This place is completely unprofessional and unorganized! The receptionists talks to much and doesn’t provide helpful or useful information. The sole driving instructor is impatient, rude, and overworked. Now it’s a hassle for me to even schedule the driving test that I already PAID them to schedule for me. I would not recommend this school to anyone. After every lesson I went home feeling less confident and less excited than before I went. EDIT: Still 100% would not recommend this place to anyone! The driving instructor Melvin is unhelpful and completely biased. The day of my driving test (which was only scheduled after my parents physically went to the shop and demanded the scheduled a date for me) he had another girl drive to my house to pick me up, and gave her practice time. I did not get to practice with him, he gave me no words of encouragement and only finally gave me advice when it was my turn to get into the car. If I could give a zero I most definitely would. Started off good last year then I ended up going through some issues such as moving. I decided to start again about two months ago and let me tell you I waited for that two months running around with Melvin and his wife. He was very disrespectful yelling at me because I had to move. Come on we all go through rough paths in our lives and that was one of mine. He screamed at me and my mother on the phone , accused me of giving him a wrong number and never called me back. Though, his wife claimed he has called me and I never picked up???? Reminding you I sat and waited 2 months and all she keeps telling me is about everyone who passed the test yesterday like come on I've waited 2 freaking months ! Worst experience ever! I used to drive back home in my country but for the 7yrs I haven't driven a thing. I told Mr. Melvin that I needed only one lesson and that was a disaster. I did only 2 more lessons and during that little time, with his passion for teaching he rebuilt my confident with the no sense person that he is. Deserves 0 stars. Worst driving school I've ever been to. I am not one of those customers who are extremely picky, but I was so upset with this service that I had to share my experience. To keep it as short as possible, this was a terrible experience because my instructor (Melvin) was so unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns. Melvin and I agreed upon an 8:15am appointment. I called him that morning to confirm my appointment again. I got to my appointment at 8:15 because I also had my road test at 10 and I wanted to have a last minute lesson and not be late to my road test. 9:00 comes and I am annoyed because Melvin is still not there. I called and he told me that he stopped for breakfast and would be there soon. He gets there around 9:15. I ask him how we were going to have an entire driving and get to my road test all in 45 minutes. His response was, "I don't understand why you care, you're going to be able to drive and I'll get you to your road tests by 10". I care because I don't live in the area and if you were going to be late you could have told me that when I called you that morning. Anyway, of course I still wanted the lesson as I was nervous about my road test. Guess what my lesson was? Driving to my road test! We got to practice parallel parking and 3 point turing ONCE. And he gave me absolutely no feedback on these maneuvers so I wasn't sure if I did them correctly. When I asked if I parallel parked correctly his response was "is the car behind the car in front of you?". Very frustrating. His answers followed this tone for most of the lesson and eventually I just stopped asking. Also, remember when I said I got to the appointment at 8:15, an hour and 45 minutes before the road test? Melvin made me 20 minutes late to my road test. I was livid. His response was "you don't need to be on time for your road test, there's going to be a line". There was no line. There were other things that made the experience terrible but, I'll stop here. I wouldn't recommend this school because they are very inconsiderate with your time, do not know how to give feedback and therefore hinders you from improving your technique, and they don't communicate with you as a paying customer, but more so as a child. If you are looking for a driving school that teach you how to move a car forward and backward then this school is not for you. However if you need a driving school to teach you the rules and regulation of the the road, how to be a safe and conscientious driver among other defensive ways of during then you are at the right school. Melvin is a no nonsensical instructor who will teach you the art of driving which is often lacking on the road. I contacted the driving school a couple of weeks ago to set up an initial appointment prior to committing to one of their packages. My reasoning for this is that I've taken a couple of lessons in the past with another driving school and the fit just wasn't compatible, so going forward I wanted to make sure that the instructor's teaching style would work for me before shelling out hundreds of dollars. Seems reasonable right? Well apparently Presidential doesn't think so. In fact, the woman who answered the phone kept talking over me and not listening to a single word I said once I told her I was initially interested in signing up for a trial lesson before signing up for a package. I never indicated that my end goal was this one lesson, because that's absolutely absurd, but she kept trying to convince me to sign up for the package because I wouldn't learn anything with just one lesson. Even though I'd explained to her MULTIPLE times that that wasn't what I was saying. She also kept saying how they gave priority to people who signed up for packages, which is complete bull to me because either way you'd be receiving one lesson at a time, so how is this different?? After 5 minutes of her repeating herself she took my info and said the instructor would call me to schedule an appt for next week. This was on Monday, I called back on Friday and told her I'd never heard from anyone about my lesson. We then had literally the same convo we'd had a few days ago because she didn't know who I was, then she took my info AGAIN and gave me the same empty promise. This was 3 weeks ago and no one ever called me. The impression I got is they are more interested in their own profit rather than with what works best for the client. I wish I could give them a 0. I will be looking for another driving school but I wouldn't recommend this one. If they do not like offering individual lessons then why have them as an option on your website?? Read Less

Well I just left from PASSING MY ROAD TEST. Ok let me tell you the story: I'm from Brooklyn and I was so use to driving trucks, manual cars, and driving like I was in Jamaica all over again... So first I went to globexx in Brooklyn for my first road test and I failed like its nothing. Second was just 3 weeks ago I believe and I failed again by 40 pts with Mr edd driving school. I was tired and confused: drive my dad to work, drive everybody to places and I was told that I was a good driver. Until I decided to do some intense research and found Presidential Driving School. Melvin... Oh my dear Melvin... Deh Mon crazy yuh kno!? But him bring back my confidents, learned things that both driving schools didnt teach me and adopt to the facts! No la-la land when it comes to him. I made sure to get as much information as possible from him: I didn't even need to ask he just tells you straight up and it's something idk that just gets you mentally prepared! I passed it today and the lord knows that this driving school is not no ting yuh ah see inna deh corner.... Nahhh' . I said too much go to presidential driving school y'all: cause if a girl like myself that's from Brooklyn ny, took the 2 train which was 2hrs or maybe more to him to practice... I first want to thank God for placing me in the right driving school! I have been to 2 other driving schools over the past 4 years and have not passed. With my 4th driving exam on the line, I decided to take the (8) 45 minute lesson package with Mr. Melvin and I must say, I now feel like a driver. The other schools I went to just taught me what I needed to know to pass the road test. However, not only does Mr. Melvin teach you how to pass the road exam, he also teaches you how to be a safe driver in the real world (since there are a-lot of improperly trained drivers esp in NY). So (for those who may be wondering) today was my road test and I was so thankful to finally hear the words "CONGRATULATIONS" from the examiner at the end of the 15 minutes. I was so happy because this was my first time taking the exam with Presidential and I actually PASSED. For anyone thinking they cant drive after failing so many times like myself or for others who are looking to actually learn how to drive without being nervous, please call Presidential right now! I am proud to say I am now a presidential alumni. :)P.S. Ms. Lilly is the most amazing woman ever! She always called to remind me about when my lesson was and what I needed for the exam. He taught me stuff that people who have been driving for years still do not know. I would recommend presidential to anyone.
