Booking the classes and the 5-hour online class were quick and easy. The driving lessons themselves were very helpful.. I had Debbie as an instructor and she made sure to go through everything - from the second you get into the car to when you’re parked and settled. She made sure to even go through everything that would be included on the exam over and over again while practicing to ensure that I would pass the exam. I came to this driving school all the way from Far Rockaway because the schools in my area weren't picking up the phone. Upon arrival i was skeptical because it didn't look like a place i would choose to do a 5 hr class or take a lesson. My first day there I sat and spoke with a lady behind the desk and she persuaded me to do a package instead of paying for just the certificate sepeartely. Honestly I've been driving for a while now but never went to get my license since i didn't know how to parallel park so i didn't want to do a package plus Im very cheap but i went ahead and paid $195 for the Package 1 that included the road test, car, 3 lessons, 5 hr certificate. This was my first time going to take a driving test so i was really nervous. The instructors were very patient and nice. They were willing to help and answer all the questions i had. I would definitely send someone here to get their license. I passed on my first try even though i was so nervous i felt sick. Lol Read Less

So I passed my driving test on the 2nd attempt. Well the first attempt was due to my negligence. But I must say D and E is a driving school to go. The instructors; Injoy is a very calm, understanding individual who gave room for mistakes during my lesson while Darwin is a friendly/lively instructor. I felt really relaxed taking my lessons with them.. The 5 hour class was well detailed, I learnt a lot from that as well...Shah the instructor is knowledgeable. HORRIBLE PLACE. I initially had my first driving lesson on 8/8/14. The instructor was 10 minutes late and I wasn't given the full hour for my lesson. We started around 12:15 and my lesson ended at 12:46. I called twice on Monday afternoon to confirm my lesson for Tuesday and surprise....no one answered the phone. I arrived Tuesday at 12 pm only to be told I had no lessons planned and that the next available lesson would be Thursday. Mind you I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn. It a pain to get Woodhaven and to be told that was very frustrating. The driving instructor informed me to come Tuesday and I tried to call to confirm so I showed up because according to policy if I am late or miss an appointment I will get charged 15$. I asked for a refund in which I was first told that the money is NOT Refundable(which I have him recorded saying so)....Then I asked him to show me where I signed off stating that my money was not refundable.. he couldn't. Before I sign anything I read it and no where did it state that I am not entitled to a refund. DO NOT BE FOOLED. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A REFUND IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICES OFFERED. I was not happy with the run around, the lessons, the people, the attitude. This is a horrible driving school. I would not recommend this to any family or friends. This is one of the greatest schools I sent my son there and he got both his bike and automobile license all in one day. The prices are fair and I loved the services the instructors are young and intelligent. I am a NYC Police officer and i recommend this driving school to everyone. THANKS D&E DRIVING SCHOOL!!! I had made an appointment for a saturday for my first driving lesson a week in advance. My appt time comes around and the driver is not there. I called the office and they said that my appointment was at 2pm. I told them that my appt slip says 2:45 and to check their records again. It did infact show it was for 2:45 and they had given my spot to someone else because they "couldn't get me on the phone". I was then assured that the instructor would be at my house by 3:30 p.m. Well, 3:30 comes around and still no instructor, so I call the office back and they said to just "sit tight and he'll be there". The instructor finally shows up at 4:15. Then I get a call that Monday asking where I am for my 2nd lesson, when my 2nd and 3 appointment was for that Saturday and Sunday. When I called the office to confirm my 2nd and 3rd appointment, the lady answering the phones didn't speak english at all. I will not be recommending this place at all. They are not good with their scheduling. Read Less
