problem because he needs to sign off on the certificate. The days he will be in change every time I call, and I was told today that he would be in only to call and find out they were closed. I actually wish I could give them negative stars. There's no online reservation, so when my wife called in to schedule driving lessons, the lady who answered the phone was very impatient, and lazy. She did not even bother to offer options for my wife, the lady flat our said she wouldn't schedule anything for my wife. So my wife hung up and took her business somewhere else. We highly recommend you take your business somewhere else too if that is how they treat you on the phone. Lazy receptionist lady just cost the company a customer, and a bad review on Yelp. I am so incredibly pleased with this company. My son had a lesson scheduled before his road test with another company and when they didn't show up I immediately searched and found Mid Island. Donna, who is so sweet, worked miracles and was able to get my son a last minute lesson with road test service. Not only did he pass, but he got zero points off after failing twice before. You guys are the best,Jack did a wonderfull job in communicating with my grandson and helping him pass the road test.I had spent $1,700.00 with another driving school for my grandson John. It was a waste of money,they were nasty and he did not learn the skills to pass the road test. Mid-Island did it much cheaper and always with a smile.
