I was nervous having read the negative review but contacted Mr. Mahoney and requested a few references. Well I received three pages of references. All the individuals contacted had nothing but positive comments. My son just completed his driving lessons with Mr. Mahoney and passed his road test first time. Both my son and I found him to be extremely professional, knowledgable, and encouraging. His instruction is based on your child's current skills and abilities. I would highly recommend his services and will be using him again next year when my daughter learns to drive.

I had countless of driving lessons with several driving instructors in New York City prior to hiring Mr. Dan Mahoney, I can assure you that Dan is very professional and gets to the point of being precise in teaching to his students the “Rules of the Road” and ensuring that you are a cautious and safe driver. As a result of Mr. Mahoney’s excellent teaching skills, I was able to pass the road test and obtain my driver’s license after several attempts with other driving instructors who did not have the same professionalism, teaching capabilities, or the 20+ years experience that Dan has acquired.
I highly recommend Mr. Mahoney, an excellent driving instructor who is really patient and will really teach you how to drive, will help you obtain your driver’s license and wants his students to always be safe by learning the “Rules of the Road”.

BUYER BE AWARE!! He is the most rude, condescending, unprofessional, con man I have ever come across. I have called another professional driving school, and I was told that there are individuals that posse as professional instructors that should not be and give a bad name to all others that are professional. Now I see what the other instructor meant by that. The only reason I choose this one is because of the close proximity to where I live. He should have retired many years ago; he is supplementing his social security check. He initially stated that it was an hour (60 minutes) long lesson, but turned out that it was only 30 minutes long. This driving lesson was for someone in my family, when she got home she was almost in tears, stating he was rude and was yelling at her during the lesson. When I came out after the lesson with money in hand, (he was sitting in the driver seat with the car running) I tried asking him several questions regarding how the lesson went and how she did. For every question I asked, his response was a loud fake obnoxious laugh, without an explanation. I then asked for a receipt, he grabbed the money out of my hand and took off. Needless to say this was an unprofessional con man, which should not be teaching driving to anyone, including kids or young adults.

DRIVER / BUYER BE AWARE!! He is the most rude, condescending, unprofessional, con man I have ever come across. I was nervous having read the negative review but contacted Mr. Mahoney and requested a few references. Well I received three pages of references. All the individuals contacted had nothing but positive comments. My son just completed his driving lessons with Mr. Mahoney and passed his road test first time. Both my son and I found him to be extremely professional, knowledgable, and encouraging. His instruction is based on your child's current skills and abilities.
