When it comes to lessons the instructors are well equipped and very experienced to give you the necessary skills to pass your road test. 1st choice is a bomb driving school. My instructor Warren explained in detail with what I needed to know for my road test and gave me the confidence to pass my road test. He's also a very cool instructor and makes driving a lot of fun. Read Less

This morning I was in a mini mall walking to my car and there was a woman driving a car from this company "Alone" even tho it said "Student Driver" all over it!I'm assuming that is illegal to be driving with no license if you are a "Student Driver"As I'm crossing to get to my car,  I am guessing to her I should have stopped to let her pass even tho I was already proceeding to my car or run because instead of Stopping to let a PEDESTRIAN cross! She honked her horn and waved her arm frantically. She then Proceeds to pull up along side the curb (illegal) instead of actually Parking in a spot. And went into Dunkin Donuts.I'm assuming she works at this "Driving school" So who would hire a person 1.) with NO Patience on the road 2.)Does not follow Rules of the road in a small area or Parking lot with businesses,  And 3.) Illegally parks!Bottom Line if you want to learn how to actually Drive!  And Learn the Correct rules of the road!Don't go to this Place! Clearly the first reviewer seems to have had a frustrating experience, however I felt the need to review 1st choice, because my experience was so different. After signing up for the school's classes the office assistant immediately scheduled me for a 5 hour class. The instructor Warren was engaging. What could have been a very boring class was actually quite fun and informative. Then I began my driving lessons and I was very pleased with the level of professionalism the instructors Warren and Jimmy exhibited. They were alway punctual, even for lessons in the early AM. They also always answered my calls and text messages when scheduling follow up lessons. During lessons, I never felt overwhelmed, because they started off small by explaining all the traffic rules, and patiently answered all of my questions. At 1st Choice the neighborhood friendly vibe gave me the sense that I wasn't just a number, and they always tailored their instruction to fit my needs. I had not done much driving before taking lessons, and now I am so much more confident in my driving skills, and was able to obtain my driver's license! Read Less

I wish I could give this school 000000 stars!  I went with this school for two specific reasons. 1. My boyfriend took lessons and passed his test on the first try (And he was superrrrrr nervous) 2. Since my boyfriend went to this school they sent him an email stating that he was being given a promotion that included 4 driving lessons for $100 (Can you say woo-hoo?) So I decided to give it a try! First off in order to get to the school you have to cross this huge street and make sure you don't get hit by any cars on the way! (Brush up on your Frogger playing skills!) Second:the school is tiny! I mean it is like the size of a tiny studio apartment and it is so dingy and rundown. The front gate looked like jail bars and there was duct tape stuck to the side of it. Absolutely no curb appeal. As I approached the front gate I prayed that at least let the staff be nice. No such luck! I go inside and there is this little old lady sitting there with her crusty foot elevated on one of the dingy office chairs! I look at her, smile and say hello. She manages to eek out a small grunt which I think might have been hello but I cannot be to sure. Along side her and sitting behind the cluttered filled desk was another, what I assumed, receptionist. This one was much more approachable and managed to get me to smile (So there is life out there!) I sat there and spoke to him as he completed my registration and took my money. Alright so I am ready for my driving lesson! Right? Wrong! I was told that I would have to wait a week or so for my lesson because the instructors were busy with previous obligations. But when week three passed and I did not hear anything I decided to give them a call. I was told someone would call me and set up my first lesson by the end of the week. I did not get a call however I did get a text from my instructor asking about my availability  which I happily provided. After that I began receiving email after email stating that all four of my lessons had been set up. I noticed that they had the wrong pick up address so I sent a message to my instructor informing him of the error and giving him the correct pick up address. To which he replied "Call the school"  (What? Why couldn't he just take the address?LOL) So I called the school and when I could not reach anyone I sent out another text to which I never got a reply. On the day of the lesson I got up extra early (my lesson was at 11:15am) and I called the school to make sure they had the correct pick up address. After getting off of the phone I proceed to get dress so I could be ready and down stairs on time. When 11:15am rolled around I was already in my coat. 11:20...11:45...11:55..12:10 no instructor. By 1:00pm I was pissed! I called the school who then told me they would call the instructor. I received a  text about 30 mins later saying that I had canceled my lesson but not to worry I would get the lesson back have a nice evening! Not only did i NOT cancel my lesson but I also called the school that morning to make sure they had the right address! Needless to  say I asked for my money back. A school that cannot get a simple driving lesson right was a school I did not want to deal with.I just thought this school was very unprofessional, I though the instructor was disrespectful and I will never recommend this school to anyone looking to get their DL.
