I HAVE TO SAY THAT I MORE THAN AGREE WITH THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAY, THAT HE MUST HAVE WRITTEN THOSE REVIEWS HIMSELF. THE GUY IS HORRIBLE, NON STOP ON THE PHONE WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING, HE DOESN`T TEACH YOU ANYTHING, AND WHEN IT ACTUALLY COMES TO THE ACTUAL DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT HE JUST CANCELS YOUR ROAD TEST WHEN HE THINKS ITS NECESSARY. HE CALLED ME I COULDN`T TALK TO HIM, SO HE NEVER BOTHER CALLING BACK AND JUST CANCELED ON ME. WHEN I GOT TO THE ROAD TEST THEY TOLD ME MY APPOINTMENT IS IN TWO MONTHS. I SHOWED THEM THE PICTURE OF THE CONFIRMATION I GOT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE APPOINTMENT WAS CHANGED FOR SOME REASON 3 DAYS BEFORE. DON`T USE HIM!!!!! HE IS A SCUM BAG!!!!!!!!!! SIMPLY AMAZING, by far the best driving instructor I have ever had! He was my third instructor. The first one was a complete joke, The second one did not teach me how to park correctly at all. As they say third time is the charm is totally correct! With Robert I felt extremely prepared. He teaches you how to THINK like an experienced driver!!! He lets you make critical errors and shows you how to correct them. He's very head strong and strict. He has his hilarious moments, cracking jokes making the experience fun. I recommend this driving school 100%. Failures happen, sometimes the road test instructor sucks, but over all he does advocate for his clients! he makes sure that his students are well taken care of and actually know how to freaking drive well before the day of the exam!!! What to say rather than a huge thank you? Robert is funny, interactive, smart, helpful, thoughtful, and super convenient! From day one he got rid of my fear of driving and really built my inner confidence on the road. He will MAKE SURE you pass on your FIRST try. he was on the phone while we were driving, kept touching my hand and shoulder which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and kept mocking me because it was my first class and i found that to be extremely unprofessional and rude. the lesson wasnt even promised the full hour it was around 45 mins for 35$???? will not be coming back here ever again. excellent, he's easy to get along with and instant friends with, he loves to joke and play around, my first lesson i went on the highway and was no longer nervous... don't worry just follow his directions and you'll be fine. he tests your quick thinking skills and most importantly he gets rid of your fear on the first day, he's a master at his job just follow directions. My previous review was deleted because it was too "graphic"... i will try to keep it simple this time.DO NOT GO TO THIS DRIVING SCHOOL.He uses your lesson hour to pick up and drop off people. He lets you drive in heavy traffic during your very first lesson after you clearly said you have never driven before (BTW you spend half of your lesson waiting at traffic lights as his practice area is full of traffic lights and tons of traffic).If you ask a question he jumps at you saying you are idiot for asking such a question (for him any question is a dumb question, he know always better and never actually answers your questions, just insults you for asking it).He talks on the phone the whole lesson, he speaks in Russian or whatever language that is, while motioning with his hands where you have to turn, which is very confusing, especially for a new driver.He also insults you in front of other students he made you pick up during your lesson (go pick them up in front of their house, wait till they come and hop in the car... All time taken from your lesson).The lessons are never 1 hour long, more like 35 minutes or so @ $35 as he may be late or has to finish the lesson with the previous student and lets you rotten in the back seat thinking you might enjoy it. When I mentioned this to him he obviously yelled at me (WTH) and did NOT offer extra minutes for the next lesson.He always touches the steering wheel or your arm/hand (very uncomfortable, especially for a girl) while you are driving making it impossible for you to learn how to drive.He doesn't think parking is important so he won't let you practice it and if you ask to practice he yells at you reminding you how stupid you are for wanting to practice something so useless as parking.If you open your mouth he insults you, no matter what you have to say. Some days are worse than others. Most of his students are Russians.I really don't know how he got good reviews, I can not stand him. My theory is that the good reviews are for a different school with the same name, check the phone number before leaving a review!Haven't taken my test yet but I will go to a different school (I did go to a diff school and I passed first try!).Robert, please change careers, driving instructor is not for you. I wouldn't recommend this guy at all unless you are  comfortable with mediocre or below par training lessons.I got my license last week and I can only give credit to my self-driving and my brother who lent me his car to practice for a couple of times.The first time I went to him,he immediately asked me to begin driving the car and,I did, but  it I was nervous to no end as the honest fact was I had never driven and automatic car before this.I have previously driven in my home country for 10 years but this was entirely new and Robert didn't care to inquire too if I knew how to drive or even switch on the vehicle!The only reason I could drive was because my  brother had made me practice once earlier in his car.This guy made me drive on all the busy  streets around St.Johns and the only real "help" this guy offered was shouting in Russian and talking on his cell phone while signalling left/right and the worse part was I never even knew sometimes if he was talking to me or was on his phone.He constantly keeps yelling at you instead of actually teaching and correcting you ,or maybe instructing you on the basics,which doesn't really help and actually distracts you from concentrating on your driving.I could't take more than two classes with him as I genuinely felt he was wasting my time,money and lowering my confidence.I paid him on a daily basis i.e., 30$ per day for two days and  felt no need to go back after two classes and wasting my 60$ on such lessons.I went back to practice on my brother's car and I aced the test by scoring zero points on my road test.He might be a funny guy,keeps you entertained and blah blah.. but I am not paying him for entertaining me.I can visit a stand up comedian if I need entertainment. I passed on my first try with Robert's Driving school. He is one of the most dedicated driving instructors I've had. He is available seven days a week and he is willing to pick you up at anytime for a driving lesson. He makes you feel comfortable and he is a very charismatic person. He makes so many jokes and it is never boring. It is very enjoyable. He picks the perfect location to take your rode test that can make you pass. The pricing is cheaper then other driving schools. I strongly recommend anyone to take this driving school. You will pass. Read Less

I'm so confused at all these great ratings. I do not doubt that Robert is an able instructor who can help people pass the road test. However, his customer service skills are well below average. I ended up paying for my last 2 lessons with him a couple years ago & not bothering to even show up because he was so horrible.He used the lesson time to have you drive to pick up his family members and/or friends or other students.. he yelled and screamed even after I mentioned that that type of behavior makes me quite nervous on the wheel.A few days before my scheduled road test, I called him to tell him I had food poisoning and would need to reschedule and he told me to just come take it anyway (I said no). The reason I did not take the last 2 lessons I paid for was because he upset me in the car by yelling and cursing and then when I got visibly upset, he tried to comfort me (which made me very uncomfortable). The reason I write this review this late is because for a while I thought that Robert's way was the only way. That the driving instructor would have to yell in your ear to get you to drive correctly. However, it is NOT and there are many schools out there with instructors who will treat you with respect. Time wasted at this "school." Read Less
