Sounds cliche, but I would give 0 stars if possible. They are some of the rudest, pushiest, unprofessional people you will ever meet. Setting up an appointment with them is a nightmare. My daughter canceled after one lesson because they were so horrible. They harassed my daughter outside of the business hours posted on their website, and then when I tried to call them during these hours no one answered. And they do not have voice mail. I would like an invoice for the one lesson she took. Since I can't call them, I sent them a message via the "contact us" link on their website, But given my past experience with them, I have very little confidence that this contact method works. I question the validity of this business. STAY AWAY! FAR FAR AWAY.UPDATE: 6/3/19: So, true to form, they continued to harass my daughter, so I called their office, and they actually picked up this time. Turns out that not only does the "contact us" function on their website not work, they claim that the whole site is old. They have another site now, but for some reason, the old site is still active... and it comes out as the top recommendation in a Google search. And not once, did they apologize for any of this nonsense, instead, they are treating me and my daughter like we did something wrong. In fact, the owners wife called my daughter and says she doesn't want to do business with "people like us". And the kicker is that my daughter originally wanted to take their "Package #2", which is advertised at $440 on one of their sites, and $530 on the other. They were going to charge me $620. I am so done with this clown company. Read Less

I failed 2x at Saunders driving school. Don't go there. Apple Driving School, gave me the confidence to pass my road test. In all seriousness, I was that guy that was convinced it'd take me 99 tries to get my license because I was scared to take the wheel. Anyway, I passed on my first try with ADS (3rd time in total) I owe it all to Hassan. He's a fantastic teacher, who's very patient! Read Less

Very friendly staff. Farzad, my instructor, was extremely patient and knowledgable. His tips on parallel parking parking, 3 point turns, and overall driving behavior allowed me to pass my road test on the first attempt. The receptionist, Bebi, was very pleasant and encouraging as well. She made an effort to inform me periodically that my test date was approaching and made sure I was ready. Apple Driving School provided the best possible learning experience for me. I have had a couple other driving instructors in the past, but none could compare to Farzad. He really works with you and breaks down the different aspects of driving so you learn everything step by step. Every lesson that I took with him, he always worked on strengthening my weaknesses and maintaining my strengths. I can almost say without a doubt that your time and money will be well spent at Apple Driving School. The level of support you receive up until and even after the road test is incredible and makes you feel like you're a priority student. Please don't waste your time checking other driving schools, make the smart choice and go with Apple! P.S. - I'm not really sure why or how anyone could complain about the prices here, Apple offers the lowest prices in Queens and the quality of service is pretty impressive. Read Less

This school is fantastic. I took my road test for the first time and passed. PROS: Great Location 5 Hour Class included in package Road Test Booking included in package Great Teachers who do their best to accommodate the students Relatively cheap for five lessons. CONS: The receptionist has prematurely hung up the phone in the past. If you decide to go with Apple, I suggest you ask for Joe to be your instructor at some point. He can spot your weaknesses in your driving. With his help, you'll definitely be able to overcome them. Thanks you, guys! Read Less

Pretty ghetto, not gunna lie. I went to the Bellerose location for my lesson and it was just a house with a desk set up in the entry way..The website needs a bit of updating. I signed up for a standard transmission lesson which was advertised at $90 but it was really $110. The driving lesson itself was not what I expected...I was expecting a Corolla or something with an easy transmission to learn on, but the guy showed up in an early 90s Tacoma which had no tachometer. I guess if you can learn stick in an old truck, modern smaller cars are a bit easier. I wish he would have put a Driving School sticker or thingy on the roof, though...people showed me no mercy on the road. But I guess that's a better way to learn. The instructor was actually really good at assessing my level of comfort before advancing into more tricky areas, especially the hilly areas near the Douglaston LIRR. If you're looking for automatic lessons, this place has a bunch of white Corollas that will definitely get the job done. While learning stick in a truck was fun, I wish I could have learned in something a little easier. I have a bit of experience with manuals which is why it didn't take too long to get started in the Tacoma, but I imagine it'd be a bit more difficult for a first timer. Read Less

Very great they put you under pressure so you can deal with the pressure when taking the road test. They make parallel parking easy especially joe. I'm a nervous wreck with anything that's highly needed. I traveled from Suffolk county to queens because all my brothers and even my father have taken this driving school with joe. Suffolk county has horrible driving schools that charge $50 and they charge $35...Joes tough but he'll try his best to make sure you pass. And Hassan is chilled and wants you to be more confident ... I decided to go with Apple driving school to retake my road test after a ten year sabbatical. My first instructor was Joe, he was very patient and explained the rules of the road and provided me with helpful tips on making turns and parking. On the day of my road test I didn't want to take it but he encouraged me and gave me the confidence I needed. I passed. Terrible school -- I kid you not: my instructor fell asleep for a minute during my first lesson, while I was at the wheel at a busy intersection. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive about driving with them after. They also don't keep records of their students; when I asked for another copy of my 5-hour class certificate, they said they didn't even know I took it. The other instructors were ok, but it's a poorly run driving school (no pun intended!) that's a hazard to the road. I actually forfeited the rest of my money and am trying a new school. Read Less

I used the school services for the driving permit 5 hour course requirement. They just play videos for 5 hours and charge $50. At the end, I noticed that my name wasn't written as it should and asked to get a new certificate. Long story short, the receptionist and one of the teachers refused initially, I got yelled at and verbally insulted and got my paper just after yelling back. I can't imagine how is to be sitting next to a teacher like this and trying to learn how to drive. Read Less

Not a bad school, only two instructors, and both are good in their own way. I took ~5 lessons with them, one with Joe and four with Hassan. Hassan was extremely patient and kind, while Joe taught me some excellent driving techniques (such as for parallel parking and making turns).Hassan is good if you have some driving experience and are looking for more practice, and Joe is good if you're learning how to drive. Though I went with another school for my road test (Apple could not take me), I ended up passing with flying colors, and it was my third try, by keeping my instructors' tips in mind. Read Less

I chose this school only because I often saw driving students practicing on my block. Perhaps due to my incompetence, I failed my road test. However, given the actions of my driver, I think he was at fault as well. A nice man, he neglected to tell me very much of what I should expect on the fateful day, nor was his own driving particularly good; I caught him breaking little rules right and left, doing things that would cause me to lose serious points and fail. He also neglected to keep the car's registration information visible, according to the DMV employee administering the test. The woman who answers the telephone is very nice, and I can't give accurate information on other instructors. However, for those looking for a spectacular learning experience, I would save the three hundred and forty dollars and buy a bike. Read Less
