I took a package here, 5 hour class, 3 driving lessons and they scheduled the road test for me. 5 hour class was interesting and went by fast, price was right and my instructor knew what he was doing so I passed the road test. I had to wait only one month from getting my permit to the road test, usually it takes longer.Read Less

This was the 3rd driving school I went to. I decided to take a chance with them and I do not regret my decision. I originally had a 5 lesson package. My driving instructor was Carlos. He was a very strict instructor, but I felt like I needed someone like that to teach me how to drive. He told me I needed additional lessons so I paid for extra lessons. We drove at different times of the day to get a feel of different types of traffic. He definitely pushed me to be a safe and skillful driver. I passed my road test and I couldn't be more thankful! Got my permit in 2013, didn't bother to practice much driving or anything. Fast forward a couple years and I've got a deadline before my permit expired. So I decided to work with Gul. I took 10 classes with Ms.Advoni and 5 extra more just to be on the safe side. Ms.Advoni is an amazing instructor, he taught me everything I know about cars. I being the person that I am afraid to even get on the road, he completely took that fear out. Yesterday, for the 3 time I got on one of the biggest/busiest highways I-95 and I just laughed with myself because everytime I would say "I can't do it" to Ms.Advoni he would always insure me that I would be great. Here I am two months after passing my road test with a brand new 2017 Jeep Compass and driving like I've been on the wheel for years. Thanks to Ms.Advoni. I purchased the 5 lesson package and I had my lessons with Gul.  Out of the 5 lessons I feel like I only learned something during my last lesson right before the road test - needless to say, I failed. During the first 4 lessons he was more worried about yelp reviews than teaching me how to drive; he was constantly barking and grabbing the steering wheel which is no way to help a person learn. Originally I tried to start my driving lessons with another driving school in the Bronx, but the instructor was too unprofessional and always changed the date for my lessons. I heard about Gul from my godmother who Gul not only taught to drive, but also her husband and later on her two children. Gul is very professional, he's always on time and keeps track of your appointments and payments. I had a package of 6 lessons with Gul and I paid for 1 more lesson. The price is very affordable, but as a college student who dorms, I didn't have the time or money for anymore lessons, so in total I've only driven 7 times with little to no outside driving experience. I took my road test today and I passed with ease. Gul really is the best if he can take an inexperienced driver, give them 7 lessons, and they pass the road test. Do not have Jop Magatte as your driver instructor. During lessons talked on the phone, which was very distracting. Also he wouldn't fully explain directions multiple times. Seemed to get frustrated if you made too many mistakes. Did not feel motivated or comfortable with him. Wish I had a different instructor but I bought the package deal. Lesson learned. Read Less

these guys are awesome. My mom went here 25 years ago and the same guy taught me how to drive. He teaches you HOW to drive and DOES NOT just ""take your money"". I thought I was ready to pass and he told me i needed a little more practice. He was right and i passed my road test with ONLY 5 points off!! Read Less
