I was so nervous to take my road test, I couldn't think about it without wanting to cry. Then I took driving lessons at Steven's and my driving improved so much! Rick was an amazing instructor... he never lost his patience, and he made sure I had all of the info I needed to pass. I passed my test on the first try! If not for Steven's, I don't think I could have even passed on the third or fourth time. I really can't say enough about this driving school! :) Read Less

I live on a quiet residential street in the Winschester area of West Seneca... that is, until summer hits and these clowns decide to spend all day, every day, treating my neighborhood like their personal race track. We have A LOT of kids on this street and BOTH SIDES of the streets are typically jammed with parked cars. Even for the licensed drivers who pay taxes to inhabit this area and call it their home, driving is typically dicey enough. That's its own problem but, the point is, we don't need STEVEN subjecting our children and property to AN EXTREMELY HEIGHTENED potential for injury and damage because the brainiacs on Union Rd woke up one day and decided that they can unleash HORDES of unlicensed drivers on our neighborhood all day, every day, like our home is their personal petri dish. Disgusting. Read Less

I chose Stevens Driving School because those that I had asked had raved about it stating it was probably one of the best for the area I reside in. HOWEVER: my experience with Stevens was not at all what I thought it was going to be. I had Tabitha as an instructor. She was relatively impatient with me when I had only been behind the wheel once prior to my first lesson with her. She also reminded me every lesson how much she hated working with children of a certain age. Although the statement didn't apply to my age bracket it still made me question why she wanted to be an instructor. She always ate her lunch and snacks while I was driving which made me relatively nervous because she wasn't paying attention. She also knew it was wrong because she repeatedly asked me not to mention it to anyone because she would get into trouble. She was very critical and criticized almost everything I did rather than accepting the fact I was a new driver and was prone to mistakes. She also cut my lessons short as they were supposed to be 45 minutes, and promised me that she would make up for it the next lesson and never did. She also scheduled my lessons so that they were months apart. When a spot became available and I declined because I was a full time college student, she would often suggest I skip class or I wouldn't end up getting my license any time soon. As a result of these things and MANY more I won't go into because I don't want to completely bash her, I ended up stopping my lessons with Stevens to practice with my family instead. When I told her my decision she then tried to tell me if I didn't finish the lessons that were paid for, the DMV would not allow me to get my license. This turned out to be a completely false statement as I called the school and they told me that I cannot be denied a license due to not completing an OPTIONAL and NON OBLIGATED experience I wanted to have. This led me to believe that she only cared about the money she received rather than helping someone like me succeed. Overall, I would not recommend that students wishing to take driving lessons work with Tabitha, as there are other instructors to choose from. The school employees themselves were great! And are willing to accommodate your every need including when it comes to choosing who your instructor based on your area of residence. My 1 star review is based on the instructor I was given just to clarify. NOT THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE. Read Less

I opened the door of the car and was immediately assaulted by the scent of cigarette smoke which was somewhat off-putting. I met with the instructor who became impatient as I worked on adjusting the seat to a level appropriate for my height. I am an athlete and take my sport very seriously, I could tell that my instructor was visibly agitated as I made my best effort to schedule lessons so as to not cut practices and competitions. The impatient demeanor of the instructor made me feel uncomfortable. The more uncomfortable I was the more mistakes I made. The prelicensing course was an embarrassment too the building was an utter dump. The instructor clearly did not want to be there and barely taught anything just had us sit there and watch videos of stuff that we already knew. All in all I would not recomend this company to anybody other people may have had great experiences but I did not. Read Less

so this am at Driver's Ed, Maddie was the driver and was hit by a truck while at a red light( everyone's fine) HOWEVER, the INSTUCTOR did NOT get out of the car AT ALL, not to exchange info, nor check to see if the car was ok to drive ( working headlight, blinker ) , he instructed her TO LEAVE, to DRIVE AWAY!  She followed the  instruction of her teacher, continued to drive from Harlem Rd in Cheektowaga to the Tops market on Main and Union in Williamsville..where he had another student drive back to the scene, where they parked. The instructor got out this time and spoke to the truck driver, who said he called Cheektowaga police. The instuctor got back in the car and  told the student to "go ahead" . LEFT THE SCENE TWICE!  WTH ?!?!?!  Kudos to Sweet Home Superintendent ,Tony Day for following up with me! however, the contracted driving co. is STEVENS DRIVING SCHOOL and they have YET to CALL me! the instructor is DON REED !  BEWARE!
