Not worth $40 an hour. Micheal took me once & did not complete the whole hour , Chris said I drive like a Jamaican , ( I am Jamaican) so what are you saying ? Booked my road test , kept asking them to tell me when is it so I can get more lessons in. I was ignored & then texted a day before my road test that I need to have $50 & that my road test is tomorrow. That's not how you run a business. Very Unorganized .. you guys talk to much about other people , worry about yourself. Chris needs to buy air fresheners for her car to because it always smells like cigarettes. Read Less

I was able to pass my road test on the first try. Great school and great instructor. They brake it down to the basics and make sure you know what you need to know to be a safe driver and to be able to get your license. Very uncomfortable experience, Michael my instructor needs to learn and understand the psychology of teaching. He took questions as an insult, has a very nasty attitude, lacks patience and he's very antagonistic, doesn't know how to make students feel relaxed and comfortable. And I'm not even gonna go into all his negative remarks about Jamaicans on more than one occasion (which is pure ignorance and stupidity given that their school is in an are made of predominantly Jamaican people). This driving school was ultimately the best. The instructors assess your driving strengths and weaknesses and help you to best incorporate them into your driving. I would recommend this driving school if you want to pass the road test on your first try. Read Less

Great school. I had Chris as my instructor, i was a nervous wreck but she took me under her wings and after 5 lessons i passed my road test. I love the fact that she conversates with me, that helped to calm my nerves and feel comfortable. keep up the good work guys. Read Less

GO HERE! they are the best. very professional and not only did they help me pass my test with flying colors but i am a good driver. they helped my sister drive too. im glad i went through them and no one else. and i NEVER write reviews. this is my first and last one. i had to write so i can tell you to disregard the rude comments. they were fantastic! id use them again if i had to do it all over again. Great driving school, i honestly believe if it wasn't for the lessons i learned with riveras i would not have passed my road test. The staff is friendly, the instructors are patient and work with you to be a good driver. I highly recommend riveras driving school to anyone who is in need of driving classes, you won't regret it. I've been to many driving schools around the area... The majority out there are new and have some quirk (like horrible instructors, cars, etc). I feel that each instructor taught differently and each time I went to a different place I would have to unlearn everything previously learned from the other places. Also, many pressured me into taking the road test even though I knew very well that I wasn't ready.That being said, I was very thankful for Rivera's because they've been around for the longest (turns out they taught my mom! and many other family generations). With them I recently passed my road test. It was my second attempt (I messed up the first try because I was very nervous..but the skills were there). As far as the other reviews stating that they're a scam... I don't get where they're coming from. I paid for one lesson at a time, never used packages (anywhere), and never had to deal with anything suspicious. Also, it was a good deal...45 min for 35 bucks. Read Less

i have failed my road test at another school. they weren't patient and didn't teach me anything just took money and pointed where to go. so once i failed i found rivers driving school . they took their time and understood my current situation. christina was my instructor and she was amazing. lets just say i got my license thanks to them. This is the best driving school, I guarantee you. The office staff, Maritza and Michael are amazing and kind. Chris taught me how to drive and she is wonderful. She is the kind of teacher that everyone needs. She guides you well and is realistic. I passed my driving test on the first try, and can safely say that I am very comfortable behind the wheel. My mother went there before me and they helped her tremendously (She didn't know how to drive worth a crap lol) Rivera's will end up feeling like a second family to you because they are amazing people period. Here is the advice, I wish I followed: Be sure to ask questions prior to giving them any money. Signs of rude staff or inapproriate service- RUN. Lessons and service should be given by professionals, especially in a servicing industry, like an auto school. I highly recommend that you not wait your time (need for lessons) or money (need for lessons). This organizations scams people out of their money - BECAREFUL! Read Less
