My daughter asked on Lockportians for a recommendation for a driving school. Cordaro Driving School came highly recommended. I would like to say although at one point he may have been great that is no longer the case. I work in customer service so you can understand that I do realize how it can be. Here are the issues we had with him:
1) Cordaro doubled booked lessons 2 times out of 16(booking a lesson at the same time as a students road test).
2) Cordaro didn't show or text/call to notify my daughter he wasn't going to be able to keep the lesson 4 out of 16 lessons.
3) Cordaro consistently asked to reschedule lessons multiple times in the day of a lesson. And consistently ran 20 minutes late on top of that.
4) When asked why the above was happening, Cordaro's response was "I don't know what's going on with me ". I suggested using his calendar on his phone.
5) Cordaro was consistently making phone calls while trying to instruct causing distractions.
6) Cordaro pushed my daughter to schedule her road test without having taught her the more difficult things like parallel parking, and K turns and never took her driving on the expressway as promised.
7) When asked why the difficult things had not been told yet, Cordaro responded "I do this for a living" . I believe Parallel parking and 3 point turns are essential things to learn and feel comfortable doing before scheduling a road test.
My daughter did recieve all 16 lessons and pass her road test on her first attempt. I am posting this so you know how what to expect if you choose to do business with him.

When I say this was one of the best thing we could of did for our daughter was get the right person to guide her to a successful driving experience so she understands the rules of the road and is prepared for driving. She was so comfortable with him she said he took his time and was very patient with her and also made sure she knew what she was doing wrong and helped her with correcting it. So to Cordaro Driving School we thank you so much for a successful experience and helping insure us that with the lessons she will be a better driver and we agree. Thank you for help making tamiah a license driver. I definitely recommend this driving school!

John did an excellent job preparing my 3 kids for driving. He was flexible with the scheduling of the lessons and all 3 passed their road test on the first try. Also, the defensive driving certificate they received greatly reduced our insurance costs.

I was very pleased with John. He worked around my sons busy schedule. Very professional. As he may have been late a few times but always made sure to call and let us know. John also made sure my son was ready for his road test before he schedule the test. I would recommend this driving school to all my friends and family. Thanks again John for going over and beyond my expectations.

John is a great instructor. He cares about students and makes sure we all learn how to drive safely instead of just passing the road test. I took 12 hours course with him and passed my road test on my first try in Buffalo. I would recommend this to anyone!

John is a very professional trainer who gives clear and helpful instructions during training. It is always a pleasure to drive with him because he is also very friendly and nice to talk to. The driving course also includes the 5 hour pre-licensing course and 6 hour insurance reduction course so it is of great price. John will give extra training with no extra cost to make sure the student can pass the road test. Strongly recommended.

Took classes with John last semester. Every car ride was enjoyable. He was very energetic and fun to talk to. I failed twice in NYC and finally decided to give Buffalo a try. I PASSED ON THE FIRST TRY!!! John knows what is he doing and would not sign you up to the road test, knowing that you will fail. He is either super early or late due to the fact that it's a one-man company but if he say he will pass you, he will. A confident man of his words. Highly Recommend, from someone who have taken 3 other instructors.

Cordaro is a great instructor. Other than the fact that he is almost never on time, due to being such a hard working man, he is the best. I don't think there are other competitor who will charge you lower than him, and he is an instructor whom you can connect with. Driving isn't "boring" and strictly driving, its casual driving. If you pick him, you won't be disappointed (other than lateness)

Just finished my 12 hr lesson package with Cordaro Driving School. John is a good instructor and was very thorough however he is not dependable when it comes to being on time. He was consistently extremely late and rescheduled last minute. However- I do recommend him because he drove me to both driving tests after failing the first one, was priced cheapest among his competitors and got me into his schedule immediately.

This is an excellent driving school. Dr Cordaro constantly gave me tips throughout our several lessons on what to expect when I took the Road Test. He made sure I was 100% ready and confident before taking the test, so by the day of it was a cake walk. I would recommend this school to any students that go to UB, or live in the surrounding area.

My daughter asked on Lockportians for a recommendation for a driving school. Cordaro Driving School came highly recommended. I would like to say although at one point he may have been great that is no longer the case. I work in customer service so you can understand that I do realize how it can be. Here are the issues we had with him:
1) Cordaro doubled booked lessons 2 times out of 16(booking a lesson at the same time as a students road test).
2) Cordaro didn't show or text/call to notify my daughter he wasn't going to be able to keep the lesson 4 out of 16 lessons.

When I say this was one of the best thing we could of did for our daughter was get the right person to guide her to a successful driving experience so she understands the rules of the road and is prepared for driving. She was so comfortable with him she said he took his time and was very patient with her and also made sure she knew what she was doing wrong and helped her with correcting it. So to Cordaro Driving School we thank you so much for a successful experience and helping insure us that with the lessons she will be a better driver and we agree. John did an excellent job preparing my 3 kids for driving. He was flexible with the scheduling of the lessons and all 3 passed their road test on the first try. Also, the defensive driving certificate they received greatly reduced our insurance costs.

I was very pleased with John. He worked around my sons busy schedule. Very professional. As he may have been late a few times but always made sure to call and let us know. John also made sure my son was ready for his road test before he schedule the test. I would recommend this driving school to all my friends and family. John is a very professional trainer who gives clear and helpful instructions during training. It is always a pleasure to drive with him because he is also very friendly and nice to talk to. The driving course also includes the 5 hour pre-licensing course and 6 hour insurance reduction course so it is of great price. I PASSED ON THE FIRST TRY!!! John knows what is he doing and would not sign you up to the road test, knowing that you will fail. He is either super early or late due to the fact that it's a one-man company but if he say he will pass you, he will. A confident man of his words. Cordaro is a great instructor. Other than the fact that he is almost never on time, due to being such a hard working man, he is the best. I don't think there are other competitor who will charge you lower than him, and he is an instructor whom you can connect with. Driving isn't "boring" and strictly driving, its casual driving. If you pick him, you won't be disappointed (other than lateness)

He was consistently extremely late and rescheduled last minute. This is an excellent driving school. Dr Cordaro constantly gave me tips throughout our several lessons on what to expect when I took the Road Test. He made sure I was 100% ready and confident before taking the test, so by the day of it was a cake walk. I would recommend this school to any students that go to UB, or live in the surrounding area.
