I would recommend Ruki driving school to all interested in learning how to drive. From the secretaries down to the instructors everyone is so helpful. Their universal goal is to provide each student with the tools to become a capable driver thus passing the road test. Sam is an excellent instructor. He was very patient, and knowledgeable. Sam was able to answer any questions I had regarding the rules of the road. He pushed me to face my fears about driving. Because of him I was able to pass the road test on my first try. Although I took the majority of my driving lesson with Sam I had one lesson with Roland. He boosted my confidence in my driving ability 100%. Roland is also an excellent instructor with a calmness that sets the student at ease while behind the wheel. I am very thankful that I decide to make Ruki my driving school. I don't want to forget The YouTube videos by Big Mac Sam. Those videos helped me a great deal. Everyone needs to subscribe. 5 stars for this company. From the receptionist to the instructor, I was able to have a very pleasant experience. The receptionist was patient and understanding with making appointments and figuring out the best plan for me. Sam is a very patient and caring instructor. After only two refresher classes, I was able to pass my road test. I had issues with my parallel parking. The technique he showed me made it so much easier, and now I am very confident in my driving. I had my first road test today, and I passed thanks to the help of the amazing instructors at Ruki!!!I had been to several other schools in the past that would have me wait in the back as other people finished their lessons or pick me up super late after my lesson was actually scheduled to start, but RUKI was so professional!!!I had the 10 lesson package and my instructors were MR.FRANK AND ROLAND!!!Both were EXTREMELY professional, and encouraging!!!!I had such a fear of parallel parking and both men let me know that I was capable of overcoming it!!They were each on time for pick up and never made me feel like I was just another lesson, they really wanted to make sure I was comfortable and let me know I was capable of passing!!I was taken to the road test by Sam, and although I had not met him before he also gave me input and assured me that I would do a great job on the road test. He even made a sign for me as he got out the car that said, "You got this!" Today 07/25/2017 I passed my road test.. it was a long journey that began in 2014 with another driving school in the Bronx. My mom died during this first stint and I left 3 classes on the books with that driving school. Fast forward to August 2016, I decided to try another school in Yonkers, after all the gleaming reviews. I did the five hour class with this school and signed up for five lessons. The instructor was okay, but I didn't really feel I wanted to go ahead with him so I left 1 class on the books and moved on. This year 2017, in late March, after once again reading reviews and seeing the great reviews for my past two driving schools/driving instructors, I started to wonder if I made a mistake by not continuing with them. But I didn't look back, I pressed on and that's when I decided to give Ruki Driving School a chance. BEST DECISION from the time I called, and was lost the receptionist at the time Andrea, literally stayed on the phone with me as she directed me to the office. My instructor for All my lessons was TJ.. he is by far the best instructor I've ever had, and yes I had two before him. Always on time , and he is the perfect instructor who "gets it" - not all students are the same.... I tried another driving school before Ruki and didn't feel satisfied with them at all. I tried to take the driving test twice with that other school and failed both times. I really felt frustrated and I tried out Ruki... needless to say I'm glad I did. I took lessons with Audrey and she pointed out flaws with my driving that people never bothered to tell me about before as well as many driving pointers that would help me for the road test. I felt better about passing the road test than I did in the past. The only regret I had was that Audrey went on vacation during the week of my test. I had gotten my license many years back out of state while in college, then I moved to NYC and needed to refresh all over since I didn't drive for 4years. I don't regret going to Ruki Driving School!!! They are very professional-from the drivers to the receptionist! They are also technologically advanced with scheduling, payments etc and their office is very welcoming. My instructor Leo helped me gain confidence with driving and also with other things such as where to take my car for servicing and other questions I had because I was pretty much a new driver and didn't know anything about cars. I just passed my road test an hour ago!!! It feels extremely good to pass the test on my very first attempt!!! I do not own any car and I do not have any relatives or friends who were willing to let me borrow their cars either, so, the only practice I got was from the driving school with my instructor. I DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ruki Auto Driving School!! Their service is GREAT! They are awesome people and the instructor is SUPER EXCELLENT! They are very patient and motivating and goes beyond their way to help their students pass the road test. Leo is the absolute best. This man literally taught me how to drive a in few months; from never having touched a car to passing the road test and confidently driving on the highway.
