I don't usually write reviews but wanted to write this one because my driving instructor John deserves a big thank you! At age of 42 I was a complete novice when he took me out driving on a snowy February day. For the next several lessons I spend with John he arrived on time for each of them and I never once felt that my time was wasted. I learned so much valuable information and skill from him and gained the confidence necessary to pass my road test without a glitch. John is confident and calm, thorough and careful in his job. You would not regret if your child or you learn the basics of safe driving and the skills needed to pass that road test from a veteran instructor like him, because he truly cares. What can one say about a school whose instructors will do approximately 40 MPH in a school zone? There is a bright yellow sign on the top of the car to let you know exactly who the business is that endangers children! This leads to many questions about the ability of the instructors and the efficacy of their teaching.I would venture to say that "stay away" is the proper statement to invoke when mentioning Slim's Driving School. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE of this School.... My son took this Class. Before he started his driving lesson, the Instructor would stop at a Deli and pick up a sandwich which he ate while instructing my Son.  On his last day, the Instructor told him he drives very well and does not need to go on the highway and could go home if he likes.  I OFTEN see one of the Instructor's at a near by park walking around smoking a cigar while the Student Driver is waiting for him.  My son never even learned how to parallel park.  Your son or daughter my not complain thinking that they do not need this class, however, for the safety of your children please carefully investigate a driving school for your child.  Ask if you can go with them. What they learn or do not learn in this crucial class will stay with them for their life.  Also consider the fact that the number 1 cause of teenage death is due to Automobile accidents. Read Less
