Passed my road test yesterday and I owe Adrian so much for it. Just made a yelp account right now to write this review I feel so grateful! Took road test a couple months ago and failed. Last time, the teacher literally laughed in my face when we were waiting on line and I was having a ton of anxiety. I told Adrian about this, and while we were waiting he pulled out two toy cars and a sheet of plastic for a road, and let me go over the steps for parking/3 point turn over and over again. You can tell I'm clearly not the most relaxed or easiest client but Adrian totally put up with me and my nonstop talking/reviewing while we were waiting. He was calming and understanding and respectful even though for him road tests are obviously no big deal for him. He's taken hundreds of other nervous people to their road tests. Also I took one lesson with Adrian yesterday for the hr before my road test but that was the first lesson I've ever taken with him/the company. I wish I used them all along. Used two other companies- pas and formula one and really don't have many good things to say about either. Lessons and instructors were mostly either bad or just okay. Adrian's might be more expensive but at least for me it was totally worth it and money well spent. It can be really expensive for a ton of lessons, so even if you use a different company for bulk of lessons by buying a package of however many hours of driving instruction, I suggest you buy one or two lessons if you can or at least use the company to take you for your road test. It's worth it especially for nervous drivers. I also can't imagine him hiring other instructors who aren't great themselves, so I really don't think you'll be disappointed. Just spoke with a representative (foreign accent, maybe German, Austrian...so you know who I mean) on the phone to ask what the procedure was for getting a license. SO RUDE!!! I did not understand clearly and she said "I don't know how many ways I have to tell you, but...". I said sorry, I just didn't understand.  She said "I can tell you a hundred different ways, but I will tell you the same thing".... OMG. I was looking forward to this school because of the reviews. Just passed my road test two days ago in first attempt. I had tried another driving school and quit after one class because the instructor was unprofessional,  rude and condescending. I then looked up online and found Adrian Dricing School. I thought it was expensive at first but then when it's about driving on the roads, there are people's lives including yours that are at stake. So the money was worth it. Michael from Adrian Driving school was my instructor. One of the nicest people I've ever seen! Polite, patient and very kind. He gave me so much confidence! He taught me how to perfectly parallel park and i nailed it during my driving test! Pararell parking is now my strongest skill--thanks to Michael!! I had driven in another country for two years, but that was 5 years ago. And also i was used to the right hand driving i.e. driving on the left side of the road. On the day of road test i was a little nervous but Michael kept encouraging me. I passed the road test and was ecstatic! I do think though that Michael could do even better by being a little more specific in terms of step by step guidance e.g. he didn't tell me to look over my left shoulder before pulling out when starting the road test and i got points for that. That mistake could have easily been avoided. Another thing was that he didn't tell me to straighten my wheels after i parallel park so even though my parallel parking was perfect the examiner told me that i needed to straighten my wheels. I passed my road test earlier this week on Monday. We have recently re-located from Hong Kong to New York and while I have had a fair bit of driving experience in Asia, driving in the US was totally new to me.I first came across Adrian's driving school as a recommendation from a friend for my 5 hour mandatory driving course. The simplicity and forthrightness of everyone in this place absolutely amazed me. They talk real stuff and teach you real stuff.My theory lessons were predominantly with Adrian but Susan who works with Adria had dropped by on the weekend and that's where I got acquainted to Susan and later took my driving lessons and eventual road test under Susan's guidance and coaching.It is not often you come across such good folks who are genuinely invested in helping you achieve the outcome you want. After taking my road test twice and failing, I was feeling so frustrated.  I was recommended by a friend to Adrians Driving school and I was so happy that I took her advice.  He was super patient and very informative.  He was honest and didn't push me to take more lessons than I needed.  He took me to my road test and I am so happy that I finally passed! The previous review really sums it up. I did my 5 hour  course in Mt Kisco with Adrian and subsequently took some driving lessons in White Plains. Adrian is always patient, gives clear instructions and when you make a mistake he takes the effort to explain the implications. My wife and I came to the US a few years ago and soon learned we were each going to need a driver's license. We had no driver's license from our country. We learned about Adrian and booked lessons with him. We were surprised by how quickly and easily we learned how to drive, parallel park, spot traffic situations and be defensive drivers in general. To give you an example, when you're at a stop sign about to enter a priority road, always double check that a driver entering the intersection from your left who signals a right turn is actually going to turn before entering the intersection, because people can change their minds and give you a nasty surprise. (I changed my mind once in the role of the guy who signals.) We both took our driver's license from the first try. We drove Adrian's car during the exam. We later referred a friend we knew to Adrian. The friend decided to go with another driving school instead. He was given a date for the exam only to find out, after waiting for the exam day for a month and a half, that no exam had been scheduled for him, and that it had all been a misunderstanding. He eventually scheduled an exam, but failed it. When he later chose Adrian's driving school as we had suggested, he passed the test from the first try. Adrian is patient, courteous, on time, and very knowledgeable. He is passionate about his job, as you'll notice with the first lesson. He goes beyond the standard due to his study of traffic laws in school. When I decided that I was going to move to Dutchess County, I knew the time had finally come to get a drivers license.  I am a city girl and I  never needed a DL before. I found Adrian because I was living in Tarrytown at the time and he was very close.  I read the reviews on his website and I thought I'd see if they were legit. He is by far the best instructor anyone could ask for. He is very patient, honest, friendly, tolerant and always with a very calm demeanor. He really wants to see you succeed and become a good driver.  I think there are a lot of jerks on the road because they were not taught by Adrian.  I have had lessons with him where I think any other instructor would have yelled at me. Not Adrian, even when he sees you being hard on yourself, he will reassure you that you're not doing so bad.  And if you are, he'll find a way to say it where it doesn't sound so bad. :)  I could not have passed my road test (on the first try)  without Adrian's help. Westchester Driving School A++: ADRIAN'S DRIVING SCHOOL is by far one of the very best in all of Westchester. No matter what age you are...I am 22 years old and at first I was quite embaressed for being older than the usual "new" driver, when I first started taking classes. But Adrian turned my fears of driving into confidence form the start. He reinforced to me the rules of the road that I was rusty on. His parallel parking technique is exellent and comprehendable, for all of those who have difficulty...In little less than a month, I passed my road test on the first try...Overall, my experpience with Adrian's Driving School surpassed my expectations.
