Sent my son through this class. VERY disappointed with scheduling times and class instructors. Were not helpful from Dave McGinnes down to the pwrson answering the phone. Kid is happy. He'll be a safe driver. I found the evaluations varied a great deal from instructor to instructor---much like "regular" school. So I'm not so sure some of his grades weren't inflated. I'm also less than thrilled with the customer service. Going elsewhere for kid #2. I'm sure that decision makes both me and the school happy. Read Less

This place is the worst business I have ever step foot in mr. McGinnis and his wife are the most rudest people I've ever met in my entire life I would never recommend this place to anybody I personally was a student McGinnis School of Driving I was sitting down in class my phone ring I simply ignored it mr. McGinnis walked up to me and told me to get up and hold me straight to his wife's office she then started yelling at me because I had my phone in my hand and told me to get off of her property and that I was dismissed and then I was free to leave mr. McGinnis and his wife then decided that they were not going to refund any of the money that I had put into it because I already used the material that they had given me so as I was forced out of their office and onto the street as I waited for my ride to get there well then knowing I was pregnant in my personal opinion this is the most lowest thing a person could possibly do to somebody in class mr. McGinnis pacifically only cared or talked about money that's our money that he never was concerned about the safety of others just about his pocketbook this is by far the worst company I have ever step foot in once again this is not the only business to take drivers ed there are plenty of other well known professional businesses that deserve your well-earned money instead of these Crooks I hope you take into consideration what I'm saying coming from a person that has to deal with these types of people don't waste your time nor your money it is definitely not worth it they keep your social security numbers and birth certificates logged into their computer at their own will give them back nor any refunds these people should never be in business terrible people in terrible business Read Less

Took my daughter here today to get her road test. Was referred here by MVD Express, who indicated they were able to do her road test and get her provisional license. Mr. McGinnis, who was the road tester, was incredibly condescending to both me and my daughter. We were charged $80 to get the "expedited appointment" (within a week) and a rude road test in their vehicle. Mr. McGinnis took several points off on the test because my daughter didn't lock his car's doors before star...ting, and she was unfamiliar with the acceleration and braking, and missed some target speeds and just passed the white line before a crosswalk at a stop. This was an ENORMOUSLY BAD EXPERIENCE. NEVER GO TO THIS BUSINESS!! Once I paid $80 here, I went to MVD Now to get her license (Lomas and Eubank), and had a wonderful customer experience and will bring my business to them going forward. See More Read Less

Seriously reconsider old school of driving or take the drivers ed class offeredat ideal nm online or through the school if it's offered. Impossible to get a provisionalwithin a reasonable amount of time (could take 4-5 months) didn't teach road hazardsAlso probably the most expensive option. Read Less

Wow!  As the previous reviewer stated they are out to get more money.  Now you can only schedule driving time every 3 weeks vs 2 weeks.  Every time we went online to schedule, the classes filled up fast.  They stated this was due to the fact that most of their teachers went back to school.  And if you want to fast track, you can pay them an EXTRA $107.00.  To try to contact the mgr is a chore to discuss this issue.  I am not very happy!  I sent my son here because I took lessons from Mc Ginnis with a positive experience, eons ago, but now it seems that their integrity has diminished and they only want money.  This may be their policy, which my teenager and I, unfortunately didn't catch.  Otherwise we would have not joined up.  Go somewhere else, if you don't want to wait so long and I have to constantly try to schedule with their limited classes.  Grumble!! Then he got mad at a student because one student kept on answering all of the questions being that no one else wanted to answer a question. Very deceptive marketing regarding their "25% insurance discount". They claim you'll be eligible if you go through their driver's education class, but, please be aware that I have yet to find an insurance company that actually gives this so-called discount. I decided to call McGinnis to ask which insurance company offered the discount and got into a screaming match with the woman on the other end! I couldn't believe it. She said she couldn't tell me which insurance companies gave it, etc, etc. She was RUDE and I think their whole company is filled with deceptive and misleading practices.
