Among worst schools on earth, The Great American Driving Club is on the top of the list. Instructors speak poor English, they swear all the time. They speak of immigrants to have killed the trucking industry as if they are not immigrants. They are always son the phone when you are behind the wheel. Alex, who is the master or head of the school is moody. He is yelling and screaming and he speaks Russian on the phone when you are behind the wheel. He has a bad temper. Another issue with school is poor customer service. Once you pay money up front, forget it, they show up to scheduled training late, they finish trainings early stating that they have family emergencies. At times, they cancel trainings on you, stating that they have doctor's appointment or they have new students who have had no training. They want to please new comers and once they lock in with their tuitions, they forget about new student. They are not into teaching but they are into collecting money. They refuse to refund money when you want to leave them and they are very afraid when you tell them that you are moving to another school. They are bunch of arrogant failures who run the business that they call a school. Once you pay your tuition, they will not answer phone calls, they will keep switching your scheduled training to accommodate new students. They are just poor when it comes to customer services. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Poor use of English language, swearing, poor customer service. Please don't waste your money and time to go to this school. They are other trucking schools in New York City. Look into Queens Trucking School instead. Its rates are much cheaper and they have a great customer service. Read Less

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with this driving school. Alex was my instructor. The guy is a hater to say the least. He can raise his voice on your without a real reason. He can be on the phone at the time of your driving class. The school makes you pay for 5 hour class without a real lecture!!! ( I mean no lecture was given to me, I just gave my money away to get the certificate.) When we came for the road test site, we were 50 minutes early. So I asked Alex to please let me drive on the site, because I was in Staten Island first time in my life and roads there are more narrow than in Brooklyn. He didn't do that for me!!! ( 50 minutes to go!!!) If you could, do yourself a favor and save yourself from headache. Read Less
