I decided to go with Denzil’s Auto Driving School after seeing so many positive reviews on Yelp. I can say from my own experience that those high reviews are well-earned. Having Damon as my instructor has been nothing short of a professional and wonderful learning experience. He is great with time management and was frequently a few minutes early for our lessons. Damon was patient as he explained things to me, and did not lose his temper after I made mistakes with certain man...euvers. One of my struggles was with my turns, so he made sure I got lots of practice with that. I was also Damon’s student for the five hour class, which was very informative, and he was even nice enough to buy pizza for all of us during the break. During the class, he gave helpful info on situations that would automatically cause a student to fail, and even provided tips for driving after the road test, such as avoiding tow-away zones and how to deal with parking and traffic tickets. I did not pass the road test the first or second time, but that was not Damon’s fault. My nerves got the best of me and I made lots of careless errors on my road test. However I did not give up on myself and Damon did not give up on me either. Damon encouraged me all the way along and spent lots of time working with me on my weak areas, such as making left turns and timing the turns properly. One thing I would never forget is how responsive he is to customer inquiries. I remember sending him a text to ask a question about the date of my road test, and he answered my question within minutes, while he was vacationing in Florida! The fact that Damon helped me while he was away on vacation shows how much he values his customers. Damon was my first and last driving instructor, and I am so happy that I passed my road test today, on the third try, with a perfect score of 0! I have gotten so much practice and am much more confident behind the wheel. I thank God I had such a helpful instructor and am very grateful for how much I learned from him during our lessons. I highly recommend Damon to anyone who is looking for a patient, knowledgeable and professional driving instructor. After paying online for a $40 credit, I couldn't contact the school at all. I called 3 consecutive days, went there during my free time (they were closed with no sign of when they return). My voicemail must have been sitting in their system for two days now, and my online appointment request... same thing, no response. I just hope I wasn't robbed by a phony school because I already paid and I still haven't heard a word out of this business.... Two stars because they take so long to get back... Read Less

so, I've taken 1 lesson at this school and that's it. The number for them has a full voice mail. My road test is scheduled for tomorrow and I Def don't feel confident that I can pass it. my instructor smelled like cigarette and weed and over all you can never reach them.Read Less

I had purchased a deal for another driving school but the owner was so rude and never honored it. I decided to forfeit that voucher and try another school. I am so glad I did!! I got a group on voucher for the 5 hour class and 2 lessons at Denzils. At the 5 hour class, the owner Damon gave a thorough yet interesting presentation of the material and what was to be expected for the actual exam. He provided refreshments for the students and was very professional. I took a total of 3 lessons with Damon. I have driving experience but have not driven for several years now. He made me feel very much at ease and comfortable on the road. His demeanor is very calm, helpful and positive. I had put off getting my license for some time because I was a bit nervous about driving in NY, but Damon's personality and teaching skills really helped me to prepare for the road test. I passed on the first try! I would highly recommend Denzils Auto Driving School. If there was higher than a 5 star rating, thats what I would give this business. Great job! Read Less
