I took the 5-hour pre-licensing course there and it was very detailed and helpful. They taught us all of the basics of driving as well as taking the road test. The 5 hour classes are only on Tuesdays @5:30pm and sundays @10:00am, but they're only 45$ so its worth taking. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a pre-licensing certificate. Read Less

Do not use this driving school. They are completely unprofessional. I had two bad experiences:1. I called to schedule a driving test and lessons. The lady on the phone said she will schedule a test for me and told me to come in for the five hour defensive driving class. Later she called me and left a message with the test date. When I came in for the five hour class I told the man who worked there that I need to reschedule the test, since I was going away on vacation. He found an earlier date for me and rescheduled my test. A few days later I called to schedule some driving classes, the lady said that since my test was still far away I should wait a little and take classes closer to the test. I told her that my test was rescheduled. Apparently it wasn't. I don't know if the man lied to me, or doesn't know how to do his job, but my test was still scheduled for the original date. I ended up canceling it and scheduling it myself, which wasn't very difficult so I'm not sure why the school couldn't get it together.2. I bought the five classes package, which includes the car for the driving test. The instructor was not very good and kept grabbing the wheel from me and yelling at me when I looked both ways before making a turn. I told him my test date, and he said I am not ready. Three days before my test the school left a message for me, reminding me about the time and date of my test, saying that my instructor will meet me and take me there. The day before the test I called him to make meeting arrangements, he told me that he doesn't have a car and blamed me for not telling him ahead of time that my test was coming up. I called the school immediately, it was after 6 so there was no one there, but I left a message telling them that the instructor didn't have a car. My test was at 8:30am the next day. I was really upset that no one got back to me that evening and went to bed thinking there is no way to get to my test. I woke up the next morning to messages from the school that the instructor now has the car and is waiting for me. Unfortunately, it was already too late and I would have missed my test. Read Less

Reception is very kind and helpful! My road test appointment was booked for the closest date possible - only 3 weeks to wait and thanks to groupon it was at no cost for me! I got agreat deal. I do have experience driving overseas, however I purchased extra lessons with this school just to make sure that I know how to drive in NYC. And I am happy I did. I took only 3 lessons. Yuriy was appointed as an instructor to me. He is the best. Sincerely, he can make it very tough for you while teaching, however, trust me, if you do what he says, the road test will become a piece of cake! The people at the office are very kind and very sweet and the receptionist is very helpful, but The instructor I had Name" Muhammad"., He didn't teach me anything. !!! I paid the school for some classes and I paid him some personal classes as well . when I took the road test I didn't pass it and he had the nerve to say he knew I was going to fail. He should have told me he wasted my time , all he wanted was the money. Don't get me wrong !!! He is sweet and very kind but he is not a good instructor. Yesterday I took my road test again I went to another school called Junction driving school and I passed!!! Saunders is great! They got me my road test super fast, 2 months before the expected wait time, and I passed on the first try after just one lesson. I had gotten my license before in my home state, but accidentally let it lapse after it came up for renewal and had to start over from the beginning in NY. Edward picked me up an hour before my road test and we practiced the maneuvers. I hadn't driven in 2 years and was worried that wouldn't be enough, but he was a good instructor, very supportive, and I flew through my road test in 3 minutes. Definitely recommend. Read Less

Saunders Driving School is a good place to renew your ACCIDENT PREVENTION course. I literally called them and the same day i went to take the course. Fee is $60. The lady there, Natalia, is very nice and mannered and gets things done quickly. They also do driving lessons, road tests and apparently help you set up insurance for your vehicle , if necessary. Really great experience. Needed the 5h class and they have it twice a week. Once i completed that they rushed my road test and made an appointment for me in 3 weeks.bPassed my test in 4 minutes. Andrew who provided me with a car (for an additional fee of course) was great. Took an hour class before the test and he showed me the easiest way to do parallel parking and now i can park literally in one two three. Matter of fact i am writing this review sitting on a chair at a hair salon and had to drive here. I have done the Pre-Driving course with Saunders Driving school. It was cheap and time went by quickly. The instructors really know their stuff and provided great tips for passing the driving test. I Had Very Few Consistent Driving Lessons Through My Life. After My First Lesson With One Instructor, I Realized His Availability Wasn't Working Out With My Work Schedule. I Was Eventually Paired With Mark, And I Have To Say He Is A Miracle Worker. I Had A Bit Of A Phobia Driving As I Was Involved In A Car Accident When I Was 9 Years Old. Like A Seasoned Coach/Drill Instructor, Mark Helped Sharpen My Driving Skills And Finding My Comfort Zone. While I Had Some Doubt In My Ability Going Into My Road Test Today, I Passed With Flying Colors! I Can Not Thank Mark Enough And I Truly Appreciate His Help As This Milestone In My Life Means So Much To Me. I just cleared my driving test. I took a 5 classes deal. I initially opted for Mark as my instructor after reading reviews on Saunders site. Only a class was enough to understand that Mark was not the right guy to learn driving from. He was aggressive and at times did not talk properly. Well when you are new and learning, you need guidance & constructive feedback. Definitely no aggression.I then got Mohammed as my instructor , he is good and took care of minute details.
