Finally i passed my drive test. Thank you, Michelle, for support and big respect and thank you to instructor Brian. He is the best. He is polite, has a good sense of humor and never angry. Before i tried school on Bath Ave. Every time they sent to me different instructor and different car. Young instructor was yelling and don't explain clearly simple things. Fox Auto Driving School s different. All people here are thinking about their clients. Here you can feel like in the family. My boyfriend bought me a 6-lesson package here, and Fox Auto is awesome for extending the expiration date after I missed it! Brian was my driving instructor, and his personality and sense of humor really helped put me at ease, so I learned easily when I was with him. He always recognized what I was saying any time I was having difficulty, and was able to tell me where I was going wrong in a way that I could understand. I passed the road test, first try! I was given 10 lessons and throughout that time I was given 4 different instructors. The one that stood out the most and who I give complete responsibility for passing me is Hugh. Right when I got into his car I was comfortable and at ease. He guided me through parking and teached me how to perfect my K-Turn. Due to having multiple instructors, each had their own way of teaching things and how they believe fundamentally you should drive. Hugh's way however, fit me best and as well as being a very good driving instructor he is also a great individual. He was able to settle me down and give me the confidence minutes prior to taking the road test, and eventually passing. Overall this is a good school! They work with you to give you the schedule you want, especially Michelle, she is a great lady and will help you the best she can. This was the first driving school I went to. I am particularly impressed with the instructor Hugh. He is a kind man, and great teacher. He will make you laugh, and make your road test easy. I love that he shows you what to do, and explains specifically why you are doing certain things behind the wheel. He encourages you, and makes you feel like you are a good driver. I highly recommend Fox Auto espically Hue . He is very passionate at what he does and takes the time and effort to teach you, he's a little tough, but only because he wants to make sure you pass. I had a fantastic experience with this driving school. I was extremely nervous about driving because of an accident I was involved in a few years back and he made the process as painless as possible. He never yelled, would walk me through correcting any mistakes I made and complimented me when I did something well. I have been going to Fox Auto Driving School throughout the years for just about anything i needed for automotive services. They are very dependable, friendly and make sure you get the best service imaginable. They have great instructors, especially Andy who my cousin had for his lessons, he was patient, very informative, and knew exactly what was needed to insure that my cousin would have the confidence and knowledge needed to pass his road test. Above all else, the services they provide are excellent. I recommend Fox Auto to those who are in need of a school where they actually teach you how to drive. I was crossing Ditmas Avenue and E. 4th Street today at noon and was almost hit by a grey car with Fox signage that ran the light. As I jumped out of the way, I pointed to the green light and knocked on the trunk, and the Asian instructor and his female student looked straight ahead. When I tried to telephone Fox to complain, the secretary ""could not"" put me through to a supervisor. Omgg I just passed my road test!!. I am super excited and words cannot explain how happy I am today. Fox Auto is the F-ing best you will not regret coming here. The service is great, the people there are kind people. My instructor was Brian, he is the BEST!! he's the nicest, kindest,most helpful, and funny person you will meet. He has great sense of humor. He will not pressure you. He explains everything in the simplest way for you to understand, he will also give you various tips and tricks on how to drive correctly. His instructions will always stick to you because he comes up with these corny lines to make you remember them such as, ""straightness is greatness, gears before steers, if you don't look ahead you'll end dead"" I know corny but trust me by the end it will be stuck in your head and you will thank him. I thank him for believing in me that I can do it, he has such a big heart. I was very happy with my lessons. I had Marlin and Brian (Marlin has since left) and they were both great instructors. I was extremely nervous about driving and they put me at ease. I passed the road test on my first try, and I give them a lot of credit for helping me. As a few other reviewers have noted, however, their office is pretty bad. The first time I called I assumed it was the secretary's first day since she had to put me on hold while she figured out how to make a reservation, but when she did the same thing the next seven times I called I asked and found out she's been there over a year. if you ask too many questions she panics and tries to end the conversation as quickly as possible and she totally messed up my appt for the road test. She also frequently books appointments and then has to call back and reschedule because they were already booked or the instructor doesn't work that day.I would recommend my instructors for sure, and the school in general if you are flexible in terms of when you take your road test. just be prepared for frustration every time you call to make an appointment. I just took my road test for the first time today and passed. The instructer Brian, is great he explains everything in depth, he makes driving fun and you will never feel uncomfortable in the car with him. Before I met Brian i've never sat in the drivers seat of a car and after ten, 45 minute lessons, I felt as if I've been driving all my life. i passed my drivers test today. took it for the first time and passed. all thanks to my dad and my driving instructer from fox auto driving school brain. he was kind, cared about me and wanted me to pass. i learned things from him ill keep forever when i drive. but most of all he believed in me and that ment alot when your going for your driving test. so if your going to fox auto driving school ask for brain trust me hes a great man. he has real conversations with you and is a funny person. I just passed my road test after taking 8 lessons with Fox Auto. The instructor for all but 1 of the lessons was great-friendly and clear in his instructions. He was a former DMV examiner with lots of inside knowledge about the test. I had a different instructor for 1 lesson who was also very helpful. He showed me a parallel parking trick that was key to my passing. However, booking lessons and the road test drove me INSANE. For example, I called on a Monday and was told the next available lesson was 9AM that Friday. So I booked it, and called the following Wednesday to book more, and to confirm the Friday lesson. I was told by the same person I spoke to Monday that I had nothing booked for Friday, and the next available lesson was the following Tuesday. I reminded her we had spoken on Monday and asked her to check again. No luck. I decided not to push it and booked the rest of my lessons. Friday morning at 9:15 I got an angry phone call from THE SAME PERSON demanding to know why I hadn't shown up for my lesson. I called another day to book a road test at the location nearest to me in Brooklyn. The same secretary said she was busy and asked for my number (she didn't have it already?) so she could call me back in five minutes. An hour and a half later no one had called, so I called back. She said ""Yeah, I already booked your road test for February 5!"" Fine. Then, in the last week of January, I called to book one more lesson. A different person answered and told me I owed them $50, their standard charge for road tests in Staten Island. I finally lost it and went off on the guy about all the sloppy bookkeeping. He said he could either reduce the charge to $25 or book a test in Brooklyn 3 weeks later. I needed my license ASAP, so I was stuck. I tentatively recommend this place because I think they're good at teaching driving. But if you choose them, be sure to get confirmation of EVERY date, time, and location IN WRITING. Read Less

I had the best experience ever. You just have to take your driving license here. Everybody was so kind, thoughtful and so sweet to you. You really feel that they care about you. They take the time with you and really explain everything to you. You shouldn't go anywhere else if you wants perfect results with excellent people. I came to this school from another, I was a little scared to spend more money but they did a great job selling a package and I'm very happy they did. The instructor was very helpful and had knowledge. They worked out a deal that I would come 2 the office b/c they don't service my area, I wasn't to happy about making the trip but once I got my drivers licenses it was all worth it, The instructor was a little loud but that fine with me, i need somebody to tell me what i'm doing wrong. So far I've taken four classes and the instructor I've had has been very unprofessional. I signed up because a co-worker highly recommended them, but I guess the business has changed since he last went. As soon as I got in the car, the instructor is busy chit chatting away, talking about his girlfriend, his personal life , which I don't really care about, constantly distracting me while I'm trying to focus on the road. He'll tell me not to move the steering wheel, but if I didn't, the car would steer too much on one side. So I didn't. Then he'll contradict himself by telling me that I should move the steering wheel. Then he has the nerve to tell me that it was my fault that the roads that I was a bad driver cause the roads were so busy, since I asked for the lessons to be after 5:00pm. Ummm hello, like most people I work full-time, so what do you expect me to do, leave my job during the middle of the day so I can take the driving class. Not only that, this people must be suffering from some kind of inferiority complex, because he seems to like yelling alot, which causes me to become more nervous and I tend to make more mistakes. I can't believe I paid all this money so I can have someone talk to me like I'm a five year old. I'm almost tempted to call and ask for the remainder of my money back so I can go to another location where the staff knows how to treat their customers.
