The best place to learn to drive! I passed my road test on my first try, as do so many other people who take lessons here! Angel is the absolute best instructor, he is so kind and actually talks to you and helps you learn. I had an absolutely AMAZING experience at this driving school. I'm 38 years old and started driving about 1 year before coming to One Way. I needed driving practice in the city and to learn how to parallel park and was incredibly nervous! Angel and Ralph were both patient, kind and very experienced driving instructors. They really helped me figure out all the tips and tricks for getting parallel parking and three point turns down pat and our sessions were always a ton of fun with lots of laughs! I bought a package of 10 lessons that included the 5hr class, the car for the drivers test, the test and a free lesson. I took the test on November 14 and I passed the first time with flying colors. Their prices were incredibly reasonable, their instructors professional and experienced and the ladies that work reception were always super friendly and helpful. They are also very accommodating about scheduling and make themselves available on weekends, nights and early mornings to get you the lessons you need. I highly, highly recommend this driving school. I went back to give this place a second chance and I was NOT disappointed. He threw on a free class just for good measure. What I will say about angel is that he is passionate about what he does how he teaches and wether or not you pass your exam. I started off with a six lesson package for 270 but by the time I got closer to my road test, I wasn't feeling as confident. I then upgraded to the 10 lesson package for only 100 dollars more and got one free lesson. The 370 included the car for the test, the 5hr class, and to schedule the road test. I would say that the prices are relatively cheap compared to other places. About 8 of my lessons were with Angel and the other 3 were with Ralph. Both of their styles of teaching are different but putting both of their constructive criticism together only helped me to better my driving. Great experience, so glad I choose one way driving. The staff was very polite and helpful and I couldn't of had a better instructor to help me get my licence. Angel made me feel so comfortable as if i was taking my lessons with a family member, I took 4 lessons and now have my license. I am very satisfied and would recommend One Way Driving to anyone! My experience with One Way Driving was amazing. Both Angel and Ralph are amazing instructors. Their styles differ from one another a little, but that only enhanced my driving skills. I initially signed up for 6 lessons but switched to 10 before I even took my first lesson, and I’m glad I did so. I passed my road test with a perfect score of 0 penalty points on the first try. Angel, the owner, is an extremely kind and a fair person. He treats his students as a family (and unlike with actual family members, you don’t get yelled at with One Way Driving if you make a mistake. :-) Both Angel and Ralph pointed out things I needed to improve and gave me many useful tips that ultimately helped me be a better driver. The girls at the office are very nice and helpful. When I encountered some unforeseen problems with scheduling, they were very helpful and made sure that I got to have my lesson. I'm very blessed to have chosen this driving school. I thank God that my instructors are Believers! There were a few bumps in the road (pun intended) but all in all, I was taught to drive and pass my road test. I also had the privilege of speaking in several accents with Angel! Lol. So much fun. My experience with One Way Driving was great from start to finish. I'm 21 and this was my first time attempting to get my license and of course I didn't want to waste my time and money. I found O.W.D on Yelp and there were so many reviews giving this place praise so I gave it a try. And it was worth it. I got the 6 lesson package which was $270 and included 6 - 45 min lessons, their car for the test, scheduling of the road test, and the 5 - hour pre-licensing course. I put down $150 as a deposit and then brought $30 with me the next 4 classes, however I personally didn't feel ready yet as my road test date was approaching so I just added 3 more classes $30 each. The prices seemed reasonable to me but in total I paid $360 for 9 lessons (the 6 lesson package + 3 additional lessons) and the 10 lesson package was 370 so just a heads up really think about how much practice you'll need. They also have 3, 15, and 20 lesson packages. There is a small staff 2 driving instructors Angel and Ralph, and 2 receptionists. Overall everyone was professional and polite but the owner Angel is really a genuine man who cares for all of his students. Since day one he made the experience personal and made sure I feel comfortable and relaxed. During lessons he sometimes shared his personal experiences throughout life or he'd sing lol which I didn't mind at all. It made the lesson feel more laid back instead of nerve wrecking. When it comes to driving he really knows what he's talking about. His tips and tricks for parking and 3-point turning were really helpful during my road test, and he helped me learn how to cut the wheel and let it go so you get a smooth turn because that was a big issue for me. As we got closer to the test date he would be more serious during lesson because he really wanted to make sure I would get it right under pressure during the test and make sure that Ralph was not as dedicated of an instructor and his can smelled like cigarettes which being a non-smoker irked me a little if you have a choice take your lessons with Angel however Ralph is also a decent instructor The 5-hour class was of course long but not as dreadful as I expected. Like I said before Angel makes the experience 100% personal. Sharing his experiences helped to make the road precautions they warn you about stick in your head. If I had to do it all over again I'd still choose One Way. And I recommend it to all of my friends who tell me they're trying to get their license because I honestly feel the experience is totally worth it. Read Less

I had an amazing experience attending driving classes at One Way Driving LLC! My best friend was taking driving classes with them and would always tell me all about how amazing her instructor was. Even though this school is a little out of the way from my house (I live in Maspeth and the school is in Ridgewood), I gave it a try and it was definitely worth it. I bought a deal of 6 classes (call to confirm the packages because I forgot what mine included) and MAKE SURE you schedule all of them because their time slots fill up fast.Angel, the instructor there, was personable and very knowledgeable. He teaches you little tricks and really doesn't make you feel nervous AT ALL. He is also very supportive. I wouldn't have been able to get my license without all his help.Also, the receptionists are really amazing and they always call to remind you about your appointments. Monique, one of the receptionists here, kept following up with me to find out the best date and location to take my road test.I highly recommend this school to anyone that's looking for a fun/family oriented place to learn. :) Read Less
