Took about five classes here but didnt learn anything AT ALL.  I went to another school and I learned parking, 3 point-turn, and provided me with really good feedback in only 5 classes and even passed the road test 1 month after.  I was dissapointed that I wasted my money here.  I wasn't given feedback and they just told  me to drive without any instructions.  The 5 classes, I just drove around, according to them "you need practice on your turns" but no other feedback. Had an instructor under the surname Gao. Poor teacher who gives his students anxiety. He always yelled, but that's probably because he was scared shitless sitting next to me as I'm driving. I would not recommend him as he is bad in explaining concepts. For example, when I am approaching a red light, he says "slowwllyy." As a new and inexperenced driver, I interpret that as loosen pressure on gas pedal. I did not know it meant to step on the brake. He has broken English, don't come here unless you know Mandarin. He also takes bathroom breaks. The 90 minute lesson is really actually a 60 minute lesson or less. They take time driving you there and driving you back. On the day of my road test, he totally disregarded my lesson as I BARELY practiced driving. He took MY LESSON TIME to pick up another boy to go to the road test. I paid for 14 lessons (really 7) but did not receive the TIME that I paid for. Overall, I do not recommend this place. I have signed up for a new driving school instead. Read Less

Both my instructors were very friendly and kind, but I feel like I didn't learn anything from them. By the end of the third day I did not want to drive anymore. Instructor didn't teach at all and all he really did do was tell me to turn left, turn right, and text. Bro, that ain't how you teach. At some point he decides I'm driving too far to the left side of a two way road and tells me to drive closer to the right... okay let's do that. In less than five minutes I get into a beautiful accident, note the sarcasm, and break his mirror. Oops. Shoulda looked while I drove, yeah? Like heads up guys, I look like I know what I'm doing, but I learned it from playing bumper cars... so what does that say about my driving? At this point I'm terrified of driving. Like come on I broke the dude's car. My dad stepped in and taught me at home. I more or less used their cars as more practice after my dad's lessons. In the end I passed, but why am I updating such an old review? Cause to this day, a whole year later, I'm still terrified as sh*t when I have to drive closer to other cars or objects. Hated this place, people were mean and all i wanted was for my girlfriend to be ready for the road test. They did absolutely nothing, each lesson does not begin where you left off nor where the weaknesses are. They make you drive to random places and none of these place are actually areas of learning the proper way to drive. Will not be going here again, plus the service was very volatile. The teacher that i had, did not speak any english nor any phrases that would help my driving, he spoke to me and said he recently came from Shanghai. He only spoke mandarin when the person at the school said they speak many languages. They must cater at least english and dialects of chinese if they are to be situated in a bustling area like flushing. They also scheduled my girlfriend for a day they weren't even open on. Definitely an irresponsible and disorganized establishment. Save yourself the trouble. Read Less

Great driving school! The staff was very professional and accommodating to my schedule. The lessons are also pretty cheap compared to other nearby driving schools. My teacher was very patient and taught me everything that I needed to know. I felt very confident on the day of my test and passed the first time. Even though my Chinese skills are limited, I was able to understand and communicate with my teacher very well. I would highly recommend this to anyone living near Flushing! Read Less

I was first introduced to Flushing Auto Driving School from a friend's recommendation, and now I send all my friends there! Within five days of lessons I graduated from being a New Yorker who had scant knowledge on driving to a proud owner of a NY driver's license. Woohoo! The driving lessons here are one on one; you're paired with a teacher and you actually get in the car and learn how to drive from experience rather than simply sitting in a classroom and hypothesizing about how to drive. While the experience of learning how to drive can be nerve-wracking for some, my teacher was extremely patient and actually made the process of learning really fun. It was like learning how to drive from a friend! Another plus was that you not only learn how to drive, but are familiarized with how the road test is scored. Once you're aware of the common mistakes made in road tests you're in good shape. The paperwork is quick and painless and they help schedule your DMV test date for you, which was super convenient for me. Read Less
